In this episode I get to talk to my Uncle Diego in conversation about his career in the medical field. Dr. Diego Humphrey was the first to graduate from Medical School in Grenada, he graduated from SGU and he has been in the medical field for 30 years now. He studied Cardiology in the USA and after 15 years of study - he got his MD.  Teacher Jomen was his inspiration for going to medical school. As the President of the Grenada Day Cultural Association (GDCA) and the Spice Island Association, Maria has dedicated years to fostering unity and celebrating heritage. In this episode, she joins Carlene Humphrey to discuss the evolution of the Grenada Day Festival in Toronto—now in its 18th year—and its recent move to a larger venue at Pioneer Village to accommodate thousands of patrons.
