The 3 Mindsets That Will Transform Your Faith (Most Christians Ignore This)
2026/04/22
📝 The 3 Mindsets That Will Transform Your Faith (Most Christians Ignore This) What if your spiritual growth isn't about trying harder… but thinking differently? In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob breaks down three powerful identities every serious disciple must embrace: 👉 Soldier. Athlete. Farmer. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:3–7, Rob explains how these aren't just metaphors—they're expectations for anyone who wants to live a no-regrets life and truly make an impact. Each identity reveals a critical mindset: The soldier teaches focused obedience The athlete teaches disciplined integrity The farmer teaches patient endurance Through personal stories—including his early days planting a church while working in real estate—Rob shares what it really takes to stay focused, disciplined, and faithful when results don't come quickly. If you've ever felt distracted, inconsistent, or impatient in your faith, this episode will challenge you to reset your mindset and refocus your life. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why distraction is one of the biggest threats to your faith How to develop real spiritual discipline (even when no one is watching) The importance of consistency over motivation Why results in your faith often take time to appear How to stay committed when life feels uncertain The mindset required to become a multiplying, impactful Christian 📖 Key Scripture 2 Timothy 2:3–7 "Join with me in suffering… like a good soldier of Christ Jesus…" 💥 Key Takeaway You don't drift into spiritual growth… 👉 You train, focus, and endure for it. When you think like a soldier, live like an athlete, and work like a farmer—your faith begins to transform. 🙌 Challenge Ask yourself: Where am I distracted like a civilian? Where am I undisciplined like an untrained athlete? Where am I impatient like a farmer ready to quit? What If You Get to Heaven… and Can't Get In?
2026/04/20
📝 What If You Get to Heaven… and Can't Get In? What if you showed up at Heaven's gate… and were turned away? It's a sobering question—but one that every person needs to consider. In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob shares a powerful personal story from his time living in Japan—when he was denied boarding on a flight because he didn't have the right visa. No matter how much he reasoned, explained, or hoped… 👉 Without the right documentation, he wasn't getting on that plane. And that moment became a lasting spiritual lesson. Because when it comes to eternity, there are no workarounds. Drawing from Acts 4:12 and the words of Jesus in John 14:6, this episode explores the reality that salvation is not flexible—and why a genuine relationship with Jesus is essential. In a world that increasingly believes "all paths lead to God," this message brings clarity, conviction, and urgency. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why salvation isn't based on good intentions The danger of slowly "widening the road" in your faith What the Bible actually teaches about Jesus being the only way How culture subtly reshapes our convictions over time Why people don't just need spirituality—they need Christ How to make sure you and those you love are truly ready 📖 Key Scriptures Acts 4:12 "There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life…" 💥 Key Takeaway Heaven has no shortcuts. 👉 You either have a relationship with Jesus… or you don't. And this truth should both deepen your conviction and increase your urgency to help others. 🙌 Challenge Ask yourself: Is my life truly built on Jesus? Have I softened or compromised what I believe? Who in my life needs to hear the truth about salvation? Then take one step this week to strengthen your conviction—and share your faith with someone who needs it. 🔗 Next Steps 📩 Sign up for Rob's weekly newsletter: https://RobSkinner.com 📘 Get The 10X Christian: Available on Amazon or RobSkinner.com 🙏 Support the Podcast If this episode challenged or encouraged you: Share it with someone you care about Leave a review Subscribe for more faith-building content

The Hardest Battle You'll Ever Fight (And Why It Matters Most)
2026/04/15
📝 The Hardest Battle You'll Ever Fight (And Why It Matters Most) The fiercest battle you'll ever face isn't external… 👉 It's internal. In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob dives into one of the most important—and often overlooked—truths of the Christian life: The battle to conquer yourself. Sharing a powerful personal story from his early days as a Christian, Rob describes a defining moment of temptation that forced him to choose between his old life and the new life God was calling him to. It was simple. But it wasn't easy. Drawing from Galatians 5:16–17 and a timeless quote from The Imitation of Christ, this episode unpacks why self-mastery is the foundation of spiritual growth—and why no external success can replace a life of character and integrity. If you've ever struggled with temptation, inconsistency, or feeling pulled in two directions, this message will challenge you to step up and fight the battle that matters most. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why the hardest battle you face is within yourself How small decisions shape your spiritual identity What it really means to "walk by the Spirit" Why character matters more than success or achievement How to recognize moments of spiritual testing The power of decisive action in overcoming temptation 📖 Key Scriptures Galatians 5:16–17 "Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh…" 💥 Key Takeaway Your greatest victory is not what you achieve… 👉 It's who you become. Every time you choose obedience over impulse, you are winning the battle that shapes your future. 🙌 Challenge Ask yourself: Where am I being tested right now? What door do I need to close—completely? Then take one decisive step today to strengthen your character and walk in alignment with God. 🔗 Next Steps 📩 Sign up for Rob's weekly newsletter: https://RobSkinner.com 📘 Get The 10X Christian: Available on Amazon or RobSkinner.com 🙏 Support the Podcast If this episode encouraged you: Share it with a friend Leave a review Subscribe for more faith-building content

In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob talks with Braxton and Jinky Kieft about their exciting decision to help plant a new church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After years of ministry experience in places like Guam, Phoenix, and Northwest Indiana, Braxton and Jinky are stepping out in faith once again—this time to build a church from the ground up in one of the fastest-growing cities in the Midwest. They share how God changed their hearts, confirmed the calling, and gave them a vision for a church centered on faith, family, fellowship, food, and fun. A Divided Heart Will Cost You Everything (Don't Miss This)
2026/04/10
📝 A Divided Heart Will Cost You Everything (Don't Miss This) What if the biggest threat to your faith isn't obvious… but subtle? In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob shares a powerful personal story from his teenage years that reveals a timeless spiritual truth: 👉 You cannot give your heart fully to two things at the same time. After finally getting the car he always wanted, Rob slowly lost something far more valuable—because his attention, focus, and heart became divided. And the same thing can happen spiritually. Drawing from Psalm 86:11 and Matthew 6:24, this episode dives into why a divided heart creates tension, steals your peace, and ultimately causes you to lose what matters most. If you've ever felt pulled in different directions—between faith and comfort, purpose and distraction—this message will challenge you to take a hard, honest look at your heart. Because in the end… 👉 You don't get to keep both. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why a divided heart quietly leads to spiritual loss The real reason you feel tension, frustration, or lack of peace How to diagnose what truly has your heart Why you can't serve two masters (and what that actually means) The connection between your thoughts, desires, and priorities How to pray and live with an undivided, wholehearted devotion to God 📖 Key Scriptures Psalm 86:11 "Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name." Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters…" 💥 Key Takeaway A divided heart leads to a divided life. And a divided life leads to regret. You may think you can hold onto everything—but eventually, something will give. 👉 And often, it's the thing that mattered most. 🙌 Challenge Ask yourself: What do I think about when my mind is free? What excites me the most right now? What might be competing with God for my heart? Then take one step to remove whatever is dividing your devotion. 🔗 Next Steps 📩 Sign up for Rob's weekly newsletter: https://RobSkinner.com 📘 Get The 10X Christian: Available on Amazon or RobSkinner.com 🙏 Support the Podcast If this episode helped you: Share it with someone who needs it Leave a review Subscribe for more faith-building content
The Hidden Reason You Feel Spiritually Weak (Check Your "Fuel")
2026/04/08
📝 The Hidden Reason You Feel Spiritually Weak (Check Your "Fuel") What you put into your life determines what comes out of it. In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob shares a powerful and memorable lesson using a real-life story of a high-performance car that completely broke down—not because it lacked power, but because it was filled with the wrong fuel. The same is true spiritually. You can have passion, potential, and purpose—but if you're running on the wrong inputs, your spiritual life will eventually stall. Drawing from 1 Timothy 1:5, Rob explains how real, Christ-like love is produced—and why so many Christians struggle to sustain it. This episode challenges you to take a hard look at what you're allowing into your heart, mind, and daily habits. Because when you change the fuel… you change the outcome. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why spiritual burnout often starts with what you consume The three sources of genuine, Christ-like love How a "polluted" heart quietly weakens your faith The connection between your conscience and your spiritual power Why sincere faith—not performance—is the key to transformation How media, culture, and habits can subtly shape your spiritual life 📖 Key Scripture 1 Timothy 1:5 "The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith." 💥 Key Takeaway You can't produce godly love if you're running on polluted fuel. What you consistently take in—through media, conversations, and habits—will shape who you become. If you want to grow spiritually, don't just try harder… 👉 Change what you're feeding your heart. 🙌 Challenge Take a moment today and ask yourself: What am I feeding my heart daily? What needs to be removed? What needs to be replaced? Then take one step to clear out the wrong fuel and replace it with something that strengthens your faith.

2026/04/06
God Is Moving in Barbados: Baptisms, Breakthroughs, and Bold Faith with Dwayne Blai What happens when a church begins to pray boldly—and God starts answering in real time? In this powerful missionary update, Dwayne Blai shares what God is doing right now in Bridgetown, Barbados—and it's nothing short of remarkable. From unexpected financial provision across the globe… to multiple baptisms led by rising disciples… to answered prayers for leadership, growth, and even healing in his own family—this is a story of momentum, faith, and God "showing off." The church isn't just growing—it's coming alive.  What God Is Doing Right Now  Unexpected Provision A disciple in Australia gave $3,000 USD to support international missions—fueling the training of two campus ministry leaders. Even more support has been pledged, opening the door for extended training and future leaders.  The mission is gaining real traction.  5 Baptisms in One Month Five people were baptized this month—four in just one week. Even more powerful? Dwayne and Tsega didn't lead most of the studies.  Disciples are stepping up.  The church is multiplying itself.  A Future Leader Emerges After persistent prayer for a strong female campus leader, God answered. A young woman made the courageous decision to follow Christ—despite opposition from her entire family. She is: Brave Humble Outward-focused Hungry to grow And she's already being personally discipled by Tsega.  Leadership is being raised from within.  Young Professionals Are Coming The church has been praying for committed young professionals—men with stability, transportation, and a heart to give. Now? There are more men to study with than time allows.  A new wave is forming.  Explosive Demographic Growth One long-term goal:  20% of the church under age 40 by 2028 Current reality?  Almost 25% already.  The future is arriving faster than expected.  A Personal Miracle Dwayne's youngest son had been suffering from severe migraines—so intense he couldn't function normally. After a large group prayed… Within days, everything changed.  He's now waking up, going to school, and living normally again. No explanation. Just God.  Key Takeaway When a church prays boldly, steps out in faith, and invests in people… God moves. God provides. God transforms. 2026/04/03
📝 Why You Feel Out of Place (It Might Mean You're Doing It Right) In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob explores a powerful truth that many Christians experience but don't always understand: 👉 What if feeling out of place is actually a sign you're living the right way? Drawing from his personal experience of living in Japan for 10 years—where he constantly felt like an outsider—Rob shares how that feeling revealed a deeper spiritual reality: as followers of Christ, we were never meant to fully blend into this world. Using 1 Peter 1:17, this episode challenges you to rethink what it means to live with purpose, conviction, and eternal perspective. If you've ever felt different, disconnected, or like you don't quite belong… this message will help you see that tension as a sign of faith—not failure. 🔑 Key Takeaways Feeling out of place can be evidence of living with conviction Your true citizenship is in heaven—not this world Christians are called to live differently, not blend in Tension with culture is a signal, not a problem Your habits, values, and decisions should reflect your eternal destination 📖 Scripture Mentioned 1 Peter 1:17 "Live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear." 🙌 Next Steps 📩 Sign up for Rob's weekly newsletter: 👉 https://RobSkinner.com 📘 Get The 10X Christian: 👉 Available on Amazon ⭐ If this episode encouraged you, leave a review and share it with a friend!

Keep Your Heart on Course: The Hidden Drift That Weakens Your Faith
2026/03/27
Keep Your Heart on Course: The Hidden Drift That Weakens Your Faith How do you stay faithful—not just for a season, but for a lifetime? In this episode of the Rob Skinner Podcast, Rob dives into a powerful truth from Proverbs 23: "Keep your heart on the right course." The greatest challenge in the Christian life isn't starting strong—it's staying strong. Over time, many believers don't walk away from God… they simply drift. A little less focus. A little more comfort. A slow shift in direction. And before long, their passion fades. In this episode, Rob unpacks three common areas where drift begins—food, drink, and rest—and explains how even good things can quietly pull your heart off course if left unchecked. This is not about legalism. It's about direction, discipline, and staying spiritually sharp. 🔑 In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why the Christian life is a marathon, not a sprint The difference between freedom and lack of discipline What the Bible really teaches about moderation vs. extremes How small habits can lead to spiritual drift over time The warning Jesus gives about becoming spiritually careless How to realign your heart and stay faithful, alert, and fruitful ⚠️ The Big Warning: Most people don't fall away suddenly—they drift slowly. 📖 Scriptures Referenced: Proverbs 23:19–21 – Keep your heart on the right course Matthew 24:48–51 – The danger of becoming careless 1 Timothy 4 – Receiving God's gifts with gratitude Biblical principle: "Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial" 💡 Key Takeaway: It's not about what's allowed—it's about where your life is heading. 🙏 Practical Challenge: Ask yourself today: Are my habits strengthening or dulling my faith? Have comfort and convenience replaced conviction? Am I still on the right course? If not—realign now. 🔗 Resources & Next Steps: 📩 Sign up for Rob's weekly newsletter. 📘 Get the book: The 10X Christian 🌐 Visit: https://robskinner.com 🎯 Final Thought: Enjoy God's gifts… but don't let them master you. 3Who Are You Becoming? (Part 3): The Power of Focus That Transforms Your Life
2026/03/20
Who Are You Becoming? (Part 3): The Power of Focus That Transforms Your Life What if the most important question in your life isn't what you're doing… but who you're becoming? In this final episode of his 3-part series on the power of focus, Rob Skinner shares a powerful message from a recent sermon in Boston about how your attention shapes your character—and ultimately your life. Most people focus on external things: Career Money Success Future plans But the Bible calls us to ask a deeper question: Who am I becoming? In 2 Corinthians 3, the Apostle Paul teaches that as we contemplate the Lord, we are transformed into His image. That word "contemplate" means to gaze, reflect, and give sustained attention. In other words: You become what you focus on. The Transformation Process When you fix your attention on Jesus, something powerful happens. His character begins to form in you: • Love • Joy • Peace • Patience • Kindness • Goodness • Faithfulness • Gentleness • Self-control (Galatians 5:22–23) This is the goal of the Christian life—not just to believe in Jesus, but to become like Him. The Michelangelo Illustration Rob shares a powerful illustration from Michelangelo. When asked how he created the statue of David, Michelangelo said: "I simply chipped away everything that was not David." That's exactly what Jesus does in our lives. As we focus on Him, He begins to chip away: • Pride • Fear • Selfishness • Sin Until Christ is formed in us. Christ-Focused Reading Rob shares a practical habit to help you grow: Christ-focused reading Spend time slowly reading and reflecting on passages that reveal the character of God and Jesus, such as: • Exodus 34:6–7 – God's compassion and grace • Romans 5 – God's love demonstrated through Christ • Ephesians 1 – Your identity and blessings in Christ • Philippians 2 – The humility of Jesus • Colossians 1 – The supremacy of Christ • Romans 8 – Life in the Spirit Don't rush. Read slowly. Reflect deeply. Repeat often. Because transformation happens through consistent exposure to truth. Your Life Follows Your Focus We live in a world where everything is competing for your attention. But you have a choice: You choose your focus. And when your focus changes, your life begins to change. So today, ask yourself: Where are my eyes going? Then gently bring them back to Jesus.
