What to Do When Work Is Kicking You in the Balls

🎙 The calendar is full, the client dinners are stacking up, and the plan you wrote in September has quietly left the building.
You skipped a workout, then another one, and by Thursday it felt easier to call the whole week a loss.
Every year the fourth quarter does this to people who are otherwise on top of things.
What a week like that calls for is a smaller version of the plan.
This week Brian shares what he tells clients when work gets unpredictable, starting with a rule he uses constantly: you can't remove the bar, you have to lower it. Four workouts become two, 60 minutes becomes 20, and the home-cooked meals you love become something fast, convenient, and still on plan.
He also walks through the calendar audit, the default meals he gives clients before they're starving, and the rule that got him back on track after a 12-day baseball trip to Florida and a lot of late nights.
The part that surprises most people is how little it takes, because everything above zero compounds.
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why you can't remove the bar, you have to lower it, and what four workouts becoming two looks like in a real week
✅ The minimum effective dose, and why a short walk and a few basic movements beat doing nothing
✅ Why Brian adjusts the dose with clients instead of letting a brutal week turn into an abandoned plan
✅ The default meals to decide on before you're starving, including the Chipotle order Brian would have your assistant place, mild salsa and all
✅ Why you can stress eat grilled chicken, stress go for a walk, or stress have a conversation with your wife
✅ The calendar audit: remove the least important event and show up for 45 minutes instead of three hours
✅ How the 12:14 lunch decision plays out at every desk, and what the mutual fund wholesaler has to do with it
✅ The one rule Brian used to get back on track after a 12-day trip: collapse the transition time
✅ The never-miss-two-in-a-row rule from Atomic Habits, and why even 50% consistency puts you ahead of most operators
✅ Why waiting for work to slow down is the plan most likely to fail, and why it only gets busier from here
✅ Brian's confession from 20 years in a Wall Street seat he blamed for everything, and how he changed his life without leaving it
✅ A question for every all-or-nothing guy: how often can you actually be all?
A plan that only works in a perfect week is built for a week you rarely get. Build the version that survives the one you actually have.
Everything above zero compounds.

A 30-Pound Cut That Fit the Life You Live - Sal's Story
2026/10/12
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You play golf, you go to the client dinners, you take the vacations, and you've assumed the next 20 pounds would cost you all of it.
You train, you eat pretty well, and you've told yourself you're doing most things right.
What was missing was a plan built for the life you already live.
This conversation first ran on Coach's Corner, the private podcast Brian records for his clients, and now it's here for everyone.
Brian sits down with Sal, a Wall Street veteran, former wrestler, and disciplined guy who spent a year working hard without moving the needle before he picked up the phone.
Sal is down about 30 pounds since April, and he says it was the easiest cut of his life. He also kept the golf, the member-guests, and the dinners with friends.
Brian asks him the question he gets from every desk guy: how much of this only works because Sal is between jobs right now?
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why a lifelong wrestler who has cut weight his whole career calls this the easiest cut he has ever done
✅ The smirk at a California resort that Sal never forgot, and the phone call that followed
✅ How walking, something Sal always wrote off, turned out to be his biggest change, and what going from 10,000 to 15,000 steps did
✅ The calorie budget: why Sal manages his calories the way he manages a business
✅ The 10 to 15 minutes every Sunday night that set up his whole week
✅ Why two good meals out of three counts as a win
✅ How going over budget one day and under the next kept the plan from falling apart
✅ Why nobody is judging your third tequila soda, and what they will notice instead
✅ The habits that looked healthy and weren't working: the grazing, the long Tabata sessions, and the breakfast that broke the budget
✅ A food logging streak north of 700 days, and the buddies trip that interrupted it
✅ Sal's own account of what changed beyond the scale, from his sleep to how he shows up for his family
✅ The honest conversation about being between jobs, and how the same approach holds up with a packed calendar of client dinners
A better plan can sit right inside the life you already have, golf, dinners, and member-guests included.
"I feel like I'll never go back."

You're Closer Than You Think
2026/10/05
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You eat pretty good. You train. You're not throwing weekends away.
And you still don't look like you think you should.
No one's worried about you. Your blood work is fine. But you took your shirt off in August and did the math in your head, and it didn't add up.
The problem is not effort. The problem is a handful of small decisions you repeat every single day without realizing it.
This week Brian goes back to a concept he introduced earlier this season, the barbell approach, and uses it to explain why so many high performers are doing 80 to 90% of the work right and still can't close the last 10 to 20%.
He walks through the actual, specific, unglamorous mistakes that quietly compound against people who are already trying hard: the wrong steak at dinner, the skipped breakfast that shows up as a 9pm raid on the pantry, the "two drinks" that are really five.
None of it is catastrophic on its own. That's exactly why it's been invisible to you.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ The barbell approach, and why balance belongs in your daily decisions, not your weekends
✅ Why information isn't the problem for most of Brian's clients, implementation is
✅ "You don't have a discipline problem, you have a systems problem," and what that actually means at 9pm in your kitchen
✅ Why Brian says the guys who come into his program are usually not doing everything wrong
✅ The specific, easy-to-miss mistakes stacking up in a normal "pretty healthy" day: olive oil, steak choice, skipped breakfast, kids' leftovers, drinks that aren't really just two
✅ Why training harder is usually the wrong lever, and what actually drives 90% of the result instead
✅ The weekend pattern that quietly undoes a strong Monday through Thursday
✅ Why Brian says you can't just put a needle in your body and expect elite results, and where TRT and peptides actually fit into a real program
✅ What Brian means when he calls these mistakes "silent killers," and how thousands of food logs taught him to see them
✅ Why the guy who's 15 or 20 pounds off is actually harder to coach than the guy who's 50 pounds off
✅ A preview of next week's episode with client Sal, and how his story continues the thread from Joe's episode this season
✅ Why closing the gap isn't about multiplying your effort
You don't need to overhaul your life. You need to find the 10 or 20% you can't see on your own.
You're closer than you think you are.

What Actually Happens When You Hire Me
2026/09/28
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You've heard me talk about coaching for months.
Maybe you've wondered what a program like mine actually looks like day to day.
Not the sales pitch version. The real one.
You're not buying a meal plan. You're installing a system.
This week Brian walks through exactly what happens when someone hires him, starting with the same question a good doctor asks before writing a prescription: what's actually going on with you first.
From there it's the GPS analogy he uses with every client, the daily routine most people never see, and the real answer to why some clients stay for three years while his actual goal is to make himself unnecessary.
If you've ever wondered what's on the other side of hiring a coach like this, here's the honest version.
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why you're not buying a meal plan or a workout program, you're installing an operating system
✅ The exact questions Brian asks before he prescribes anything, and why he diagnoses first like a doctor would
✅ The GPS analogy Brian uses with every new client, and why "people lie, numbers don't"
✅ The real coaching adjustment Brian made for a client eating four eggs a day in a fat loss phase
✅ Why "foundations are universal, implementation is not," and what that actually means week to week
✅ Why Brian says you're paying more for a trainer who sees you three times a week than for a coach who sees your whole life
✅ The real reason once-a-week nutrition coaching fails: you don't struggle during the appointment, you struggle Tuesday night at the steakhouse
✅ What Brian actually does every single morning before he even finishes his coffee
✅ Why bad weeks get a simpler plan, not a bigger one, and why most coaching programs get this backwards
✅ The bond-trader analogy Brian uses to explain how his coaching model actually works
✅ The real goal of the program, and why it isn't to keep you as a client forever
✅ Why some clients stay for three years, and why that's not a bad thing
You don't need more information. You need someone who's already lived your life running the system with you.
My goal is that you fire me.

Proximity Is Power: Why Your Environment Shapes Your Health
2026/09/21
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 It's Monday morning. You're driving to work.
If you had the free option right now, would you turn the car around?
Probably not. But you'd want to.
That's not weak. That's your environment talking.
This week Brian breaks down why willpower and discipline get way too much credit, and what actually determines your behavior week to week: the standard of the people you spend the most time with.
He pulls in an Ed Mylett quote on becoming congruent with whoever's in the room, real updates on clients Joe, Jason, and Scott, and his own "riding shotgun" analogy for exactly what a coach can and can't do for you.
You don't need more discipline. You need a better room.
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why willpower and discipline are "subs off the bench," not your starters
✅ The real reason it's so much harder to behave above the standard of your environment than below it
✅ Ed Mylett's quote on becoming congruent with the people you spend the most time with, and what it means for your career and your health
✅ The "proximity is power" principle, and why moving to New York, Nashville, or Silicon Valley works the same way for your body
✅ Why standards are contagious, so are excuses, and how to tell which one you're catching
✅ The exact four-part accountability system that got a client down 8-9 pounds in two weeks
✅ Why Brian says he's "riding shotgun," not driving, in every client relationship
✅ The "but statement" that's quietly justifying your worst habits
✅ Why community-based fitness programs are actually worse for body composition, and why Brian runs them anyway
✅ Brian's own honest confession about what he still wants more of in his marriage
✅ The Monday morning test: would you actually turn the car around if you could?
✅ Why the fastest way to raise your standards is to change the room, not the goal
Your environment isn't neutral. It's already deciding things for you.
You don't rise to your goals. You fall to your standards.

How to Go From Pretty Good to Great - Joe's story
2026/09/14
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You're not out of shape. Nobody's worried about you.
You look fine in a polo. Your blood work is fine. Your marriage is fine.
But you know there's another gear in there you haven't found yet.
Pretty good is quiet. That's what makes it dangerous.
This week Brian sits down with Joe, a client and financial professional with six kids ranging from two to 26, who spent a year with a different coach making basically no progress before something finally clicked. Brian compares real coaching to being a golf coach: you can hear ten reasons why your swing is off, but it's the one person who says the right thing at the right time that actually changes anything.
Joe wasn't a mess. He was 205 pounds, still working out, still showing up. He just knew he was operating at about 85%, and he couldn't figure out how to close the gap on his own.
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why "pretty good" is quietly the hardest place to coach someone out of
✅ The exact line that finally got through to Joe, and why it worked when nothing else had
✅ Why Joe fired his first coach after a year of no real progress, and what he did differently the second time around
✅ The three small tweaks that dropped 10 pounds off an already-lean 56-year-old in a month
✅ Why Brian doesn't run this like a bodybuilding program, even for guys chasing real physique changes
✅ The Sisyphus problem: why so many high achievers are great Monday through Friday and sabotage themselves every weekend
✅ What Brian means when he says the real unlock isn't a diet, it's an identity shift
✅ The ripple effect nobody expects: how one guy's results got his wife, sister, and 84-year-old mother asking about protein
✅ Brian's own confession about who he used to be before any of this
✅ Why six kids ranging from two to 26 didn't stop Joe, and may have been part of what pushed him
✅ The real numbers: what actually changed on the scale, and why the bigger change wasn't the number at all
✅ Grab Brian's case study breakdown of a client's transformation in the show notes below
You don't need a new body. You need a new identity in the same one.
The unlock is an identity shift.

Agency: Why You Have More Control Than You Think
2026/09/07
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You told your wife you'd be home from golf in four hours.
Six hours, three vodkas, and one 90-minute nap later, you're explaining yourself again.
You didn't lack willpower. You just never made a plan.
The problem isn't your environment. It's that you stopped deciding before you ever got there.
This week Brian breaks down agency, the idea that you have far more control over your choices than your environment, your circumstances, or your excuses would have you believe. Not in the abstract, motivational-poster sense. In the specific, everyday moments where you quietly hand your choices over to whoever's in the room with you.
From the donuts in the break room to the drinks on the plane to the pizza your kids ordered, Brian walks through exactly where he sees people give their agency away, and the mental trick he uses himself to take it back.
In This Episode We Cover:
✅ Why blaming your environment is costing you more than you think, and what to do about it instead
✅ The exact question Brian asks himself before he ever touches a second Oreo
✅ Why "I'm a stress eater" doesn't actually hold up, and what's really going on when you reach for the pack of Oreos
✅ The two-page document Brian gives every client before a business trip, and why it changes the outcome before the trip even starts
✅ How Brian got into the best shape of his adult life in the exact same environment he used to blame for being out of shape
✅ Why saying no to a free drink on a plane is easier than you think once you know the actual trick
✅ Why Brian tells his kids "I don't give a shit what you want," and why it's not as harsh as it sounds
✅ The Susan-and-Karen office donut rule, and why "no thank you" is a complete sentence
✅ What four Advil, two vodkas, and a bag of ice on his knees taught Brian about self-control that no diet ever did
✅ The "plan for the plan" trick Brian uses to survive a full day of golf and cocktails without blowing up his week
✅ Why the hotel gym was never actually the problem
✅ The two-word mantra Brian repeats to himself every time he's tempted to overdo it
You don't need a better environment. You don't need more willpower.
You need to notice the moment you're handing your choice away, and take it back.
That's not me.

Fast Fuel: What I Eat to Stay on Track When I Don't Have Time to Cook
2026/08/31
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You walk in the door. Nothing's ready. You're on your own for dinner.
So you order Chinese. Or pizza.
The problem isn't that you don't have time to cook. It's that you don't have anything ready to grab when you don't.
This week Brian goes through his actual fast fuel list, the protein shakes, bars, wraps, and snacks he keeps on hand so a bad night never turns into a bad decision. Not a generic grocery list, real brands, real numbers, real verdicts on what's actually worth it.
Because the guys who stay consistent aren't more disciplined. They just never run out of good options.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why the "I don't have time to meal prep" excuse is keeping you stuck, and the actual mindset shift that fixes it
✅ Brian's "opening up your own 7-Eleven" concept, and how to turn your desk drawer into a convenience store
✅ The exact ready-to-drink protein shakes Brian ranks by calories and protein, and which one wins
✅ Why his go-to Greek yogurt hits 15 grams of protein for only 90 calories
✅ The protein bar breakdown: which bars are actually worth it, and why the "healthiest" one on the shelf isn't
✅ Why fruit is one of the most underrated fast-fuel carb sources, and the TSA story that proves it
✅ The psychology behind mindless snacking, and how a handful of nuts turns into 600+ calories without you noticing
✅ Brian's go-to deli meat and cheese wrap, ready in under two minutes
✅ The two proteins Brian always keeps in his fridge for a Tuesday-night emergency
✅ How Brian still has dessert every single day without it wrecking his progress
✅ Why organic and grass-fed food probably isn't what's holding your results back, a callback to last week
You don't need more discipline. You don't need a better meal prep Sunday.
You need the right stuff within arm's reach so the excuse never gets the chance to show up.
Availability is your best ability.

It's Healthy, BUT...
2026/08/24
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You eat clean most days. You hit your steps. You wear the ring that tracks your sleep and your recovery.
And you still don't look like any of it is working.
The problem isn't effort. It's that "healthy" and "effective" aren't the same word.
This week Brian is back from a 10-day trip and runs through the habits people mistake for progress: cardio, supplements, wearables, packaged "healthy" food, 10,000 steps, gluten-free products, fasting, protein, organic and grass-fed food, cold plunges and sauna.
Not a list of what's bad for you. A breakdown of which of your habits are actually doing something and which ones are just marketed like they are.
Because you can do a dozen healthy things a week and still not see one of them in the mirror.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why intense cardio isn't the most effective tool for changing how you look, and what actually is
✅ The acai bowl and gym smoothie trap, and the real calorie count hiding in something marketed as "healthy"
✅ Why supplements and wearables are smaller rocks than most people treat them as
✅ Why Brian doesn't care what your Whoop or Oura score says, and what he checks instead
✅ The granola bag Brian measured out on camera, and the actual number he found
✅ Why olive oil, nut butters, and avocados are healthy and still not helping you lose fat
✅ What bodybuilders actually do differently, and the one principle worth stealing from them
✅ The real research behind 10,000 steps, and exactly where the benefit stops
✅ Why most gluten-free products are marketing, not nutrition, unless you're actually sensitive to it
✅ Why fasting is doing more harm than good for a lot of the people using it
✅ Brian's own confession about the protein targets he gives his clients
✅ Why organic, grass-fed, and pasture-raised food probably isn't what's holding your results back
You don't need a new supplement, a new wearable, or a stricter version of clean eating.
You need to know which of your "healthy" habits are actually working and which ones just feel like they are.
"Healthy" and "working" are not the same word.

How a Busy Executive Should Actually Train
2026/08/17
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You lift when you can. You do a class when you can't. Maybe you ran a few miles this week too.
And you still don't look any different than you did a year ago.
Most guys chasing that don't have a motivation problem. They have a program that was never built to change their body in the first place.
There's a difference between a workout and training. Most people have never actually done the second one.
This week Brian extends last week's ranking into the gym, CrossFit, HIIT, HIROX, Orange Theory, F45, straight lifting, all of it.
Not as a generic pros-and-cons list. As what actually moves the needle for a guy with a real job, a real schedule, and a real aesthetic goal he probably won't admit to out loud.
Because showing up sweaty and gassed feels like progress. That feeling and an actual result aren't always the same thing.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why "workout" and "training" aren't the same word, and why the difference actually matters
✅ Why aesthetics is the real goal for most guys, even when nobody says it out loud
✅ The lifting mistake that keeps people's bodies exactly the same, year after year
✅ Why cardio ranks below strength, walking, and nutrition for body composition, and the calorie math that proves it
✅ Brian's honest take on CrossFit, what he likes about it and what he doesn't
✅ Why HIIT is great for your schedule and bad for the way you actually want to look
✅ The truth about HIROX, Orange Theory, Barry's, and F45, and where each one actually fits into a real program
✅ How to get any class or gym to work around your injuries or limitations, and why most of them say yes
✅ What real failure looks like in the gym, and why most people have never actually trained to it
✅ Brian's own gym story about the day he realized he had six extra reps he wasn't using
You don't need a new class, a new modality, or a new 6am group to join.
You need to know the difference between what makes you feel like you trained and what actually changes your body.
Feeling wrecked isn't the same as making progress.

I Ranked Every Diet You Keep Asking About (Most of Them Suck)

🎙 You've done keto. You've done carnivore. You've tried intermittent fasting. You've done Whole30, and maybe a juice cleanse when you were feeling ambitious.
And you still don't know which one was actually worth your time.
All diets work. Almost none of them are worth your time.
In this episode, Brian ranks the diets and supplements his readers keep asking him about, keto, carnivore, intermittent fasting, Whole30, Paleo, Mediterranean, vegan, juice cleanses, and the entire supplement aisle.
Not with a hedge. With an actual verdict on each one, and the specific reason it works or doesn't for someone with a real job, real client dinners, and a real inbox.
Because there's a difference between a diet that can work and a diet that'll actually work for you.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why Brian thinks keto and carnivore both "suck," even though they work
✅ The real reason cutting carbs helps you lose weight, and it's not the carbs
✅ Why intermittent fasting does more harm than good for busy professionals, in Brian's own words
✅ The real-world office scene that explains why fasting plans fall apart by 11am, donuts and all
✅ Brian's actual take on Whole30, Paleo, and the Mediterranean diet, and where he thinks they go too far
✅ The traffic light analogy Brian uses with clients, and why the yellow light lasts 20 minutes
✅ Why vegan diets aren't a "superior" diet, and the one thing most vegan eaters get wrong
✅ Brian's blunt take on juice cleanses and detoxes
✅ The only two supplements Brian says are close to mandatory
✅ Why Brian tells you the truth about AG1 even though it sponsors the podcast
✅ What to actually do about BCAAs, pre-workouts, fat burners, and testosterone boosters
✅ Why training got bumped to next week, and what's coming instead
Most of what gets marketed to you as a breakthrough is just restriction wearing a costume.
Once you see that, ranking the rest gets a lot easier.
All diets work. Most of them still suck.

🎙 Every year the same thing happens.
You go on vacation. You sleep better. You move more. You connect with your family. You read. You breathe. You feel like a different person.
And then you go back to the office and within two weeks it's like none of it happened.
Brian calls this two weeker season. And in this episode he breaks down what the forced two week break on Wall Street taught him about how to actually live. Not just on vacation. All year.
Because the things you do on vacation are not impossible when you go back to work.
You just stop believing they are.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ What the mandatory two weeker on Wall Street actually was and why it existed
✅ Why Brian thought the trading desk would fall apart without him and what actually happened
✅ How stepping away from the grind reveals the b******t belief that there is not enough time
✅ Why the things you do on vacation feel impossible at home and why that is a lie you tell yourself
✅ How to use August as separation season even if you are not going on vacation
✅ Why scheduling time for yourself is not optional and what happens when you keep lying about it
✅ The doorstep analogy and why the biggest problems in your life do not show up suddenly
✅ What Brian's wife actually said when he told her he provided everything
✅ Why you end up doing dry January every year and what to do differently this time
✅ How vacation creates a blueprint for the rest of your year if you pay attention to it
✅ Why being able to do it once means you can do it any other time
✅ What nothing changes if nothing changes actually means for the next four months of your life
You already know what a better version of your life feels like.
You just lived it for a week or two.
This episode is about not letting it disappear when you get home.

🎙 Jason is a 41 year old financial advisor living in Northwest Montana.
In March of this year he was at 243 pounds. He had tried carnivore. He had tried Whole30. He had stopped drinking for two and a half months. He had done jiu-jitsu three days a week.
And every single time, life happened and it built right back up.
Three months later he is at 205 pounds. He had double smash burgers last week. He went on a boat. He had seltzers. He hosted his cousins. He did three business trips. His aunt passed away and he had to travel last minute.
And he kept going anyway.
In this episode Brian sits down with Jason to break down exactly what changed, what clicked, and why this time was different.
This is what 38 pounds in three months actually looks like from the inside.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why Jason kept starting over for years despite knowing exactly what to do
✅ The moment he shook his head at the scale and decided enough was enough
✅ Why a financial advisor who builds plans for a living couldn't build one for his health
✅ What Jason means when he says the obstacle was never information, it was execution
✅ The specific things that clicked immediately when he started the program
✅ Why moving his cell phone was one of the biggest game changers of the whole journey
✅ How Jason handled business trips, family visits, boat days, and smash burgers without falling off
✅ The barbell strategy Jason used to execute on the boring days so the fun days didn't derail him
✅ How trying to lead by example for his son became one of his biggest motivators
✅ The evolution from "who needs a six pack, I got a pony keg" to genuinely wanting to see his abs at 41
✅ Why Jason says he is arguably in the best shape of his adult life after three months
You do not have an information problem.
You have an execution problem.
Jason had the same one. Here is how he solved it.

The Food Pyramid Nobody Showed You
2026/07/20
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 You have tried the diets.
You have counted the macros. You have gone organic. You have done the intermittent fasting. You have taken the supplements.
And you are still not where you want to be.
The problem is not effort. The problem is order.
In this episode Brian breaks down the Success Lift nutrition pyramid. The hierarchy that actually determines whether your plan works or falls apart the moment life gets busy.
Most people are focused on the top of the pyramid. Brian is going to show you why that is exactly backwards.
And why adherence is the only foundation that actually holds.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why most people are stepping over quarters to pick up pennies with their nutrition
✅ The single most important factor in any nutrition plan and why nobody talks about it
✅ Why the perfect plan is completely worthless if you cannot stick to it
✅ The real hierarchy of nutrition from the foundation up
✅ Why total calories matter more than food quality and what that actually means
✅ The protein times 10 trick for knowing if something is an efficient protein source
✅ How much protein you actually need and when to adjust that number
✅ Why food quality matters but not for the reasons most people think
✅ What single ingredient foods actually are and why they should make up most of your diet
✅ Why timing, fasting, and organic food sit at the very top of the pyramid for a reason
✅ The 20 minute walk that beats the CrossFit gym seven days a week for someone starting from zero
✅ Why calories in and calories out is still the only thing that determines what the scale does
You are not missing information.
You are missing the right order.
This episode gives you the pyramid.

Travel Agent vs Tour Guide
2026/07/13
✅ Get Daily Motivational Emails from Brian https://thesuccesslift.com/join
🎙 Brian just got back from three weeks on the road with his son.
Showcases, tournaments, hotel gyms, airport meals, client dinners he couldn't control, and nights where he had no idea what he actually ate.
And he tracked every single day anyway.
In this episode Brian breaks down the difference between a travel agent and a tour guide. And why it matters more than most people realize when it comes to choosing who helps you get results.
A travel agent hands you a plan and sends you off. A tour guide has already walked the road. They know the hard stretches. They know what to do when things go sideways.
Brian is a tour guide. And this episode shows exactly what that looks like.
In This Episode, We Cover:
✅ Why your problems are unique to you but generic to everyone around you
✅ The real difference between a travel agent and a tour guide and which one most coaches actually are
✅ Why Brian has tracked his food for 625 straight days and what happened to the streak before that
✅ How Brian approaches nutrition on the road when he has no control over what he is eating
✅ Why he uses his clients as accountability partners just as much as they use him
✅ What it actually means to ride shotgun in someone's life versus handing them a plan
✅ Why a coach who hasn't lived your life can only help you in theory
✅ The club soda trick that makes navigating client dinners easier than most coaches will tell you
✅ Three unsolicited client messages Brian received recently and what they reveal about the program
✅ Why the days are going to pass regardless and the only question is what you do with them
You do not need a perfect environment to get results.
You need someone who has already navigated the imperfect one.
That is the difference between a travel agent and a tour guide.
