Description

Mike and Jon have been friends for 20 years. However, for the past six have not lived in the same place. Mike moved to Sydney when Jon moved to London. Jon then moved to Sydney, so, a day later Mike moved to London. Mike then moved back to Sydney and so Jon moved to Alice Springs. This podcast started off as a way to keep in touch across hemispheres, and is now about their various mishaps, shenanigans and life-shambles as they struggle to settle into Aussie life and one day rekindle their bromance in the same city.

E070 - Mike Is A Model Now
2021/12/05
This week on the JaM, Mike tells us about his new career, his 5-a-side Masters debut and some exciting news from the world of brass tribute bands. The boys also learn, once again, what Mike has in his house. The Morning JaM would be absolutely walking on sunshine if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you have a tagline that is better than "JaM with us". Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E069 - Oooh 69
2021/11/22
TO BE WRITTEN (It's taken Jon long enough to edit this, don't expect blurb too!) The Morning JaM would be absolutely walking on sunshine if you contacted them at [email protected], especially to give your opinion on whether Mike's Nailbourne fact is better than Jon's Todd River fact. Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E068 - COP26 and Vaccine Lies
2021/11/09
The JaMmers try to get serious this week with discussions about the COP26 and Instagram vaccine conspiracies, but then Mike farts and normal service resumes.  Jon is upset that a TikTok'r is getting famous by telling rubbish facts, which is something he has done for 68 episodes now and continues on this one. However, he may be getting gout so swings and roundabouts.  Meanwhile Mike's got a new hat...pretty exciting stuff bet you can't wait to listen.  (Disclaimer: By time of writing this bio I have forgotten what's been edited out of the podcast so some of the above may or may not be in this episode) The Morning JaM would be absolutely walking on sunshine if you contacted them at [email protected], especially to give your opinion on whether Mike's Nailbourne fact is better than Jon's Todd River fact. E067 - Getting Drunk And Doing a Baldwin
2021/10/29
For the first time since their respective moves the JaMmers have managed to do consecutive episodes without a break, leading to very little excitement amongst the podcasting community and / or their friends and six listeners.  This week we get topical as Mike confuses his work colleagues with his reaction to Alec Baldwin's alleged accident, and, is enjoying his new found freedom's a little bit too much.  Meanwhile, Jon is picking cryptocurrencies based on the habits of a hamster named Mr. Goxx, and trying to entice some 'birds' into his house.  Jon has also been galivanting in the Northern Territory spending time at one of Sydney's most famous landmarks, while Mike tries to figure out what he did to make all his friends leave Sydney as soon as he arrived.  The Morning JaM would be completely bowled over if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you have are in Sydney and willing to be Mike's friend.  Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E066 - The One That Came After The One That Never Came
2021/10/22
After an absence of three weeks, while Jon couldn't be arsed to edit the podcast, the JaMmers return! And this time, it's the same as all the other times! (If not, a bit more awkward) Jon's settling into Alice Springs life by dressing up as Chad Kroeger and doing Karaoke like he is 25 again, meanwhile Mike is finally moving into a flat in Sydney leading to a lovely game of "Guess what we packed two years ago!?" Meanwhile Jon's household objects are malfunctioning in a number of ways while Mike is finally getting a taste of freedom as lockdown in Sydney ends.  J.K. Rowling and four American Presidents also make special appearances.  The Morning JaM would be utterly heartwarmed if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you have tips for how to get Jon to stop procrastinating and EDIT THE BLOODY PODCAAAAAAST! Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E064 - Flakey Times In Alice Springs
2021/09/22
After a short break while the JaMmers struggled to make their various moves, they are back. Jon is finally free in Alice Springs and struggling with his skin going as flakey as Goldmember's in the Northern Territory heat. Meanwhile, Mike has started a new job in Sydney and is struggling to socialise virtually.  The Morning JaM would be exceedingly exuberant if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you have tips for how Jon can stop his skin flakes. Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E063 - Australian Quarantine #4 - How To Win The Flatmate War
2021/09/02
Jon is nearly finished with Quarantining in the Northern Territory, so planning for his next step must begin. As Jon embarks on moving in with a girl, Mike and Jon hatch a plan so that Jon can become the undisputed 'better flatmate'.  Meanwhile, is it acceptable to piss in the ocean? Does Jon's mum know our friends better than we do?  Are bread makers worth the money? Would you watch Nintendo Mario porn?  The Morning JaM would be extremely excited if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you have tips to make Jon the better flatmate and / or starred in Gladiator Eroticus. Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E062 - Australian Quarantine #3 - Sydney's Loss Is Almost Alice Spring's Gain
2021/08/26
Jon has escaped Sydney, but has he made it to Alice Springs? From within his quarantine room Jon updates us on the epic saga that is his move to Alice Springs, including another BIG ANNOUNCEMENT of future life choices.  Mike meanwhile wants to make sure everyone knows he has had it worse than Jon when it comes to quarantine's and lockdowns.  Jon is also now playing Pokemon to 'pass the quarantine hours' while Mike is wondering 'who's poo was it?' There is also a fun fact about Jon's least favourite airline, QANTAS. The Morning JaM would be absolute enamoured with you if you contacted them at [email protected], especially if you are one of the big 3000 listens they have achieved! Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E061 - JaMassic Park: The Lost Jon
2021/08/18
This episode of the Morning JaM starts with Mike misspelling cobra and it goes down hill from there.  Jon has a move imminent, if the Northern Territory will let him in. Mike, meanwhile, is definitely in lockdown again.  Meanwhile Mike's urine has turned green, and even more worryingly, his new furniture is brown and floral.  Mike also asks why there were no Pokemon at the Olympics and Jeremy Clarkson questions Mike and Jon's life decisions.  Also the whole episode has a weird dinosaur theme because Jon just happened to watch Jurassic Park and / or World.  The Morning JaM would be roaring with delight if you contacted them at [email protected], especially to tell them what dinosaur you would be if you had to be a dinosaur?  Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E060 - AstraZeneca Vs Pfizer
2021/08/12
When Jon feels a sudden pain in his chest the Morning JaM pontificates on three possible reasons, could it be caused by a) A blood clot from Jon's recent AstraZeneca vaccine? b) A broken rib from Jon going ass-over-tit running to get his UberEats Delivery? or, c) Jon is a hypochondriac and actually completely fine. Yes, no fear, this episode title does not indicate a turn towards serious debate for the Morning JaM, the JaMmers just wonder if Jon's AstraZeneca-induced fever dreams are a worse than Mike's Pfizer induced-number twos.  Meanwhile Mike is in Coronavirus Groundhog Day, urinating in wide-open areas, watching too much Olympics, and drinking too many beers.  Jon on the other-hand is confused by his favourite sport's penalties and celebrating 25 years of Dolly The Sheep.  The Morning JaM has also received a less than complimentary piece of correspondence.  The Morning JaM would be gleeful if you contacted them at [email protected], whether it be complementary or not.  Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E059 - The Race To Draw A Penis
2021/08/04
If you were stood by the side of a road with a piece of chalk and a peloton of cyclists heading your way, would you risk your life to draw a penis on that road before they get there? That is the question Jon asks this week.  Meanwhile both members of the JaM are getting vaccinated - Pfizer vs AZ, the battle lines are drawn. Mike is enjoying his freedom in Canberra but wondering what kind of human being still doesn't wear a facemask, while Jon gives us an odd insight into why he does.  The Olympics continue and Mike's Olympic level of sedentary is continuing as he gets too into sports such as Gymnastics and Dressage. And, following his great queueing anecdote, this week Jon has caught a bus.  The Morning JaM would be euphoric if you contacted them at [email protected], especially to let us know what weird sports you'd put in the Olympics. Theme tune is sampled from Walking Back to El Paso from texasradiofish
E058 - JaM To The Future
2021/07/29
Lockdown is taking its toll on Jon who really doesn't have anything to talk about. So after a slight false start and a re-recording we now get to listen to him re-tell the exciting tale of his time in the queue at a ServiceNSW to get his Medicare card.  Jon also has a dilemma, does he trust the airline that has cancelled on him eight times to help him make his move to Alice Springs? Meanwhile, Mike has been to the coast and nearly stole a child, and he asks the big question - who farted?  The JaM also discusses the Olympics coverage on Channel 7, they ask why Russia are seemingly still in the Olympics despite their ban, and Mike drinks a Milo live on air! Oooo exciting! Jon also treats us all to a fun fact about the tallest mountain in Australia.  The Morning JaM would be blissed out if you contacted them at [email protected], especially to let us know...how do you make your Hot Chocolate?
