Our Walk and Our Talk: Part 2 (1 John 2:3–11) // The Marks of Maturity
2026/09/30
In Part 2 of “Our Walk and Our Talk,” pastor James D. Gailliard continues through 1 John 2:6–11, focusing on the Christ we must conform to and the compassion we must cultivate.
Spiritual formation changes both who we are becoming and how we are living. The character of Christ becomes our pattern, His choices become our practice, and His cross shapes our posture of surrender. Christian maturity is more than imitation—it is transformation.
Pastor Gailliard also examines how our relationships with people reveal the condition of our walk with God. Hatred contradicts the light we claim, while love becomes evidence that the life of Christ is being formed within us.
Spiritual maturity is not demonstrated only by how much Bible we know, but by how we handle people.
Formation is when the Christ I claim is increasingly the Christ people see.

Our Walk and Our Talk: Part 1 (1 John 2:3–11) // The Marks of Maturity
2026/09/23
Our Walk and Our Talk — Part 1
1 John 2:3–11 | James D. Gailliard, Senior Pastor
What does it look like when our walk begins to match our talk?
In this Bible study, pastor James D. Gailliard teaches on the mark of formation—the lifelong process of becoming more like Christ in what we believe, how we behave, and how we relate to others.
Through 1 John 2:3–11, we learn that spiritual formation is not about perfection, but progression. Anyone can make a claim of faith, but Scripture gives us a way to examine whether what we profess is increasingly being reflected in how we live.
Pastor Gailliard also explores the relationship between knowing God and keeping His commandments. We do not obey God to earn relationship; rather, obedience becomes evidence of that relationship. As our love for God grows, it should increasingly produce a life that reflects His Word.
Key Scripture: 1 John 2:3–11
Additional references: John 14:15, 21; Deuteronomy 6:4–9

Don't Tell Me, Show Me (James 2:14-26) // Exposing Fake Faith
2026/09/13
In this message from the Exposing Fake Faith series, Pastor James D. Gailliard teaches from James 2:14–26 and challenges us to examine whether our faith is only something we talk about—or something people can actually see.
Real faith is more than words. It produces action. It responds to need. It demonstrates what we believe through the way we live.
If faith never moves us, serves through us, or changes how we respond, James forces us to ask a difficult question: is that faith alive at all?
Listen to “Don’t Tell Me, Show Me” and discover why genuine faith is not simply professed—it is demonstrated.

The Mark of Fellowship (1 John 1:1–4) // The Marks of Maturity
2026/09/09
In this opening lesson of the WordAlive Bible Study series, “The Marks of Maturity,” Senior Pastor James D. Gailliard begins an in-depth study of 1, 2, and 3 John with “The Mark of Fellowship” from 1 John 1:1–4.
Spiritual maturity is not automatic. It is demonstrated in our ability to explain what we believe, experience the One we believe in, and live that faith in relationship with others.
In this message, Pastor Gailliard explores three dimensions of biblical fellowship:
• Fellowship in the Faith — understanding Jesus as the eternal, material, central, and personal foundation of our faith.
• Fellowship with the Father — recognizing that true fellowship is vertical before it is social and is made possible through the Son.
• Fellowship in the Family — discovering how Christian community shares, sharpens, and sustains us.
Mature faith is more than growing older in church. It is a life deeply connected to Christ, the Father, and the family of believers.

2026/08/02
In a world where everybody is talking but nobody is thinking, how do we separate truth from noise? In the opening message of Wisdom for Every Generation, Pastor James D. Gailliard examines Proverbs 1:7 and explains why wisdom begins with reverence for God—not research, algorithms, opinions, or social media.
Discover how biblical wisdom strengthens discernment, resists reactionary culture, and moves us toward meaningful action in our churches and communities. Before you post, forward, debate, or choose a side, learn to pause, pray, verify, and seek God’s direction.
Wisdom requires reverence. Wisdom resists reaction. Wisdom releases action.
