What is important when starting a business? Where should you put your focus? This week Sheliea Collins stepped into The Garden to talk about her current journey into entrepreneurship. She is brand new to owning a business and has not even launched yet.  On social media, it LOOKS like people start a business and they are automatically successful... That is a setup for disappointment. This week we are giving you a looking into the excitement, fear, and confusion of starting a business. Sheliea shares what has helped her with clarity on this journey and the mistakes that she has already made.   She explains how her past 9-5 and volunteer work now makes an impact on the business she is building now. Sheliea Collins is a  wife, mother, developmental consultant,  and entrepreneur. Her recent work includes increasing enrollment by eighty percent at a thriving Vocational School in Woodland Hills, California. Not only did she assist the school in gaining new students but, also helped those students gain employment, going above and beyond to keep the schools placement rate at one hundred percent.  Wrapped In Silk is in the planning process and will be launched in March 2023.   

I have watched this amazing woman evolve on social media. We both grew on South Carolina and we went to high school together. I was a football trainer and her boyfriend who’s her husband now was on the football team too. Nia Wiley is a married mom of 3, with an agenda to empower both women and families to live a life they’re proud of. In November 2021, she and her family essentially sold most of their possessions and purchased a fifth wheel with plans to see the 50 states. She traded in a full-time nurse practitioner career for the unknown. And while unconventional and definitely different, she doesn’t regret a thing.
