The Thirst Time - Kem Eggers- Eggers Hops
2026/10/20
On this week's episode, we sit down with Kem Eggers, owner of Eggers Hops in New Zealand’s famed Moutere Valley. We’re huge fans of what Kem and the team do, their Riwaka features heavily in our beers, and this week we’ve got two releases showcasing their hops, including the next entry in our Cultivate series. It was fantastic learning the story behind Eggers, who have been growing for over 150 years. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Ben Stubbs - Rivington Brewing Co
2026/09/22
This week we sit down with Ben Stubbs, co-founder of Rivington Brewing Co. Having launched around the same time as us, we dipped into the nostalgia bag to chat about the Manchester beer scene. We also dive into how a US trip inspired it all, and how they grew from a humble homebrew setup into one of the most spectacular taprooms and breweries in the UK. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - John Penno - Bold River Hops
2026/09/08
On this week's episode of The Thirst Time, we sat down with John Penno, owner and co-founder of Bold River Hops. This episode is part of a series of interviews with hop growers, running alongside our Cultivate beer series, where we celebrate the stories and hard work happening further up the supply chain. John has an incredibly interesting story: how hops became the answer to a question, could some of New Zealand's famous hop varieties grow this far south? We know the answer now, having just used their amazing Nectaron in one of our beers, but the story and science behind it are fascinating. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. The Thirst Time - Matt Dutton - Track Brewing Co
2026/08/26
Well... it's been a long time coming, but we sat down with our Head Brewer, Matt Dutton. We talked about his journey from bar manager to homebrew competition winner, his early days at Track, and how he approaches brewing. A compressed 10-year odyssey that we hope you enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Jade McManus & Karen Taylor - Ryefield Hops
2026/08/12
On this episode, we speak to Jade McManus and Karen Taylor of Ryefield Hops, a first-generation hop farm based in Bemboka, New South Wales, Australia. This was a truly inspiring conversation about the hardships, challenges and breakthroughs of building a regenerative hop farm from scratch. Want to try the hops for yourself? We're releasing three beers, each showcasing a different Ryefield varietal, live now on our webshop. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Kevin Smith - Bale Breaker
2026/07/14
To go alongside our collaboration with Bale Breaker and Loftus Ranches, we sat down with brewmaster and co-founder Kevin Smith. Bale Breaker isn't your usual brewery. It sits in the middle of a hop field on Loftus Ranches, the family farm in the heart of the Yakima Valley, where the Smiths first planted hops back in 1932. Today, Kevin's dad, Mike and brother Patrick run the farm, while Kevin, his sister Meghann, and brother-in-law (also Kevin) run the brewery. It's a true family affair. Raised on a hop farm, Kevin left to cut his teeth brewing in Seattle before coming home to build something pretty special: a brewery surrounded on all sides by the very hops that go into the beer. Enjoy. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Jeremy Grinkey - Everywhere Beer Co
2026/06/30
This week on the podcast, we have Jeremy Grinkey of Everywhere Beer Co. The word "legend" gets thrown around a lot, but it sits perfectly with Jeremy. After taking the lead at The Bruery's world-renowned barrel-aging program (The Bruery Terreux), he and a few of his associates left to set up Everywhere Beer Co. His love of wine, people, and beer shines through, and it was an absolute joy to sit down with him and hear more about his journey. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Ryan Nosek - Ghost Town Brewing
2026/06/22
If you love West Coast IPA, this one's for you. We were lucky enough to have Ryan and Noah from Ghost Town Brewing stop by on their way to MBCC and naturally, we had to brew a West Coast IPA together. Their beers blew us away, and their passion for what they do is something else. Getting to learn from them was a real privilege, and only deepened our love and reverence for the style. Enjoy! The Thirst Time - Davy Martin - Orchestrated Minds Brewing
2026/06/10
A couple of weeks back we had the pleasure of welcoming Davy from Orchestrated Minds to the brewery to brew a beer with us. Davy, is a man who leaves an impression. His drive and enthusiasm for what he does is infectious and brings with it a kind of energy and positivity that makes you feel like you could run through a brick wall! Maybe that's how you'll feel after listening to this one too... Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Judit & Michael - Dos Kiwis
2026/06/02
What does it take to leave everything familiar behind and start from scratch in a new industry? On this week’s episode of The Thirst Time, we sit down with Judit and Michael, founders of Girona’s beautiful brewery and taproom, Dos Kiwis. They open up about walking away from their careers in fashion to chase a dream wrapped in place and purpose. This is a story about community, passion, and, of course, incredible beer. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - James Rylance - Ideal Day Family Brewery
2026/05/19
Three and a half years ago, we sat down with James as he was embarking on his new brewing project, Ideal Day. James was never interested in just brewing for brewing's sake; he wanted to make a difference and use the knowledge he'd accumulated through years of working in the brewery industry to create something with purpose and to do it with the people he loved the most, his family. We thought it was about time we caught back up with him, to see how it has all been going. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Thirst Time - Dominic Driscoll - Thornbridge Brewery
2026/05/05

2026/04/28
A long overdue discussion with our friend Reece Hugill, owner & founder of Donzoko Brewing Company.
