Episode 42: "The Girl in The Basement" 2021: A Ripped-From-the-Headlines True Crime Story

This one is both rough and extremely fascinating; Lifetime does an excellent job with this heavy task, and Sarah has a challenging time fixing all of her audio (don't worry, it's fixed).

Episode 41: Intervention Season 22, Episode 13 :Pam (2021) Featuring Betsy!!!!
2021/08/14
Join Sarah and Betsy as they navigate this dynamic episode that covers a lot of traumas (TRIGGER WARNING for drug use, verbal abuse, IV drug use, alcohol, and weed) and the dangerous dynamics of addicts becoming parents and leaning into generational addiction (as well as the dangers of alcohol and speed, for obvious reasons). From https://intervention-directory.com/ : Pamela Age: 36 Location: Montreal, Quebec Addiction: Alcohol, Speed Official Synopsis: When Pamela’s mother remarried, Pamela thought she’d finally regained the father figure she’d been missing for most of her life. But it was a short-lived dream as friction between Pamela and her stepfather forced her to leave the home in search of her long-lost father. Adding layers to Pamela’s plight, while living with her biological father she was further traumatized by exposure to his drug addiction. Surrounded by drugs and with no responsible adult to guide her, Pamela quickly turned to a life of partying and drugs. It wasn’t until Pamela had a son that she found purpose and sobriety. But because she had only a vague idea of what a stable family looked like, Pamela found motherhood a struggle and turned back to the one thing in her life that was consistent: alcohol and drugs. Now she’s estranged from her child, and her family fear that without a successful intervention, Pamela’s future is in serious doubt. What’s Memorable: How nice and accommodating her family is to her and how they really avoid the hard conversations. Like there are zero family fights in this whole episode, that’s unheard of!  Jesse’s focus on ending the multigenerational cycle of addiction & neglect with Pam’s own son seemed to be a super effective angle to use with her. Great follow up, so glad to hear voice healing once she got out of that life. Interventionist: Jesse Hanson Date Aired: June 7 2021  (Aired as Intervention Canada Season 5 Episode 5, on Oct 13, 2018) Follow Betsy at @Betskell on instagram!

Episode 39 *BONUS EPISODE* Intervention Season 22 Episode 29: Elann
2021/07/19
Some Bonus Intervention Content for my amazing listeners!!!! Trigger warning for alcohol abuse, sexual assault, and suicide. Please join Sarah in discussing this very uniquely heartbreaking and openly raw episode of Intervention; Instead of the anger and aggression we often view on the show, Elann portrays a great amount of hopelessness and despair.  This one is not graphic at all, it is simply emotionally triggering and sad, but it is a story that is worth being told, and this episode is dedicated to Elann, may she rest in peace.

Episode 37: Intervention Season 22 Episode 14: Kelsey (Part one of two)
2021/07/03
Sarah gets emotional and talkative during this extremely explosive and emotional episode of Intervention. The good news is, there are no needles involved, nor anything particularly "gross," so to speak, so the squeamish can listen with ease! But there's for sure a TRIGGER WARNING for all things sexual truama, drugs/alcohol, and violence.
