Description

Zac and Ashley bring their heart and their wit to the table as they discuss what makes families tick. Drawing from their experience pastoring and counseling, along with what goes on in their own house, the two tackle everything from the most common issues in marriage, to the nuances of modern dating, to stewarding the next generation while honoring the last one. With the the conviction that God has surrounded each of us with vast resources in the form of people, Zac and Ashley interview families and individuals from their church and community who's life experiences reflect triumph in the topic of the day. All this with the confidence that our Heavenly Father is the original Architect of the family, and with Him we can strengthen, renovate, and rebuild our homes if aligned and empowered by His Spirit and His Word.

Special Report: Israel Trip Recap
2026/01/02
This is not your standard "Our House" episode. Back on November 30, 2025 - Pastor Zac announced that some of the HPC staff had recieved an invitation to be part of a Pastoral Summit in Israel, joining close to 1000 other church leaders from around the US, for a week-long intensive of meetings and services with the purpose of giving an unfiltered view of what is happening in the nation of Israel. On Sunday, December 28, 2025, Pastors Zac & Ashley Lenz, Pastors John & Kim Gagne, Pastor Will Saint-Ilme, and Pastor Mike O'Brien spoke about their experience.
Where Everybody Knows Your Name
2025/11/21
Pastors Zac and Ashely discuss the importance of community in a church, especially larger churches, and the important role that "small groups" play in the lives of those who are part of one.   There's also a brief discussion of how this time of year gets busy and evidently there are a couple of bodies in the freezer somewhere at the Lenz home or something... You'll figure it out! Enjoy!   Topic Ideas: [email protected]
God Told Me To Tell You To Listen To This Podcast
2025/11/14
Sorry about last week... the episode got caught up in a whole thing of non-sense and what not... BUT this week is a great one (aren't they all, though?) -Pastors Zac and Ashley dive into what some may consider to be nuance, but for others can be a bit tricky: What is taking the Lord's name in vain? - AND - They also talk about commitment! Topic Suggestions: [email protected]
First Jobs, First Fruits, and Storing Like a...Flying Squirrel?
2025/10/31
The adventures of the many flying-squirrels continue and as the oldest Lenz child is getting close to driving age, now comes the choices of getting a job, paying for insurance and gas, buying a car - all those fun things!  Pastors Zac and Ashley discuss some of thier early employment ventures and it seamlessly transitions into financially preparing for the holidays, because in just a few short weeks we'll all be decking the halls!  Topic Ideas:  [email protected]
Sounds in the Attic or Church Brands: Which is Scarier?
2025/10/24
What happens when you buy a house that was built pre-1800?  You get the wildest noises caused by critters unknown! Also - Who needs a church sign anyway? Topic Suggestions: [email protected]
Churches Have Personality Types Too
2025/10/17
For those scoring at home: 500,000 Feet is equivalent to approx 95 miles. This fact will only be helpful to a few of you who, like our producer, fixate on the most odd and random things at times... ANYWHO - Pastors Zac and Ashley talk about a recent discussion they've been having with church leadership and others about the "Personality" of His Providence Church, and how that impacts both those who attend, and those who may feel like it's time to make a change. Topic Suggestions: [email protected]
You Can Bring Home the Bacon, But I'm Not Gonna Eat It
2025/10/10
Pastors Zac and Ashley have made some recent changes to thier diet, working to cut out the toxins and shift towards cleaner eating, applying some biblical principals to the plate.  Linked below are some of the resources they mention in the episode. Bon Appétit! Dr. Josh Axe Podcast: Biblio Diet  "The Biblio Diet" Book on Amazon

2025/09/26
Maybe... but that should be the least of your worries.  Pastors Zac and Ashley discuss the response to recent events and the immediate affects on church as we know it, as well as growth in general.  It's not as heavy as last week's episode. Topic Suggestions: [email protected]
Gun Control and Modern Martyrdom
2025/09/19

It's Finn's House Too...
2025/06/20
Don't be fooled; today's guest Finn Z. Lenz is the same person you hear in the intro... Yes, That Finn! Was our producer tempted to throw a filter on his voice to match the way he sounded over 5 years ago when we first recorded the intro? Perhaps!  Pastor Zac and his oldest son, Finn chat about the past year at King's Academy, the upcoming summer including a "RHODE TRIP" https://www.rhodetrip.com/  Topic Ideas: [email protected]
An Interview With the New Owners of Soulfest
2025/06/13
Frank Tate and Bev Abbonizio share thier story with Pastors Zac and Ashley about how they became the leaders of the popular Christain summer music festival "Soulfest" and how their life-time of experience has guided them to adjust the way attendees experience this 'Family Reunion". Conversations with Teenagers: Intentionally Unintentional
2025/06/06
In 1992 Jamie Walters asked the question; "How Do You Talk To An Angel" via a single which was cleverly used as the intro to the tv series: "The Heights".  Today, Pastors Zac and Ashley answer a similar question: 'How do you talk to your teenager?'.  There's a lot of differences from 1992 to today... for example; nobody has a beeper these days. Remember Beepers?  How you just felt better getting a "143" from your crush, or how your heart started pounding in your chest if one of your parents beeped you with your home phone number followed by "911". Those were the days. Anywho - enjoy this episode and Congratulations to all those graduating High School and/or college! Topic Ideas: [email protected]
Romance is More Than Roses
2025/05/23
André Lauren Benjamin, better known by his stage name André 3000, once said that "Roses really smell like Poo-Poo-Ooh"... and while he had a propensity to 'run out of sugar', forcing him to ask his neighbors if he could borrow some; this modern-day philosopher was right on the money when it came to the fruit of this expensive, thorny flower... Thusly Pastors Zac and Ashley discuss the finer tenets of Romance... and I beg you to recognize the plurality of the word "tenets". Topic Ideas: [email protected]
Artificial Unintelligence and Unofficial Calls to Ministry
2025/05/09
New Pope, Who Dis? Pastors Zac and Ashley aren't taking a week off just because a temporary chimney in Italy puffed out some white smoke and now a guy from Chicago is gonna ride around in a bubble car... NO... They're talking about YOUR call to ministry! Topic Suggestions: [email protected]
