What else is there to do 4 days before the 2026 IFMAR 1/8 Offroad Worlds kicks off than record an event preview? This is the audio version of our full written preview - you can find that over on the Action R/C facebook page. Listen here, read there, get in the comments and tell me all the things I got wrong. Or otherwise, buckle in for the race of the year. Thornhill is here, bring it on! #ifmar #rcracing #rccars

It's two weeks until cars hit dirt at Thornhill, and time for episode three of our short-run series Down Under to the Worlds. On this episode, we welcome New Zealand's fastest, Dylan Toia, plus his brother Logan, plus Jayden Jamieson. For Dylan and Logan its a first 1/8 Words, while Jayden Jamieson lines up for #3. Catch the guys talk about the preparation, hopes, predictions and insights into both this event and the NZ scene. #ifmar #rccars #rcracing #actionrc

Its our second episode chatting with Down Under racers heading to the IFMAR 1/8 Offroad Worlds. Today it's a little different as we recorded live in a hotel room in Jakarta after the conclusion of the Asian Buggy Champs race here, and the interference of a little volcano prevented out trip home. The context will help make sense of the chat! Today it's Christian and Martin Wolhuter, and Peter Seckold joining the chat. Enjoy! #ifmar #actionrc #podcast #rcracing #rccars

We're checking in with a bunch of Aussie and Kiwi drivers ahead of this year's IFMAR 1/8 Offroad Worlds in the US. In this first episode, Scott is joined by Ben Sterling, Gavin White, Andrew Gillott and Josh Pain to look back on past experiences and make some predictions about this year's event. Enjoy! #ifmar #rccars #rcracing

A few days late but finally home and caught up! Here's our final daily pod from Lap Paradise, including a few reflections on the finals day, and the event as a whole.

Australia's Jarod Ment and Peter Seckold join me to break down a fun Saturday trackside, first day of Mains, or "Eric Samuel Day" as I think of it. Remember this is our first crack at a Daily Pod for a major race. Feedback and suggestions welcome!

Friday, what a day! A very full day as we crammed quali in and somehow dodged the thunderstorms that surrounded Lap Paradise RC Raceway. That meant I ran out of time to record yesterday, so just a quick reflection trackside Saturday morning to update on Friday's key points.

Seeding day, rain interruptions, making speed differently. It's a quick reflection on Thursday's seeding rounds at Lap Paradise RC.

It's an experiment, recording a daily podcast trackside here at the second round of the Asian Buggy Championships. It's raw and unedited, and you can hear the noise of leaf blowers and a brewing thunderstorm in the background. Still it's an interesting chat with Caleb Noble, casting an eye over a few days of open practice, ahead of tomorrow's official start to the event. Stick with us, and we will try to improve audio quality over the next few days. Full live coverage starts Friday at RC Race Media and Scotty Ernst channels.

Managing a world-championship-winning machine, like Team Associated, is no mean feat. The man with the responsibility is Brent Thielke, and Brent joined me for in the commentary booth during 4WD practice at the 1/10th Offroad IFMAR Worlds at Hills Offroad RC in Sydney. We chatted about the event itself, what it takes to manage the team, working with new EP Buggy and now 4WD World Champ Marcus Kaerup, and plenty more. Big thanks to Brent for the chat, RC Race Media for the Audio, and Red RC for the episode thumbnail. Enjoy!

Just a couple of days after winning the 2025 IFMAR 2wd World Championship, Schumacher's Broc Champlin jumped into the Hybrid Landscapes commentary booth with me as 4wd practice got underway. We talked about the win, the team, his history, the emotions, and more. Big thanks to RC Race Media for the audio used in this podcast. We chatted live right by the track, and you'll hear the sounds of 4wd practice going in the background. Episode cover photo from Red RC. I hope you enjoy this chat with the newly crowned World Champion.

Brief reflections from this week's memorable IFMAR 10TH Offroad World Championships hosted by Hills Off-road RC in Sydney, Australia. Raw audio recorded from the road trip home. Enjoy!

Recorded live from the road on the drive to Sydney, we take a look at everything ahead of us at Hills Off-road RC this week for the IFMAR 1/10 Off-road World Championships. The audio here is straight from the phone in an experimental "on the road" format. Enjoy!

Australia's Lachlan Donnelly has marked himself as one to watch at the 2025 IFMAR Worlds, sweeping both classes at the Warmup back in April. The local 21-year old Team Associated driver will go up against the world's best from late September at Hills Offroad RC. Lachlan joined Mitchell Pratt and I for a chat about all things leading toward the World Championships. Watch the full show on Facebook or YouTube by searching for MItch on the Mic. Big thanks to Mitch for the audio used here.

We caught up with Team Cayote co-founder Oscar Jansen during the 2025 Worlds Warmup at Hills Offroad in Sydney, Australia. Oscar is a fascinating, thoughtful character, and he's been around our industry for a long time. We chatted about some of his own history, the Cayote project, and how he thinks the 2025 IFMAR Worlds will shake up. Big thanks to RC Race Media for the audio in this episode.
