Solo episode with a very brief BT Epic course preview

May 1-3 is round one of Downhill Midwest, at Shepherd Mountain Bike Park in Ironton, Mo. Tradtional-format DH is here! Klint sits down in-person with race promoter Alex Anderson to talk about the event and series.

DISCOUNT CODE: OKAYESTMTB for 15% your entry! The boys welcome Jamie Cathey (Event Director) and Kevin Tucker (Race Director) to the pod to talk about a 4-day race coming to Bentonville this Memorial Day weekend.

Numb, sore, generally uncomfortable on the bike. It could be your saddle, and good luck learning what would work for you from the Internet. Until now! Klint has been on a journey trying all kinds of saddles and learning what really works and doesn't so you don't have to.

Relive the wonderful nightmare that was the 2025 BT Epic. What went right? What went wrong? Turns out, there is a limit to how much rain the Ozark Trail can handle!

Ryan isn't racing but Klint will be your hero. If you have never raced the BT Epic, this will tell you everything you need to know and a lot that you don't need to know about the course!

Taking your kid down the mostly-whole Enchilada

You're probably missing the point when it comes to these tires.

After a very wet spring with little riding worth talking about, we talk a little life, a little moto and then our MTB stories we are ashamed of.

In April of 2020, we put together the definitive list by which one can determine one's "broness." We have made adjustments and recalculated. We apologize for Klint's audio going wonky later in the podcast. We are trying to sort out why that happens.

Turns out, suspension designers want you to use the compression damping. Klint is mad about it. Also, when did bikes become good and what do you want for Christmas?

Chloe Harisberger (top youth girl finisher), Breanna Goff (Women's Pro Winner) and Cade Pummill (2nd in Men's Pro) come on to talk about their BT Experience, Collegiate Cycling, going fast etc. This was a really fun one to record. We even left in some nonsense at the beginning! If you want to donate to Chloe's cause, find her dad on Instagram and shoot him a message. @harisbergerexplore !

In this episode, Ryan and Klint recap what went right/wrong at the 2024 BT Epic, although somehow we talk about Kyle for the first 10 minutes. Anyway, shoutout to Jeremy Runge for giving Klint some extra water when he really needed it. We call this cover photo "Disappointment"

What's the trail like? Where's the water?

You're going to hate some of Klint's takes in this one as he defies the current trends. Less electrolytes have resulted in less cramping, he wants to run a narrower front tire for XC and he swears that SRAM Transmission helped him place higher than he otherwise would have.
