Two Kingdoms
2026/10/01
We live in the middle of a spiritual battle between two kingdoms: the kingdom of darkness and the Kingdom of God. As Jennie Allen reminds us, these kingdoms are opposed, but they are not equal. Jesus has already won the decisive victory over darkness! Through Him, we have been rescued and brought into His Kingdom. But we still face lies and deception that try to pull us away from God’s truth. We walk in authority over darkness as we daily surrender to the authority of God, choosing His truth over our own and His will over our own.
Battle For Truth
2026/09/22
Lies rarely announce themselves as lies. They often sound reasonable, feel true, and may have been part of our thinking for so long that we no longer question them. But what we believe matters because the lies we believe shape the lives we live. Jesus invites us to look beneath the “cracks” we see in our lives and discover what we believe underneath them. As we remain in His Word, He reveals what is true and leads us into freedom. The battle for our lives begins with the battle for what we believe.
Press On
2026/09/14
Following Jesus is a lifelong journey of growth. None of us has arrived, and God does not expect us to have everything figured out. But He loves us too much to leave us where we are. Paul reminds us that spiritual maturity includes recognizing our need to grow, letting go of what is behind us, and continuing to press on toward becoming more like Jesus. We don’t grow to earn God’s love; we grow because we are already loved by Him. “It’s okay not to be okay, but it’s not okay to stay not okay.”
Built to Worship
2026/09/08
We often think of worship as the songs we sing at church, but worship is much bigger than music. Worship is about what has our attention, affection, trust, and obedience. Something will always sit on the “throne” of our lives. Romans 12 reminds us that because of God’s mercy and all He has done for us our response is to offer our whole lives back to Him. God gets the throne, and we place our lives on the altar. We were built to worship God with ALL of our lives.
Built to Serve
2026/09/02
God didn't just save us from something; He saved us for something. Scripture describes the church as a body with many different parts, and every part matters. God has given each believer gifts, abilities, and opportunities to serve others. Our role may not always be visible, but visibility does not determine value. When each person faithfully plays their part, the whole body becomes stronger. We don’t serve simply to fill a need; we serve because we follow Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve. Every believer has a part to play in the body of Christ.
Built to Belong
2026/08/24
God never intended for us to follow Jesus alone. We were built to belong. In Acts 2, the early believers didn’t simply attend church together, they shared life together. They learned, prayed, ate, celebrated, gave, and cared for one another. This kind of community takes more than being in the same room; it requires us to be known and committed to one another. God uses community to help us grow, experience joy, and show others what Jesus is like. Following Jesus was never meant to be done alone. We were built to belong.
Put on the Armor
2026/08/18
Do you feel like you’re constantly struggling to handle the weight of tomorrow? In this powerful message, David McQueen delivers a surprising truth: none of us actually have what we need to face the possibilities of the future on our own—and that is actually great news. Drawing from the biblical story of manna in the desert and the full armor of God in Ephesians 6, David explains that our modern epidemic of anxiety often stems from a "self-reliance" that was never part of our original design. We weren't created to be independent, but rather to live in a state of daily dependence on God’s provision. Join us as we discover how to stop being overwhelmed by the "what-ifs" of life and instead find strength for today and unshakeable confidence for tomorrow by learning to gather our "daily bread" and put on our spiritual armor every single morning.
Walking Wisely
2026/08/10
Want to walk wisely? This week Geoffrey explains that we are constantly being shaped by our daily influences, such as media and politics, and must be intentional to avoid drifting away from a purposeful path. By embracing their identity as children of God, individuals can move from darkness to light and carefully examine their conduct. This transformation is not achieved through personal willpower but by relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to guide every step.
Love Your Neighbor
2026/08/04
What does it really mean to love your neighbor? When Jesus was asked to name the greatest commandment, His answer was simple: Love God. Love your neighbor. But this kind of love isn't just about being nice; it's a supernatural love made possible by the Holy Spirit. In this message from our A Better Life series, we discover that every part of our lives "hangs" on these two commands. Looking at Ephesians 4:25-32, we'll see how the Holy Spirit empowers us to exchange lies for truth, anger for patience, bitterness for forgiveness, and words that tear down for words that build up. When we rely on God's Spirit, we begin to love others the way Jesus loves us.
Through a Renewed Mind
2026/07/28
What if the life Jesus offers is better than what's considered "normal"? In this message from Ephesians 4:17–24, we discover that following Jesus means putting off old ways of thinking, renewing our minds with His truth, and embracing the abundant life He promises. As our culture defines truth on its own terms, God's Word invites us to something better—a life transformed by the truth found in Jesus.
Grow Up
2026/07/21
In this message, Pastor David McQueen explores the transition in the book of Ephesians from understanding the grace of the gospel to the practical call for believers to "grow up" and mature in their faith. While the commands found in scripture are rooted in God’s love and designed for our ultimate good, many people struggle with "big butts"—the various excuses involving time, fear, or personal preferences that stand in the way of obedience. The source emphasizes that every follower of Jesus shares a common calling to a holy life, which is primarily demonstrated through an eagerness to maintain unity within the church. By practicing humility, gentleness, and patience, believers can navigate disagreements on secondary issues without dividing, providing a powerful supernatural witness of God’s peace to the world. Ultimately, growing up is a lifelong journey of reclaiming obedience and putting the truth into practice to build a firm foundation in Christ.
Be Strong
2026/07/14
True spiritual strength is contrasted with "ego lifting," which is the hollow pursuit of appearing strong to others without putting in the necessary inner work,. This genuine strength is essential for believers to stand firm during the "day of evil," described as strategic, heightened moments of spiritual attack against one's life, marriage, or family,. The source outlines three pillars for developing this power: "kneeling" in voluntary surrender to God’s authority, ensuring Christ can "dwell" fully in an undivided heart by removing idols and battling sin, and seeking to experientially "know" the immeasurable, supernatural love of God that surpasses mere intellectual information,,,. Ultimately, this process allows believers to move past superficial facades and access the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit within their inner being, enabling them to lead a life of victory and abundance.
Unity
2026/07/08
In the fourth week of the "Better Life" series, Geoffrey Turner explores the profound truth that "because of Jesus, we belong to God and we belong to one another". Rooted in Ephesians 2:11-22, the message emphasizes that while the world creates walls of exclusion based on politics, race, and income, Jesus has already "broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility," symbolized by the ancient "Soreg" temple wall that once excluded outsiders under threat of death. Geoffrey argues that true peace is not merely an emotion but the person of Jesus himself, and that horizontal peace with others must flow from our vertical reconciliation with God. Consequently, believers are no longer "spiritual houseguests" but "members of the household of God," called to stop rebuilding the walls Jesus tore down and to prioritize pursuing relationships over winning arguments. Ultimately, the church’s role is not to create unity but to reveal the unity Christ has already established through the cross.
Open Your Eyes
2026/06/29
Guest Speaker Jake Mills, Lead Pastor of New Life Church in Ohio, uses the story of his son’s “lazy eye” to illustrate how many believers navigate life with unseen spiritual blind spots. Drawing from Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1, Mills explains that what Christians need most is not more information, but divine revelation that opens their eyes to the truths of the gospel. He highlights three areas where spiritual blindness often occurs: losing sight of the eternal hope we have in Christ, forgetting our value as God’s treasured inheritance, and underestimating the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit at work within us. Ultimately, Mills reminds us that spiritual sight cannot be achieved through effort or religion alone—it comes through knowing Jesus personally and receiving the transforming revelation that only God can give.
A Bigger Story
2026/06/22
We discover that true purpose is found by shifting from building our own small kingdoms to participating in God’s grand, eternal story. While many of us feel a sense of emptiness chasing temporary achievements like career or wealth, Ephesians 1:7-14 reveals we were created to be part of God’s ultimate plan to unite all things under the reign of Jesus. Having been redeemed and adopted into His family, we are invited to stop trying to be the main characters of our lives and instead seek first the Kingdom of God. By placing Jesus at the center of our "why," our daily actions gain eternal significance as we join a story that began before the foundation of the world.
