Description

Hi, I'm Joy Millani, a young female start-up entrepreneur. I started this podcast after feeling almost defeated and close to quitting my business, right before it's launch. Luckily, with the help and encouragement, of other successful female entrepreneurs, I kept on going. So, on this podcast, I interview some of these successful women, who have already gone through the challenges, we experience starting out, as a way of inspiring, younger female-startup entrepreneurs, to keep on going. For, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." African Proverb

Martha Wansbrough was a true heroine. Someone with a mighty force, who only cared about creating real change in the world. She was the incredible founder of tje Drive Forward Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that would care for and transform the lives of care leavers. One of those lives that Martha and her incredible Foundation transformed, was my own. I feel so privileged to have known her and known someone who was the definition of greatness. This interview was one of her last, and I am so grateful that she gave me the opportunity and honour to interview her. Martha is a legend and her legacy continues on. Thank you Martha.

Welcome to Season 3! I had the absolute honour of interviewing the one and only and remarkable, Renee Elliott! Born in the Deep South of America, Renée is a passionate pioneer and values-led entrepreneur.  She realised at 19 years old that conventional wisdom isn’t always smart and that a lot of people doing something doesn’t make it a good idea.  She began her search for better. In 1995, Renée founded Planet Organic, the UK’s first organic supermarket and now a successful multi-million pound brand. With her mission ‘To promote health in the community,’ she became a retail rebel and showed that values-led, commercially-driven business is Good Business. In 2017, Renée co-founded a second wellbeing business, Beluga Bean, a wellbeing enterprise pioneering new strategies that empower you to work better and live better. And now Renee shares her story, her wisdom, and her life-changing advice, in this powerful episode. So, get ready to become enlightened and get ready to become, truly inspired. Joy
