S4 Episode 2: Bre and Alicia (learning to let go!)
2021/09/26
Join me and Bre as we have a candid conversation about learning to let go. It can be really difficult to let go and step into the unknown, we often stay in jobs, friendships, and intimate relationships longer than we need to because of the fear about what is to come or what we are leaving behind. Bre and I discuss things that we've found useful in determining when to move on from something, particularly intimate relationships! In reality, the road is never easy, but we're both committed to our growth and becoming our highest selves, and a key part of this is shedding what no longer serves us.
S4 Episode 1: Devanshi @womenwonders_ (sexual health, STIs, and myth busting!)
2021/09/11
Join Devanshi, Bre and me for the first episode of Season 4! It's been a hot minute and it is so exciting to be releasing the 4th season. In this episode, Devanshi, who is a post-grad med student focusing on sexual health and obstetrics, talks to us about her journey to becoming a Dr. as a Southeast Asian woman, and why she is so passionate about sexual health and wellness. She helps to bust some harmful sexual health and contraception myths, and delves into STI screening, what it entails and why it is so important. This was a fascinating conversation and it was so wonderful to be able to have Devanshi unpack some of the often difficult to understand sexual health space!

S3 Episode 8: Richie Hardcore (social advocacy, healthy masculinity, and online spaces)
2021/05/30
Richie Hardcore is an educator, a keynote speaker and activist working in violence prevention, masculinities, mental health, and wellness. He's also a retired multiple New Zealand muay thai champion.
Join us as we discuss Richie’s changing relationship with social media and how each of us has a role to play off screen and in society. Notably we talk about the validation many of us get for calling out people online and the importance of systemic vs individual change. Richie shares some of his story about growing up in an abusive household and how having a shared experience with others has helped him to create spaces where hurt men who might be on the pathway to violence are able to open up and get help. He speaks to thousands of young men around the country about healthy masculinity, relationships and porn. And he opens up about why healthy masculinity is important call in rhetoric compared to toxic masculinity, which alienates those we want to change.

S3 Episode 3: Tash @talkpeach (gynaecological health, ovarian cancer, and starting a movement)
2021/04/24
This week I am so honoured to have Tash Crosby, the founder of Talk Peach Gynaecological Cancer Foundation, as a guest. Tash is a powerhouse. As a survivor of ovarian and uterine cancer, she realised there was an urgent need for awareness-raising and education of gynaecological cancers (of which there are 5!).
In 2019, she launched Talk Peach whose goal is to:
"upskill the public and health professionals, as well as to
empower women to take ownership of their gynaecological health" and their message is snowballing across Aotearoa.
Tash discusses the importance of people knowing about gynaecological cancers and what to look out for. She also talks about what it has been like to start a foundation that quickly gained traction, how she is so passionate about the work she is doing, and her hopes for the future.
Tash is passionate, tenacious, and dedicated and this conversation shed so much light on how all of us need to listen to our bodies more, how we need to be aware of our gynaecological health, and how this is a community-wide responsibility!

2021/04/21
Join me for a ;Midweek Insights with Alicia Fay' episode, where I provide insights on a particular topic. This week I discuss relationship glow ups. I talk about the importance of reflecting on and recognising the growth we have gone through in and between our relationships. I discuss my romantic relationship glow up over the last 15 years, and reflect on key relationships and how they impacted me. I can now say that I am in a relationship which is mutually respectful and loving, however, the road to get here was not so well paved, and I know that I still have such a way to go. That's the beauty of the adventure called life.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

2021/04/10
