Dawn Circle
2026/07/27
In 2019, a group of strangers came together to help house a man named Don Lowe. For five years, they worked to ensure that Don had a roof over his head and no challenges--stray cats, inner-group conflict, and Don himself--kept them from helping him. Dawn Circle is a story about the peculiarities of trying to do something good, and the power of it.  ____ Thank you to Ginny, Dennis, Maureen, Dysa, June, and Valerie for sharing your stories. To see a picture of Don and read an obituary written by a staff writer at Real Change, visit this link: https://www.realchangenews.org/news/2025/10/10/remembering-don-lowe-story-radiating-compassion ____ Music is by Noah Kammer https://noahkammer.com/ Produced by Syd Walter https://www.storiesbysyd.com/

Unsure Pilot
2022/09/10
College is new territory, and so much is unknown. College is one of those things that everyone has talked about for years, and then it comes and everything hits you at once. The idea of needing to know everything, having to do everything, and be the person you want to become without even knowing who you are in the present. With this in mind, what comes now from Teen-y Pod is Unsure, a series about the unknowns and "I don’t knows” all within the context of College. Hosted by Syd Walter, a current college student and producer of Teen-y , Unsure will be a collage of storytelling, interviews, and pieces of connection for listeners.

Through Our Eyes- Episode 2
2021/05/22
"The effects of COVID on this generation (teenagers) have been so hard." Zoe's right.  Yet, we don't talk about it. The world hasn't acknowledged us, hasn't allowed space for our stories, and so today we set the stage for 3 teens to tell their stories, unapologetically. The moments of joy, alongside our struggles.  In the second episode of our two-part series, we explore the journey of the pandemic world, through the eyes of Mia Dabney, Zoe McDaniel, and Syd Walter.  Every story of the last 365 days is different, and the three of us don't speak for all teens. Yet, despite how different our stories may be, we all are humans who felt the weight of this time. And so that can bond us together.
