I Love God… So Why Am I Still Tempted? | Christian Temptation, Sin & Grace
2026/10/01
Can you genuinely love God and still experience temptation? In the first October episode of Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word, Kathambi gets personal about her own journey with anger, the shame that once made surrendering her life to Christ difficult, and what she is learning about calling upon God before weakness becomes a destructive response. Anchored in James 1:12–16, this conversation explores the difference between temptation and sin, conviction and condemnation, struggling with sin and deliberately making peace with it. Being born again doesn't mean pretending we have reached perfection. We are still becoming—continually dependent upon the mercy, grace and transforming work of God. When temptation comes, don't hide from God. Run toward Him. And sometimes the prayer you need is only three words: “Father, help me.” Happy Blessed Month ☺️
Before October Begins...Have You Thanked God For September? Ending the Month With Gratitude
2026/09/30
As September comes to an end and we prepare to enter the final three months of 2026, this episode of Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word invites us to stop before rushing into what's next. Anchored in Psalm 103:1–5 and supported by 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, we reflect on gratitude, remembering God's faithfulness, unanswered prayers, ordinary grace, and what it means to thank God even when everything hasn't gone according to plan. Kathambi also shares a brief update about the future of The Still Waters Podcast and Night of Encounter 2026: Kenya, hosted by Christ Formed Ministries on October 9th in Nairobi. Before October begins, take a moment to ask: What am I thanking God for? What did September teach me? What am I surrendering as I enter a new month? Before asking God for what's next, let's remember how far He has already brought us. Happy new month. 🤍
God, What Are You Doing While I Wait? | Wambui's Testimony of Faith & Waiting
2026/09/26
What do you do when you've prayed, fasted, cried and trusted God—and the answer still hasn't come? For almost three years, Wambui waited for an immigration decision in the UK. She watched others receive the very breakthroughs she was praying for and sometimes found herself asking, “Lord, when will it be my turn?” But when her answer finally came last week, she realized the waiting hadn't been empty. In this special episode of Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word, Wambui shares her testimony of faith, unanswered questions, unexpected opportunities and the “stones of remembrance” she collected along the way. Anchored in Joshua 4:1–7, this conversation is also for the person whose answer hasn't arrived yet. The testimony isn't always found only at the end of the waiting. Sometimes, there is already a testimony being written inside the waiting itself. God Bless You 🙌. 🎧 The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi Our stories begin the conversation. His Word guides us.
“I Told You in Confidence…” - When Christian Friendships, Gossip & Trust Collide
2026/09/24
“I told you because I needed help. So why is everyone talking about it?” Have you ever confided in a friend, only to hear your story repeated, exaggerated, or changed beyond recognition? In this episode of Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word, we talk about broken trust, the fear of asking for help, and the responsibility we carry when someone shares a private struggle with us. Drawing from Proverbs 11:13 and Galatians 6:1–2, Kathambi shares her journey of learning to trust again—and learning to become the kind of friend who protects others’ dignity, too. We cannot always control what others do with our story. But we can take responsibility for what we do with theirs. 💬 What has helped you recognize a trustworthy friendship—or become a more trustworthy friend yourself?
Born Again, but Still Struggling? Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word
2026/09/22
Does being born again mean we no longer struggle with temptation, forgiveness, fear, or living out what we believe? Welcome to Still Becoming: Our Stories, His Word, a new series on The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi. For the next few weeks, we're stepping away from our usual episode format to explore the everyday realities of following Jesus—including the questions we hesitate to ask and the struggles we sometimes find difficult to discuss openly. In this opening episode, we explore Philippians 1:3–11 and 1 John 1:8–9 to consider what it means to be honest about our struggles while continuing to grow in Christ. We don't need to pretend we've reached perfection. And we don't need to treat our struggles as a reason to stop pursuing a life that honours God. Have a question or a real-life situation you'd like us to explore through Scripture? Share a topic through the podcast's usual contact channels. You may leave out your name and identifying details. Please don't include private information about anyone else. Our stories begin the conversation. His Word guides us. God Bless You 🙌.
Come Away With Jesus | A Guided Christian Prayer for Rest & Renewal
2026/09/20
When life becomes busy and our hearts feel burdened, how do we make room to meet with God? In this Saturday Activation on The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi, we move beyond talking about personal fellowship with Jesus and take a few moments to put it into practice. Through Mark 6:30–32 and Psalm 62:5–8, we follow a simple guided prayer exercise: Come. Release. Receive. Bring yourself honestly before God, pour out what you've been carrying, and reflect on one faithful step you can take today. You don't need perfect words or an elaborate devotional routine. You can begin right where you are. “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” — Mark 6:31 NKJV A note to our listeners: Our Thursday Reflection was shared yesterday, Saturday, due to unavoidable circumstances, and this Saturday Activation follows later than our usual schedule. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay. Thank you for your patience and continued support. By God's grace, I remain committed to sharing our weekly episodes, even when circumstances affect their usual posting times. God Bless You Abundantly 💛
When Was the Last Time You Sat With Jesus? | Rediscovering the Secret Place
2026/09/19
When was the last time you sat with Jesus—and didn't need anything? Sometimes the things distracting us from God aren't necessarily bad things. They can be work, responsibility, ministry, serving others—even doing things for Jesus. In this Thursday Reflection on The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi, we reflect on Luke 10:38–42 and Mark 1:35 and ask whether our busyness has quietly begun replacing intimacy with God. Martha was serving Jesus. Mary was sitting with Him. And even Jesus intentionally withdrew from legitimate demands to spend time with the Father. Maybe today we don't need another sermon, reel or piece of Christian content. Maybe we simply need to come back and say: “Jesus, I'm here.” God Bless You 🙌.
Are We Following Jesus—or Just Consuming Christian Content? | Christian Discipleship
2026/09/15
Are we following Jesus—or have we become very good at consuming Christianity? We can watch sermons, save Scripture reels, listen to worship, follow Christian creators and consume hours of faith-based content—while quietly neglecting our own time with Jesus. In this Tuesday episode of The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi, we explore James 1:22–25 and John 15:4–5 to examine the difference between hearing truth and living it, consuming Christian content and actually abiding in Christ. Christian content can encourage us, teach us and point us toward Jesus. But it cannot pray for us, obey for us or follow Jesus for us. The question isn't only: What am I hearing? It's: What am I becoming? 🎧 New episodes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (Activation).
Pause. Examine. Replace | Taking Your Thoughts Captive in Real Life
2026/09/12
What do you actually do when a negative or destructive thought enters your mind? After a week of exploring Christian mental health, depression, emotions and taking thoughts captive, this Saturday Activation turns what we've learned into a simple practice: Pause. Examine. Replace. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 10:5 and our reflection on Psalm 42, we explore how to slow down before automatically believing a thought, examine the conclusions we're making, and replace distortion with truth. This isn't about pretending everything is fine. It's about learning to acknowledge genuine pain without allowing it to write the final verdict over our lives—and recognizing when we need to reach out for additional support. Pause. Examine. Replace. And when the battle is too heavy to carry alone, reach for help. God Bless You 🙌.
When Your Thoughts Feel True | Feelings Are Real—but Are They Always Reliable?
2026/09/10
What happens when a thought doesn't just sound true—but begins to feel true? In this Thursday Reflection, we continue our conversation on Christian mental health, depression, thoughts and emotional well-being through the honesty of Psalm 42:5 and the hope of 1 Peter 5:10. Together, we explore the difference between acknowledging what we genuinely feel and allowing those feelings to determine what is ultimately true about ourselves, God and our future. If your soul feels cast down today, you don't have to pretend everything is fine. But the darkness you're experiencing doesn't get to write the ending of your story. “Why are you cast down, O my soul?... Hope in God.” — Psalm 42:5 NKJV Your feelings are real. But they may not be telling you the whole story. God Bless You 🙌.
When Your Mind Becomes a Battlefield | Taking Every Thought Captive
2026/09/08
Not every thought that enters your mind deserves to become your truth. What does the Bible really mean when it tells us to take every thought captive? And how can we apply this truth when facing depression, fear, hopelessness, painful memories, intrusive thoughts, or uncertainty about the future? In this episode of The Still Waters Podcast with Kathambi, we explore 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 and the battle for our thoughts—learning how to examine what we believe without shaming those experiencing genuine mental-health struggles. We also talk about destructive coping, trauma, asking for help, seeking professional support, and bringing our thoughts into the light rather than suffering silently. Struggling does not make you a bad Christian, and asking for help is not defeat. A thought can testify without being allowed to judge. Not every thought deserves to become the verdict over your life. If you are struggling, you don't have to fight alone. ❤️ God Bless You 🙌
Live Ready | A Prayer for a Watchful Heart
2026/09/05
What does it actually mean to live ready? After a week of reflecting on the uncertainty of tomorrow, the return of Christ, and how we steward the time God has given us, today's Saturday Activation is an invitation to pause and pray. Together, we surrender what needs to be surrendered, confront what we've been postponing, pray for the people God has placed around us, and intercede for a hurting world. Readiness is not fear. It is staying close to Jesus, walking in obedience, loving intentionally, and remaining faithful with the time we've been given. “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” — Matthew 24:44 NKJV Lord, help us live ready. God Bless You 🙌.
While You Still Have Today | Stop Postponing What Matters
2026/09/03
What have you assigned to tomorrow that God may be asking you to deal with today? James reminds us that life is like a vapor, while Ephesians calls us to walk wisely and redeem the time we've been given. In this Thursday Reflection, we slow down to examine spiritual procrastination, obedience, forgiveness, relationships, sharing our faith, and what it really means to steward today well. You don't have to fix everything today. But maybe there is one thing you already know you shouldn't keep postponing. “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” — James 4:14 NKJV God Bless You 🙌.
Tomorrow Is Not Promised: Are You Ready?
2026/09/01
Tomorrow is not promised—but are we living ready today? In the wake of the devastating floods in Nepal, this episode reflects on the fragility of life, the days of Noah, and Jesus’ call to watch and be ready. What are we postponing because we assume we still have time? If Jesus returned today, would we be ready? And while we still have today, how can we help others encounter Christ? A reflective conversation on faith, eternity, spiritual readiness, repentance, obedience, and living each day with purpose. “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” — Matthew 24:44 NKJV God Bless You 🙌.
Prosper, But Guard Your Heart | Biblical Prosperity & Stewardship
2026/08/29
We want to prosper—but can our hearts handle the increase we're praying for? In this Saturday Activation, we bring our week on biblical prosperity, wealth, ambition and contentment into practical action and prayer. What has God already placed in your hands? How can you steward it better? And what should financial success never be allowed to cost you? Together, we pray for wisdom to build, discernment to avoid greed and dishonest gain, grace to remain content, and hearts that never forget God as our Source. Lord, prosper the work of our hands—but guard our hearts as You do. God Bless You 🙌.
