Ep. 144: Cryptids, Ghost Hunting, and Haunted Houses
2026/10/01
Join Stefanie and Rachel A. as they talk about their favorite cryptids, ghost hunting, and the many benefits of visiting haunted houses - even for kiddos. Also, come walk our Spooky Trail at Bartholomew County Public Library's annual Fall Festival held this year at our Downtown location! Here's the link to the ghost hunting video Rachel and I talked about recording back in 2020: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3lsoehV_K0 The podcast recording where Rachel talks in more detail about the haunting experiences she's had: https://mybcpl.libsyn.com/ep-131-columbus-hauntings This is the link to "Haunting Mysteries at the Bartholomew County Library: Paranormal Encounters and a Mysterious Grave" by Evel Ogilville. Please note, getting more than a basic introduction to this requires a subscription (which has nothing to do with BCPL), or a 7-day free trial. This took place in 2024, and I'm not sure exactly what was filmed or what conclusions were drawn from this. https://www.paraholics.com/p/haunting-mysteries-at-the-bartholomew?utm_source=publication-search Finally, the totally legit picture I took of the Loch Ness Monster!

We're interested in your thoughts on this. Do you agree with our assessment? July 2nd is World UFO Day! Do aliens exist? What do you think? Join Annemarie, Tessa, Les, Liz, Ollie, and me as we talk about our thoughts on aliens. Maybe one of us has a personal experience? We talk shows, podcasts, and other media and question if Octopuses are aliens. We would LOVE to hear your opinions on this! You can email us at [email protected] to share your thoughts. April is full of fun things: April Fool's Day, National Poetry Month, National Library Week, National Gardening Month, and our annual Library After Dark fundraiser.
