In this week's episode, “The God Who Satisfies,” Pastor Rob teaches from Psalm 63 and reminds us that our deepest longings were never meant to be satisfied by the things of this world. Wanting What Jesus Wants // Like & Subscribe Week 5
2026/06/02
Most people define freedom as the ability to do whatever they want. But what if our wants are part of the problem? The Apostle Paul says true freedom isn't found in following every impulse or desire that comes our way. Freedom is learning to want what Jesus wants. That's why Christianity is about so much more than behavior modification. Jesus didn't simply come to forgive our sins; He came to transform our hearts. He changes what we love, what we pursue, and ultimately what we desire. That's why following Jesus can sometimes feel like a battle. Part of us still wants the old way of life. Paul calls that "the flesh." But the Holy Spirit is at work within us, shaping us into people who increasingly love what is good, true, and life-giving. The goal of the Christian life isn't simply that we stop doing bad things. The goal is that our wants begin to change. This week, pay attention to what is leading you. Is it approval? Fear? Comfort? Appetite? Anger? Or is it the Holy Spirit? Each morning, begin your day with a simple prayer: "Jesus, help me want what You want today."Because of Jesus, you don't have to earn God's acceptance. You are already loved, already accepted, and already free. The Holy Spirit is now at work helping you become the person God has declared you to be.Praise God!

Am I Lovable? // Like & Subscribe Week 4
2026/05/19
One of the hardest questions people carry is this: “If people really knew me… would they still stay?” Most of us spend our lives trying to prove we’re lovable through performance, approval, success, or image. But Galatians 4 reminds us that the gospel does not begin with us becoming lovable enough for God. It begins with God setting His love on us through Jesus. In Christ, we are not merely tolerated. We are adopted. Paul’s use of adoption language in Galatians 4 would have shocked the Roman world. Adoption was not sentimental. It was legal, permanent, and identity-changing. An adopted son received the full rights, inheritance, and family name of the father. That means your standing before God is not fragile or probationary. You are not trying to earn your place at the table. Jesus already secured it through His life, death, and resurrection. The cross was not just about forgiveness. It was about belonging. This week, before your phone, email, schedule, or anxiety tells you who you are, begin each day by sitting with Galatians 4:6–7. Slow down long enough to let this truth reshape your heart: “I am no longer a slave, but God’s child.” Don’t just read it quickly. Pray through it. Repeat it. Let it become the loudest voice in your life this week. Because of Jesus, you do not have to earn God’s love or prove your worth. In Christ, you have already been welcomed into the family of God.

Unsubscribe from Performance // Like & Subscribe Week 3
2026/05/05
Every day, we’re counting on something to tell us we matter. For many of us, it’s performance—what we do, how we measure up, whether we’re getting it right. But what happens when what you’re counting on… fails? Paul’s words to the Galatians press right into that question. Because if your sense of worth depends on you, it will eventually collapse under the weight. In Galatians 3, Paul is stunned that the Galatians would move away from the gospel after experiencing it so clearly. They heard about Christ crucified, they received the Spirit, and yet they drifted back into trying to prove themselves. Why? Because performance feels controllable—even when it’s crushing. But Scripture is clear: we are not justified by what we do, but by faith in what Jesus has done. Even Abraham was counted righteous not because he performed, but because he believed. The deeper issue isn’t behavior—it’s what we’re counting on to make us count. This week, pay attention to where you feel the need to prove yourself. Where are you trying to earn what God has already given? Instead of striving, practice trusting. Let that be the place where you walk with Jesus. Because of Jesus, you are completely forgiven and fully pleasing to God—you don’t have to perform to make yourself count.

Most of us don’t wake up trying to replace the gospel, but we do it anyway. We measure ourselves, compare ourselves, and quietly ask, Am I enough? And when the answer feels uncertain, we either try to prove it or protect it. But the gospel offers something entirely different: a settled identity that doesn’t rise and fall with performance or approval. In Galatians 2, Paul exposes how easy it is to drift from grace into performance. Not by rejecting Jesus, but by subtly adding to Him. The issue isn’t whether we obey God, it’s whether we believe our obedience is what makes us accepted by God. Justification reminds us that our standing with God is not achieved, but declared, rooted entirely in what Jesus has already done. This week, pay attention to the moments where you feel pressure to prove yourself or fear losing approval. Instead of performing, pause and remind yourself what is already true in Christ. Let your identity shape your actions, not the other way around.Because of Jesus, your acceptance is not something you earn, it’s something you receive and live from.
