Are You Listening to the Whispers?
2026/10/19
Are You Listening to the Whispers? Have you ever heard something that, for some reason, just stuck with you? Or noticed an idea, conversation, or feeling that keeps finding its way back into your life? What if those moments are worth paying attention to? After a recent conversation with an upcoming podcast guest about a concept Oprah Winfrey calls the whispers, I was reminded of something I wrote years ago called Tokens: Life Lessons Through Encountered Souls. And it got me thinking about two things: the whispers we might be overlooking in our own lives and the whispers we might be delivering to others without even realizing it. In this solo episode, we're exploring the power of paying attention, recognizing the potential in ourselves and others, and giving those quiet nudges a chance before they become screams. Because sometimes the words we need to hear are already being spoken. And sometimes, we might be the ones speaking them into someone else's life. Maybe you could be someone's whisper.
(EP 149) Connecting: How to Network Without Feeling Like You’re Networking
2026/10/11
Networking has always made me nervous. The pressure to explain what you do, sell yourself, and somehow turn a conversation into an opportunity can make the whole thing feel forced. But a recent collaboration made me rethink what networking can actually look like. In this episode, I’m sharing the two things I think matter most if you want to create stronger connections, open yourself up to more collaborations, and make networking feel a lot more natural.
(EP 148) Connecting: How to Make Your Content Actually Grow Your Business
2026/10/05
If you’re posting consistently but aren’t sure how your content is actually helping you grow your business, this episode is for you. I talk about one of the biggest shifts I’ve made in how I think about content: short-form helps people discover you, long-form helps them spend more time with you, and your offer gives them a clear next step. Tune in if you want to stop creating content just to stay visible and start building a simple path that turns attention into trust, connection, and eventually business growth.
EP (147) Creating: Finding Opportunity in What You Love
2026/09/28
What if turning your passion into a career isn't just about what you love doing, but about finding a problem you can solve for others? In this episode, I'm joined by H. Dean Reynolds, a music publishing coach who helps gospel artists and faith-based creators build generational wealth through their music. H. Dean shares his journey from working as a bus driver and custodian to going back to school to study music publishing, eventually creating his own programs to help artists understand their rights, royalties, and the business behind their music. If you know what you're passionate about but haven't figured out how to turn it into a career, this episode is for you. EP (146) Connecting: The Life You Want Requires a New Threshold
2026/09/21
What if the reason your dream feels overwhelming isn’t because you can’t handle it but because you’re imagining your future life with your current capacity? In this solo episode, I explore how your threshold for what you can hold changes as we grow. This isn’t about glorifying burnout or constantly adding more to your plate. It’s about learning the difference between what’s truly unsustainable and what simply feels hard because it’s new and creating systems around the things that matter most. Your current capacity isn’t your ceiling.
(EP 145) Connecting: Stop Comparing Yourself to Who You Used to Be
2026/09/14
My current season in life is a Season of Clarity - not because I have everything figured out, but because I’m starting to see certain things differently. In this solo episode, I’m sharing three realizations I’ve been sitting with lately as I think about who I’ve been, what I’m building, and who I’m becoming. If you’ve been feeling stuck, questioning your progress, or trying to find your way back to an older version of yourself, this episode is for you.
(EP 144) Connecting: Your Dream Deserves a Real Chance
2026/09/07
What would it look like to give your dream a real chance? In this solo episode, I’m sharing three lessons I’m learning as I build Creating Connections in real time: why your idea doesn’t need to prove itself immediately, why getting closer to the people you want to help can shape what you build, and why reaching your next level might require a new process. If you’ve been sitting on an idea, questioning whether it’s “working,” or trying to figure out how to give your dream more space in your life, this episode is for you.
(EP 143) Connecting: How to Define Your North Star
2026/08/24
If you’ve been feeling scattered, unsure what you’re naturally good at, or disconnected from the bigger impact you want to make, this episode is for you.
(EP 142) Creating: Making Space for the Skill Behind Your Dream
2026/08/17
What does it look like to keep making space for a dream, even when life gets full? Natalia Loya, author of The Laboratory Assistant, has been writing for as long as she can remember - and continued making time for it through law school, a 9-to-5, and all the different seasons of life that could have pushed it to the side. In this episode we talk about how Natalia developed her creative flow, the habits that helped her strengthen her craft over time, and the lessons she’s learned along the way for anyone who wants to become a better writer. Plus, stick around for the Creating Connections segment at the end - a new addition to guest episodes where I take pieces of Natalia’s story and connect them back to your own. Learn more about Natalia and The Laboratory Assistant at natalialoya.com and follow Natalia’s writing journey on Instagram @theloyawrites.
(EP 141) Connecting: How to Take Up Space
2026/08/10
The Nintendo we know and love didn't start as a video game company. It started as hand-painted playing cards in 1889 - and it took over a century, a maintenance worker's homemade toy, and a string of failed businesses to become what we know today. Wild right?! In this episode, I break apart the limiting belief that's probably keeping you from starting: the idea that you can't create something because it's already been done. That fear isn't really about originality - it's about believing your starting point is your end point. Social media has convinced us dreams happen overnight. They don't. They evolve. So if you're waiting to feel unique before you start, this one's for you.
(EP 140) Connecting: Keeping Up Is Preventing You From Showing Up
2026/08/03
We're living in a new rat race - the one where social media and the current stage of technology make it feel like anything is possible, but also like you're always behind. I definitely think there's an opportunity in this era to quit the 9-5 rat race and build something more aligned to your purpose - however, you don't want to accidentally fall into the new rat race in the process. In this episode, I walk through what I call the Dreamer's Loop - or Levels 1-4 - the stages we cycle through trying to find our purpose, and the exact loops that keep us stuck in the pursuit of making our dream a reality.
(EP 139) Creating: A Low Sugar Syrup That Goes on Whatever
2026/06/15
What happens when two creatives with no food science background decide to build a CPG brand from scratch? Tayler and Alex, founders of Sup Syrup, wrote down their idea in February 2025 and made their first sale June 2026. In this episode we talk about how they navigated formulation, finding a copacker, minimum order quantities, and launching their first two syrups - all while figuring it out as they went. Plus, stick around for a new segment at the end - Creating Connections - where I take their story and connect it to yours. Sup Syrup is now available for purchase at supsyrup.com.Support the Sup team's journey on @shopsupsyrup on IG and Tiktok.
(EP 138) What Are You Hiding?
2026/06/01
Everyone hands you a blueprint. Do this, post that, follow the formula. And sure it'll get you started and take you so far. But the brands and businesses that actually stick? There is another crucial element. Your idea's success lies in one simple truth: you have to bring you to the table. And not just the "perfect" version of you. In this episode, I'm digging into the one ingredient that makes everything different and how to make sure you're weaving it into everything you build. Drawing from Chris Do's Unblanding Yourself, I'm talking about why the things you hide might actually be your biggest differentiators, and walking you through a simple but powerful exercise to flip your so-called "flaws" into your brand's greatest strengths. Because trust isn't built by blending in. It's built by showing up as exactly who you are.
(EP 137) Creating: An App That Helps Women Start Their Running Journey
2026/03/23
In this episode, I talk to Brooklyn, who’s building an app designed to help women start running - combining practical training, running trips, and a strong sense of community all in one place. It’s not just about the hype of running right now - it’s about creating something sustainable. An app that actually supports you as a beginner, with guidance on how to train, how to stay consistent, and how to build a real relationship with running. Tune in to hear how Brooklyn navigates an opportunity with a potential investor, and more importantly, how she plans to carry out her vision for this app ✨ Connect with StarterPackRunning at: IG: @starterpackrunning
(EP 136) Connecting: How to Enter Flow State While Working a 9-5
2026/03/02
If working on your dream feels hard every weekend…you might be unintentionally making it harder than it needs to be. In this episode, I break down why flow doesn’t come from pressure - it comes from staying close to the thing you’re building.
