What does the construction and design industry really expect you to know when you graduate?
In this special episode of the DCMS Podcast, we revisit conversations from our archives with construction educator Leon Rogers, VDC professional and faculty member Jeff McCabe, and BYU-Idaho University Architect David Gay. Across different generations and career paths, all three share a remarkably similar message: you don’t need to enter the industry knowing everything—you need to know how to learn.
Hear their perspectives on asking good questions, finding mentors, respecting the expertise of others, staying curious, and developing confidence without arrogance.
Whether you're preparing for an internship, starting your first job, or continuing to grow in your career, remember: your education doesn't end when you graduate. In many ways, that's when it begins.
