The last few weeks has seen an explosion of new gaming announcements.  New entries in the Silent Hill series.  A game that has been long in development called Scorn.  I have been following this game since its announcement in 2014.  At long last, it will be released in October of 2022.  The influence of H.R Giger lives on in this atmospheric horror title.  It should also be mentioned, Zdzislaw Beksinski is a surrealist painter who is also influencing the artstyle of Scorn. What a wild week for gaming it's been.  Nintendo announced Breath of the wild 2 would be delayed until 2023.  While we have been waiting for the game for quite awhile, it's sad that we have to wait longer.  Will the wait be worth it?  Yes, but it sucks waiting.  Perhaps Nintendo will also announce new hardware?  We shall see. Sony unveiled their new subscription service and pricing model.  $9.99 for the PlayStation Plus Essential tier, $14.99 for the PlayStation Plus Extra tier, and $17.99 for the PlayStation Plus Premium tier in the USA.  The premium tier is where the juicy bits are, but I'd rather just pay for PS1 games by itself without the extra.  Will it be a worthy adversary to Xbox Gamepass?? Let's take a trip down memory lane to a land of insanity.  Illbleed is a horror game for the Dreamcast set in a fictional horror theme park called Illbleed.  Each of the attractions are based on a fictional B horror movie.  No one else at the time had made a game like this.  It's not your traditional survival horror game.  It's one wild ride of weirdness. July 2021 The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword is released as a remaster.  I got to play the original back in the day and am happy to be able to revisit it.  Nintendo could have done a little better.  Windwaker was handled somewhat better and received more visual enhancements than this game, but I'm happy nonetheless.  I'll take what I can get.  This was the first game in the series to have an orchestrated soundtrack and it really shows.  The games story is a bit lighter compared to other games in the series and the art style is that of an impressionist painting.  Beautiful for sure.  Be sure not to miss the earliest entry into the Zelda series.   /// "Music: http://www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music or "Music: purrple-cat-mysterious-lights - Bensound.com" --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bendoesgaming/support
