When they were reunited, Joseph did not take out revenge on his brothers. Rev. Janet says we should not repay evil with evil. He explains that Peter could not understand why Jesus would have to suffer and die on the cross and then be resurrected for our sins.  Peter was standing in Jesus’ path – focused on human not divine things. Jesus’ words to Peter and the disciples to pick up their crosses and follow Him call each of us to change the direction of our lives.  We should yield to God’s will instead of resisting Him.
