7 Planets In Aries: hang on to your hat! | S2 EP 167
2026/04/18
The astrology this week is pretty full on. We’ve got some intense and unusual alignments, including Mars meeting Saturn, plus a huge pile-up of planets in Aries. So yes, the energy can feel exhausting. There can be pressure. There can be moments where you’re pushed right up against your limits. But here’s the thing. This is also powerful, activating energy. It’s the kind of sky that asks you to get real about what you’re carrying, especially emotionally. If there’s something you need to forgive, now’s the time to start loosening your grip on it. Because as intense as it is, this week isn’t here to break you. It’s here to move you forward. And if you lean into it, there’s real potential here for healing, for turning a corner… and even for opening your heart in ways you didn’t expect. Takeaways Intense planetary alignments bring challenges and exhaustion.Forgiveness and positive change are possible amidst the intensity. Come and join me at my USA workshop! Why You’re Suddenly Mad as Hell: Surviving Mars in Aries This week we're talking about the red elephant in the room - Mars in Aries. Yes, it's a bit (a lot) war-like and yes it's kind of a worry to have this once-e-very-two-years transit taking place at a time when all the world leaders are sabre-rattling ... but what else can it mean and is there the chance of a positive spin? The Full Moon asks: Are you giving too much? | S2 EP 164
2026/03/28
This Week’s Astrology: Full Moon in Libra + Venus Meets Pluto This is one of those weeks where emotions peak… and the truth comes out. If something’s been building in one of your key relationships, this could be the moment it reveals itself. We’re heading towards a powerful Full Moon in Libra, the sign of partnerships, balance and fairness, and it’s being activated by some intense energy. Full Moon in Libra: Relationship Truths Full Moons bring things to a head. They illuminate what’s been hidden and ask us to release what’s no longer working. With this Full Moon in Libra, the focus is firmly on your one-to-one relationships. That could be romantic, business or even friendships. Ask yourself: Where am I giving too much?Where am I accepting too little? What feels out of balance? If a relationship is strong, this energy can deepen it. If something’s off, it’s likely to become very obvious. Venus Square Pluto: Intensity, Power and Truth This Full Moon comes with a twist. Venus, the planet of love and money, is clashing with Pluto. This can bring: power strugglesemotional intensityburied truths rising to the surfaceissues around control, obsession or self-worth If something has been simmering beneath the surface, this is when you may finally see it clearly. Venus into Taurus: A Return to What’s Real At the same time, Venus moves into Taurus, one of its home signs. This is a grounding influence. It brings a desire for: stabilitycomfortsensualityreal, lasting love and financial security You may find yourself craving something more solid and meaningful now. Mercury Trine Jupiter: Talk It Through Here’s the good news. Mercury harmonising with Jupiter means communication flows more easily. This is your chance to: say what needs to be saidhave the conversation you’ve been avoidingfind solutions and move forwardEven if things feel intense, there is real potential for breakthroughs. What To Do This Week Notice where your life feels out of balanceLet go of old emotional patterns or relationship dynamicsBe honest with yourself about what’s really going onChoose what feels safe, solid and trueHave the conversation, if you know it’s time Final Thought If something shifts this week, trust it. Try asking: What is this showing me about what I truly want?
Week Ahead Astrology: Lilith & Healing Hearts | S2 EP 163
2026/03/25
Lilith Untamed, healing the feminine, and a powerful week of astrology This week on the Mainly Moonology podcast, Yasmin is joined by astrologer Christina Rodenbeck, also known as the Oxford Astrologer. Together they explore the astrology of the week ahead and dive deep into one of astrology’s most fascinating archetypes: Black Moon Lilith. If you’re feeling intense emotions, powerful insights, or a push to make real changes in your life, the astrology this week may well explain why. The week begins with a beautiful and dreamy combination as Mars harmonises with Jupiter while the Sun meets Neptune. This energy can feel uplifting, imaginative and expansive. It’s ideal for dreaming big, visualising what you want to create and reconnecting with your intuition. Just be mindful of over-indulgence, because Neptune energy can blur boundaries and make everything feel a little bit hazy. Later in the week the tone shifts as the Sun aligns with Saturn before forming a supportive connection with Pluto. This brings the perfect moment to move from dreaming to planning. Saturn helps us get serious, organise our ideas and create a strategy. Pluto then adds the power of transformation, encouraging us to take action and start making real changes. One of the most meaningful moments of the week comes when Venus meets Chiron, the wounded healer. This alignment invites us to look honestly at our relationships, our self-worth and our experiences of love. It can bring old wounds to the surface but also offers a chance for deep healing. In fact, this may be the final Venus-Chiron conjunction in Aries before Chiron leaves the sign, making it a symbolic moment for releasing long-held pain and choosing to move forward with greater self-understanding. The conversation then turns to the larger backdrop of the year: the powerful Saturn–Pluto sextile. These two planets working together can bring real momentum for change. Saturn represents discipline, structure and effort, while Pluto represents deep transformation and the clearing away of what no longer serves. When they cooperate like this, it’s a reminder that meaningful change often comes through commitment and steady work. Finally, Yasmin and Christina explore Black Moon Lilith, the focus of Christina’s new book Lilith Untamed. Lilith is not a physical body but a mathematical point in the Moon’s orbit, often associated with the untamed, wild or rejected aspects of ourselves. Christina describes Lilith as the part of us that refuses to conform, the raw and instinctive side of human nature that may be hidden beneath social conditioning. The message for the week is clear: dream big, make a plan, do the work, and be willing to transform. The Art of the Dark Moon: A Conversation with Artist Lindsay Kokoska | S2 EP 162
2026/03/25
This week on the Mainly Moonology podcast, I’m joined by the incredibly talented artist behind the Dark Moon Oracle Cards, Lindsay Kokoska. If you’ve seen the deck, you’ll know the artwork has touched people deeply. The response has been extraordinary. In this episode, we go behind the scenes and explore what it really takes to bring a mystical deck to life. We talk about what happened when Hay House first approached her to illustrate a deck focused on the Dark Moon and divine feminine archetypes, especially since her personal work tends to focus on oneness, integration and the merging of light and shadow. You’ll hear: How Lindsay approaches creating an oracle card deckWorking with shadow work and Dark Moon energyThe card she found most challenging to illustrateWhy Nyx became one of her favouritesWhat it’s really like to receive feedback from multiple editors and art directorsThe balance between creativity, motherhood and commercial deadlinesHow meditation, walking in nature and stepping away from the canvas are essential parts of her processThe difference between commissions and licensing for artistsWhy she rarely gives faces to the women in her personal artworkHer perspective on oracle cards as a tool for guidance rather than prediction We also talk about astrology, lunar living, the pull of the Dark Moon, and how working on this deck deepened her own understanding of Goddess energy. Lindsay shares insights into: Living between Nova Scotia and MoroccoHow place influences artistic expressionCreating as meditationTrusting intuition over external validationMaking a living as a modern artist If you’ve ever wondered how an oracle deck is actually created, or if you’re an artist yourself dreaming of bringing your own deck into the world, this conversation is full of wisdom and practical insight. The Eclipse, Mushrooms and Chimpanzees | Mainly Moonology Podcast S2 EP 161
2026/03/08
How does the shift into the Age of Air actually affect your birth chart? In this episode of the Mainly Moonology Podcast, Yasmin Boland sits down with Berlin-based astrologer, painter, and jazz musician Alexander Graf von Schlieffen. Alexander shares a groundbreaking, untraditional approach to astrology, breaking the 12 houses into four distinct, unconnected quadrants. We dive deep into the current astrological climate, exploring why eclipses act as cosmic resets, the profound transition from the Earth epoch to the Air epoch, and why the underground mushroom (mycelial) network is the ultimate metaphor for Pluto in Aquarius. If you want to understand the hidden depths of the 12th house and how global power structures are shifting, this is a must-listen cosmic conversation. In this episode, we cover: The True Purpose of Eclipses: Why eclipses act as "fever dreams" to course-correct our paths within the massive 200-year Jupiter-Saturn cycles. A Radical New System for the 12 Houses: Alexander breaks down his unique, non-traditional framework of reading the natal chart in four isolated quadrants. The 10th House vs. The 12th House: Unpacking the "official" reality of society versus the unconscious, hidden truths that shape our world. The Age of Air & The Mycelial Network: Exploring the 200-year transition from top-down Earth energy to the interconnected, collective Air epoch. Pluto in Aquarius: What the shift away from centralized power means for the internet, society, and our collective future. Upcoming Astrological Events: Details on Alexander’s Astrology University workshop and his book, The Kingdom of Air. DEEPAK CHOPRA in the Epstein files. Astrology explains why this is happening now. | MMP S2 E157
2026/02/08
In this conversation, Yasmin Boland discusses the implications of Deepak Chopra's name appearing in the Epstein files and how it reflects a broader shift in spirituality. She emphasizes the need for accountability, ethics, and a more grounded approach to spiritual practices as Neptune and Saturn transition into Aries. Yasmin advocates for facing uncomfortable truths and embracing the darker aspects of spirituality, moving away from the overly positive narratives that have dominated the discourse. Takeaways: Deepak Chopra's name appearing in the Epstein files raises questions about spiritual authority. The transition of Neptune and Saturn signifies a need for accountability in spirituality. Spirituality must evolve to include ethics and discernment. The era of blind faith in spiritual leaders is coming to an end. People are seeking evidence and integrity from their spiritual teachers. The dark moon symbolizes the importance of facing uncomfortable truths. Spiritual practices have been under-regulated, leading to potential abuses. The focus on love and light in spirituality can lead to spiritual bypassing. It's essential to confront the shadows in our spiritual journeys. The new age spirituality must embrace a more grounded and honest approach. Mysteries of the Dark Moon: The Secret Lunar Phase
2026/01/25
In this special episode, I’m taking you back to a conversation I recorded a few years ago with one of the astrologers I admire most, Demetra George. My fascination with the Dark Moon didn’t come from astrology school. It grew slowly over time, through being around magical women, healers, and seekers who understood that the quietest phase of the lunar cycle carries extraordinary power. Everything truly crystallised when I read Demetra’s book Mysteries of the Dark Moon. I became determined to speak with her, and after a little persistence and quite a few emails, she finally agreed. What followed was one of the most memorable conversations I’ve ever had about lunar wisdom, goddess traditions, and the ancient roots of astrology. In this episode, we explore why the Dark Moon isn’t something to fear, what ancient astrologers really taught about feminine spirituality, and how this hidden phase of the Moon can be used for healing, insight, and renewal. This conversation also feels especially timely as I prepare for the release of my Dark Moon Oracle Cards, now available for pre order.  In this episode, we cover: How Demetra George first became fascinated with goddess mythology and astrology. Why the Dark Moon represents withdrawal, regeneration, and the sacred pause before a new cycle. The inspiration behind Mysteries of the Dark Moon. The forgotten ancient name of the Third House as the House of the Goddess. How early astrological texts linked the Moon with women’s rites, dreams, and divination.Demetra’s interpretations of Medusa and Lilith and reclaiming feminine power. The symbolism of serpents, Kundalini energy, and feminine wisdom. How ancient priestesses used ritual, sexuality, and lunar timing for healing and regeneration. Why goddess traditions may not have vanished, but simply entered a hidden phase.Simple Dark Moon rituals you can try at home.Clearing your space, unplugging from stimulation, and inviting dreams and insight. How astrology can act as a form of remembrance rather than prediction. Why this episode matters This is a conversation about slowing down in a fast world. If you’ve ever felt drawn to lunar cycles, goddess wisdom, or the quieter spiritual spaces between endings and beginnings, this episode is for you. Bonus Episode: Menopause and the Midlife Planets: Saturn, Uranus and Chiron | Mainly Moonology Podcast S2 E154
2026/01/22
Did you know there’s such a thing as the astrology of menopause? Yasmin explores how Saturn, Uranus and Chiron cycles in our 40s and early 50s symbolise themes like reassessment, disruption and healing, and asks whether those line up with real-world menopause. To reality-check the astrology, Yasmin invites her oldest friend, journalist and TV producer-turned-author Fiona Clark, whose new book MenoWars dives into the medical, cultural, and political landscape of menopause today. In this conversation Yasmin and Fiona discuss: • The idea of “astrology of menopause” and key midlife cycles • Why Saturn themes of reassessment and low mood match many women’s symptoms • The “no more f***s to give” threshold and Uranus-style liberation • How trauma affects menopause severity and why research is lacking • The politics, commercialisation, and medical gaps around menopause care • The Maiden–Mother–Crone framework and whether a “wise elder” stage exists today • Why Fiona started a menopause charity to tackle research funding and education gaps • HRT confusion, risk, and why “it depends” is the only honest answer • Laughter, honesty, feminism, and reclaiming the Crone Key takeaways  Midlife astrology mirrors lived experience more than you might think. Saturn’s heaviness, Uranus’ rebellion, and Chiron’s healing themes show up in mood, identity, health and boundaries. Menopause is not just hot flushes. There are silent changes to the brain, heart, and bones that need attention beyond symptom management. The cultural moment is messy. Social media, medical arguments and commercial influences have created what Fiona calls the “Menowars.” Feminism matters here. Access, research, education and respect are still uneven. Menopause is a women’s health equity issue. There is power in the Crone. The idea of the wise elder resonates, but culture hasn’t caught up yet. About Fiona’s book “MenoWars: Why menopause’s moment has gone horribly wrong, and how you can navigate your way through it” The Times called it “fascinating.” It looks at menopause through science, politics, media, money and medicine, and includes humour plus real stories from women. Available in the USA this week, and already in the UK and Australia. Where to find Fiona • Instagram: @fiona_clark_writes • Menopause Research and Education Fund: (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) • Book: MenoWars: Why menopause’s moment has gone horribly wrong, and how you can navigate your way through it A final piece of advice from Fiona “Stop listening to everybody else’s opinions. New Moon in Aquarius: How to Plan 2026 Without Burning Out
2026/01/18
2026 is a big year astrologically. And that’s exactly why this isn’t the year to push harder, cram more in, or expect yourself to run on empty. In this episode, I talk about how to plan the year ahead in a way that actually protects your energy rather than drains it. Because burnout doesn’t come from being lazy or unmotivated. It comes from poor pacing and unrealistic expectations. If you want 2026 to be a year where you stay inspired, productive, and well, this episode is for you. In this episode, we explore Why most people burn out even when they’re doing everything “right”The difference between planning and overloading yourselfWhy rest is a strategy, not a rewardHow to plan your year around energy rather than pressureThe importance of knowing when not to pushHow the Moon naturally builds in action phases, pause points, and reset windowsWhy ignoring cosmic timing often leads to enforced stopsHow working with New Moons, Full Moons, and Quarter Moons can change how you feel day to dayA simple way to make 2026 feel manageable instead of overwhelmingThe big takeaway You don’t need a perfect plan for 2026. You need a kind one. When you work with the Moon, you stop fighting yourself. You pace your ambition, protect your nervous system, and make space for real momentum without exhaustion. Want help putting this into practice? The Moonology Diary 2026 is designed to help you do exactly that.
