We also have a chat about the Anthology as a whole and the newly refreshed documentary series. A huge thank you to all our subscribers for all their support over this series. We'll be back with an xmas spesh very soon.

Our bonus pod for October is a highly enjoyable chat about the 1994 film, Backbeat, directed by Iain Softley. If you've not seen it, we recommend seeking it out before listening, but it's perhaps the strongest Beatle-based film (so far), and brilliantly encapsulates the feral madness of the Hamberg years. Normal YOPB service will resume next week, so keep an eye on your feeds. Thanks as always for supporting the pod and for God's sake please KBO.

It's bonus podcast time, and this month, we take a look at George's album, Extra Texture. Released in 1975, the album arrived shortly after the infamous Dark Horse tour and sees George attempt to win back the US audience with a soul-tinged LP featuring some world-class musicians and some interesting artwork. Enjoy! Thanks for your support and we'll be back soon with the second chunk of Series 4. KBO!

Greetings loyal subscribers. This month's bonus episode is all about Paul's McCartney Unplugged: The Official Bootleg. Released in 1991, this beautifully recorded limited edition album (limited to 1 million copies and now available on all streaming services) is a fascinating snapshot of where Paul was in the early 90s - featuring an eclectic setlist of covers and lesser played Beatles and solo songs. The playing is exceptional and everyone seems to be having a very lovely time indeed, so we thought we'd dig and out and have a deep dive into this not-so-well-hidden gem.

Stand-up comedian and comedy writer, Phil Wang joins us on the podcast to discuss his relationship with The Beatles. Phil tells us of his memories growing up listening to the band in a Beatles-obsessed household in Borneo, his unusual teenage music tastes, and taking his Dad to see Macca at the O2. This week's subscriber-only feature Pick A Song sees us dive into The White Album's Sexy Sadie. Get access by subscribing on Patreon or Apple Podcasts. In this month's subscriber bonus episode, we take an in-depth look at one of Jack's favs - it's George's 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th depending on how you count it) solo LP, Living in the Material World. Go get the guitar! Many, many thanks to all our subscribers who help us fund the making of the show. If you have a record you'd like us to discuss in a future bonus ep, please get in touch!

This week's guests is the very, very funny writer and internet comedy sensation, Ruth Husko, who joins us for a wonderful, and quite blue, chat all about Ringo.
