Casino Royale: We Don't Know Poker!
2026/10/17
The names are, Erin and Brennan, Brennan and Erin. We drink our Vesper martinis and hope that they aren't poisoned by. . .  MADS MIKKELSEN!! (He's so Danish hot). We are talking about possibly the best Bond movie ever made: Casino Royale. The movie walks back the character from the gimmicky joke it had become over the decades and grounds him in a new sense of reality. No more missiles in car roofs, stealth cars in the snow, or conveniently leveled wire cutters in the brand cap. That being said, we still have blood tears, quippy one-liners, and beautiful women. Now with personalities and character development! Eva Green is the greatest Bond girl, and we truly believe that James would fall in love with her. But also, we fell in love with Daniel Craig the moment he sauntered out of the waves. Woof.
Robin Hood: Men In Tights
2026/10/12
Hear Ye, Void! We bring you the tale of Robin Hood and his Merry Men in this Mel Brooks production that is both honorable and ridiculous! We follow Cary Elwes as the best cast Robin/Erol Flynn of the 20th century, while he battles against home repossession, chastity belts, and STEALTH CATAPULTS!!! Of course our hosts are more than eager to discuss the historical relevance of the story, but mostly they laugh about the return of the Hangman, exit signs in castles, medieval jacuzzies, and of course, tights. TIGHT tights.
Snow White and the Huntsman: HER HAIR IS BROWN!!!
2026/10/05
Good morrow, Void! We discuss Snow White and the Huntsman, the sudden and unexplained attempt by Universal Studios to reimagine Snow White as Lord of the Rings with a dash of Game of Thrones. There are no names mentioned in this movie, a concept our hosts regularly struggled with. We discuss pants, magpies, and ripping off Princess Mononoke. We're really just here to watch Charlize Theron who is without a doubt the only fairest of them all, sorry Kristen. It's not her fault, but who thought she was fairer than Dior's cover model? We talked about amazing art direction, a story line that had all the workings of being good but no editing, and ultimately the worst love triangle we've ever seen. But don't worry! There are horses and castles in this movie, and knowing our hosts, they get discussed at length and in detail. Was this a good movie? No, but it wasn't that bad either. Queue Charlize crawling out of goop.
The Iron Giant: I AM SUPERMAN!!
2026/09/26
Greetings, Void! We felt that last week was a little heavy, so we decided to go with a childhood favorite: The Iron Giant! Did it make Erin cry? Yes! This underrated film is filled with all the things you love from a classic Pixar story. The moral of the story: you are who you choose to be, and I choose to be an emotional wreck! It's Brad Bird's audition film, Vin Diesel's greatest performance, and a story that is truly more profound in its narrative than most are aware. We talk about the trauma of Bambi, the iconography of War of the Worlds (the good one from the 60's, not that garbage with Tom Cruise), the government morality in ET, and the power of a convenient and well labeled off switch. We love this movie so much and cannot recommend it enough.
Zero Dark Thirty: This Podcast is Classified
2026/09/21
Greetings, Void. We're back (after a very very long break) to break down the war on terror, al Qaeda, and all those horrible things America did. You know, easy stuff! Podcasts that cover torture are famously light and fluffy in content! We discuss an incredible cast and filming crew to bring such a raw story to audiences. We follow Maya, a hunting dog that's caught a whiff, through decades worth of work tracking Usama bin Laden. We aren't actually sure which parts are real, but my goodness is this story intense. It's so intense in fact, that it's quite difficult to write a quippy intro! What we do agree on is that there are no good people in this movie. Everyone is complicated and willing to cross lines for a belief. Yay America!
O Brother, Where's the Odyssey??
2026/08/30
Howdy, Void! We're in the south this week, discussing O Brother Where Art Thou, thinking of Dolly, and wondering how the Cohen brothers thought this movie was related to the epic, the Odyssey? Is it about faith, fate, or fortune? We're honestly not sure, but it's got a banger soundtrack. Erin gets another chance to talk about moonshine while Brennan shares that he was this close to being on the national news for all the wrong reasons. We really enjoyed the idea of Pete turning into a horny toad but wished that there was a little more justice for Penny. But let's all agree that George Nelson was honestly the worst.
Pirate Radio: Sexual Legend
2026/08/18
This week Erin and Brennan board Radio Rock to broadcast the greatest music of the 1960's, we're talking The Who, The Kinks, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones!!! And sometimes the Beach Boys. There is one entity that wants to thwart us.....THE GOVERNMENT! We discuss discovering yourself through sex, drugs and alcohol, recognizing the best days of your life, and trying to decipher Thick Kevin's charades. We have Kenneth Brannaugh trying to stamp out fun with the help of Twatt! (that's with two t's). While Bill Nighy is being the uncle we all wish we had (or maybe father), bankrolling a bunch of musical pirates in hopes of spreading the gospel of ROCK.  As Midnight Mark says, "How 'bout it then?"
World Cup 2026: ROW!
2026/08/09
Erin and Brennan put on their kits, kilts and kimonos to celebrate the 2026 World Cup. Brought to us by Fifa and blatant world corruption! Yay! This year we honor the dark horse teams, the biggest underdogs, and the most arrogant powerhouse teams. We tackle the politics of the game being held in Canada, USA, and Mexico, as well as the glorious plays we saw on the field. But it's not all football, we also discuss the huge amount of Ranch smuggled out of the country, the number of Mexican-Korean babies to be born, and our new mantra for life - No Scotland, No Party! We have red card controversies, too much Wonderwall, and a taxidermy raccoon holding a whisky bottle. Does everyone love Earling Haaland? Yes, we do!  Congrats to Spain!
Hellboy: Right Hand of Doom
2026/07/11
Welcome, Void! Erin and Brennan find a small red hell monkey with a HUGE. . . . hand! We watch as he grows to become Red, A.K.A. Hellboy. He fights Sammy, Raspy, Stabby, and SO many tentacles. We spent a lot of time discussing HP Lovecraft, hollow museum statues, and items of the erotic type. But it wouldn't be a podcast with Erin and Brennan if it didn't include ranting about practical effects, Russian history, Japanese history, and Doug Jones. This is a movie of campy lines, great puppets, and monsters getting punched in the face. What else could you want?
Heated Rivalry Part 2: All The Things He Said
2026/06/21
Erin and Brennan are going to the cottage and wishing that they could afford "cottages" like that! We are finishing off Pride Month with the culmination of an intense and sexy story which began in the alley outside an ice rink and is ending with SO MANY TEARS! Mostly from Brennan but Erin gets involved too. We talk about the importance of allies, queer representation, devastating monologues in russian, and stupid Canadian wolf birds! Let's be honest, the second half of this show broke the internet several times. Whether is was Scott coming out, jealousy on the dance floor, or Ilya doing his best to be best boyfriend for Shane's parents, we loved every minute of it.
Heated Rivalry Part 1: Communication is Sexy
2026/06/13
Erin and Brennan begin Pride Month with communication issues similar to Shane and Ilya: Erin's computer keeps breaking and Brennan only hears what he wants to hear. But besides our technical difficulties, can we just bask in the glow of this hotness? I mean, BUTTS FOR DAYS! But also, SO DEVISTATING! They didn't even KISS!!!!! Our main relationship is hot Russian bad-boy meats pure-hearted (Canadian) wunderkind, then mass miscommunication ensues. On the other hand, we have the Françios Arnaud, Erin's love since the naughtiest Pope, and Ki-P, who always adds an extra banana. Their relationship teaches us that Brennan gets hot for people who use "please." I said what I said.  (It's Pride Month, it's MY MONTH) - Brennan
Thor Ragnarok: Hammer of the Gods AHHHHHH
2026/05/23
We come from the land of ice and snow, where Thor is hawt and the lost things go! This week Erin and Brennan (siblings from work) drive the ships to new lands, away from Hela, while Thor and Loki seek to overcome their past to become the gods they were born to be. Along the way, we have Valkyrie, the hard drinking "Scrapper," Hulk + Bruce Banner as reigning Arena Grand Champion, and Topaz trying to get the Grand Master to melt everyone. This movie was a giant shift forward for Thor and Marvel, giving us laughs in lieu of the drama befitting a grand epic. This podcast has references to the Lord of the Rings, the modern reality of imperialistic conquests, and Thor was at one point turned into a frog! Don't worry, he got better. To top it all off, add a dash of Led Zeppelin and you have a fun ride.  VALHALLA, I AM COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kenobi Part 2: Hello There!
2026/05/10
Welcome back again again Void! This week we are completing our discussions on the Kenobi miniseries and are having a great time! It's got Kenobi, Kenobi swimming, Kenobi fighting, and GOD Kenobi? I mean, that's a LOT of boulders to throw at one guy, that one guy being Vader of course. Watch out Luke! It'll happen to you in 15 years or so! These three episodes are all about the relationship between Obi-wan and Vader, and Reva's choices when it comes to her definition of justice. It poses questions about who is "master" and how Leia became the rebel leader we know her to be. Also, did you know that Aunt Beru is a badass?  Also, Erin laughs at a dead youngling in stasis. We're concerned.  "Erin is dead, I AM WHAT REMAINS"
Kenobi Part 1: Jedi and a Half
2026/05/02
Happy Star Wars Month!!!! Our 3 Jedi Masters in exile have spent the last 10 years watching Luke run from his chores and we're pretty tired of it. A broken Obi-Wan Kenobi is called into the fray to tackle his greatest challenge: a small willful child (AKA Princess Leia). Meanwhile, the Inquisitors are struggling to find the last Jedi in the galaxy through layers of paint and prosthetics. Only one still frightens us, and curiously she only has her face contoured. Reeva (3rd Sister) has the drive and stubbornness of Lord Vader. We've got Flee as a kidnapper, Kumail as a jedi con artist, and the return of Hayden Christensen to spar against his old master and rake him over the coals. Goodness, that Sith is unforgiving!
Yellow Submarine: A-Blue-terate Them!!!
2026/03/29
Ahoy Maties! Cheerio, pip-pip, and all that! Welcome to the final week of Submarine month, where we're swapping nuclear missiles for the power of MUSIC!!! We face the Bonkers, Clowns, and Jack-the-Pinchers to bring LOVE, YES, and VERY FRIENDLY HANDSHAKES back to Pepperland. No Nazis here! Instead, we celebrate our father's birthday by having many different discussions about the Beatles, their involvement in this film, how the film makers chose to portray each member, and what kind of sheep they will one day grow into once they're 64. Honestly, we're surprised at the number of songs that the Beatles just "threw in" this movie that turned into total bangers! We also learned that Erin and Brennan have very confusing timelines for when Beatles died.  それでは皆さん御一緒に
