Join us for a special episode of Roundhouse Roulette as we come together at CD’s Bar & Grill to celebrate the life, legacy, and legend of Chuck Norris. In the wake of his passing at age 86, we take time to reflect on the man who shaped not only Walker, Texas Ranger, but our podcast—and, in many ways, our lives. We revisit Chuck’s incredible journey—from a shy kid in Oklahoma to Air Force serviceman, world karate champion, and ultimately one of the most iconic action stars of all time. Along the way, we dig into his film career (Delta Force, Missing in Action, Lone Wolf McQuade) and the wild, genre-defying brilliance of Walker, Texas Ranger—a show that gave us everything from roundhouse kicks to aliens, Nazis, and jetpacks. We share tributes from fans, castmates, and fellow action legends, revisit classic clips, and, of course, break down some all-time “vehicular transference” moments. We also reflect on Chuck’s deeper impact—his humility, his philosophy, and his work with programs like Kickstart Kids that continue to help young people find direction and strength. From personal stories (including Adam’s unforgettable encounter with Chuck himself) to the enduring absurdity and joy of Chuck Norris jokes, this episode honors the larger-than-life legacy of Chuck Norris. At the end of the day, we’re celebrating more than a TV star—we’re honoring a true original whose legacy will live on in every roundhouse kick, every outlandish plotline, and every fan he brought together. Roundhouse Nation, join us as we pay tribute to Chuck—and keep beaming his legend out into the universe. We were saddened to learn of WTR director Michael Preece's passing. In October of 2021 he was kind enough to talk with us about his amazing career and we thought we'd reshare that interview here. Our thoughts go out to his friends and family. What a life! ORIGINAL SHOW NOTES We are excited to share our interview with legendary director, Michael Preece, who worked on 70 episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger! He got his start script supervising the likes of Brando, Wayne and McQueen only to jump in the director's chair and helm some of TV's biggest shows (Dallas, MacGyver & 7th Heaven). We talk about it all with a heavy dose of Chuck Norris! See complete episode stats (# of fights, explosions, vehicle chases, roundhouse kicks & more) at roundhouseroulette.com. Our bad recreation of the epic banger from the Walker, Texas Ranger episode "Power Angels." Picture an overly long montage of Walker and Trivette running a footrace against a pair of German's in the International Peacemaker Games! CREDITS Adam Dalton - Vocals & Guitar Evan Dalton - Bass & Recorder Brendan "Bob" Leahy - Drums LYRICS It's just a game, it's all for fun Who really cares? Who's number one? Enjoy yourself, don't blow a fuse It's just a game, unless you lose Or when you win They shake your hair They pat your back a party's planned When you lose it's not the same The music stopped, it's just a shame But when your life’s on easy street The loser cries no friends to meet He sing the song they call the blues It's just a game unless you lose It's just a game so have a blast And take it slow, take it back Just don't forget the pagan news It's just a game unless you lose Oh, when you win the champagne bowl The women smile the garden grows When you lose the sun won't shine The children weep nothing's fine So have a ball, enjoy the run Remember that it’s all in fun Try your best lace up your shoes It's just a game unless you lose Wow! It's just a game It's all for fun Who really cares Who's number one Enjoy yourself Don’t blow a fuse It's just a game unless you lose See complete episode stats (# of fights, explosions, vehicle chases, roundhouse kicks & more) at roundhouseroulette.com.
