#28 WTW We Need To Keep Our Mouth Shut
2021/01/20
ModMonk Anshul narrates an interesting story of a tortoise Sheru - and his habit of not being able to keep quiet! We also tend to speak more than we know or when we are told to keep quiet or at wrong places and we too end up in trouble like "Sheru".. In the spiritual world keeping quiet or not speaking is a very integral part of spiritual development, and hence many masters/ spiritual aspirants practice "Maun" (silence) for periods through out their life.  Hope you enjoy the story !  Love, ModMonk Anshul Follow us on on social media platforms - @modmonkansul
#27 The Saint and The Scorpio
2021/01/13
ModMonk Anshul narrates this beautiful story, through which she explains that we are born with an innate nature, and with dharma and righteous behavior, we should stick to our "dharma" as a human being. Our Dharma is compassion, good behavior and kindness - but just because someone else is behaving in other way, we tend to change our true core of our being - and this is not correct. We need to do what we do with full love and dedication, without worrying what the other is doing. That is our Dharma. Hope you enjoy the story !  With love, ModMonk Anshul. 2020/12/30

#24 When we Doubt - WTW Modmonk Anshul
2020/12/23
What we think & feel, we mirror! Our doubts are capable of making or breaking our relationships. ModMonk Anshul narrates a story about a boy & a girl, the moral of which is how restlessness will engulf us when we doubt. What we think about ourselves or actions that we do, we find it gets mirrored in other people that we encounter in life. If we lie to someone, we start feeling that the other person is also lying to us. We start having these doubts which more often than not are false and disturb our mental peace. Next time you are doubting someone's actions, take a step back and think if it is 'you' who you are actually doubting!
#23 Our Happy bundle of misery
2020/12/16
If you carry a weight for a long time, you get comfortable with it; similarly we have been carrying our sorrows for so long, that even if we get a chance to let go, we do not, simply because we are comfortable with the misery. ModMonk Anshul narrates a story of a man who was desperate to let go of his miseries and prayed for the same devoutly. Yet when he does get a chance to exchange it with other miseries, he is unable to because he is so attached to his sorrows. This story showcases how attached we are to our known miseries that even if get a chance to exchange them with joy & bliss we wouldn’t be able to because we are happy with known misery than unknown happiness!
#22 Hassein’s revelation - one who gives take sit back
2020/12/09
ModMonk Anshul narrates a story about Hassein & how wisely he compared life to a dream. He came to understand the true essence of living-  how we should be prepared to let go of everything the Universe or God had given us, it was never truly ours to begin with. We should revel & be grateful while we have the blessings bestowed upon us by God, but when they are taken away we should not feel dejected as they are bound to be taken away. This is the cycle of life and the only constant is ourselves! The sooner we realize this, the more happier we will feel.

2020/11/04
Real wisdom comes from experience. #18 Shishupal and his 100 Sins
2020/10/28
We say many times that people do so many misdeeds and never get the result of pay in the same coin. We say this because we can see only a part of their story and life, the universe works in a way that only after one has completed a set of misdeeds or bad karma once gets paid for it. As they have a backlog of karmas that gets accumulated and then get served.  Modmonk Narrates a story about Shishupal, and his 100 sins, how he was not harmed and was allowed by Lord Krishna ( universe ) to go on doing wrong deeds until the time was over, and he had used up all the points he had finally to be punished!  ModMonk Anshul advice all to be aware of the deeds, one does however small as they all have a collective effect on one's destiny!  Hope you enjoy the story!
