New Relationship Energy & A "Cancer Journey" - Type 2A Hodgkins Lymphoma
2022/06/27
If you can’t make cancer jokes when you have cancer, when can you? Well, apparently the answer is never. People don't respond well to cancer jokes, even when you're the one who has it. Still it doesn't hold Kelsey back from cracking the jokes. She was relinquishing control of her body physically, so she was going to hold onto the small amount of control she had over her mental state. This week Kelsey joins the fellas to walk them through her experience of type 2A Hodgkins Lymphoma. From losing her hair, eyebrows and even fingernails (yowza) to how it felt navigating cancer through a new relationship and more. Will Bieber Ever Be The Same Again?! - Feel Good Friday
2022/06/24
Bieber has Ramsay Hunt Syndrome which is something we covered back in January. It's scary stuff and we hope that it doesn't prevent him from singing, dancing and baking Bimbits for the rest of his life! Don't rub your eyes... Or if you do, don't go watch the MRI video of what it looks like when you rub your eyes. Alopecia is a tough go and there isn't enough access to medication that makes a difference! Brian wants to be VERY clear about his stance on CPR. Finally for this week's edition of WHAT THE HELLTH?! I just saved 15% on car insurance thanks to Geico. I also made 5 million dollars from suing Geico because some guy gave me HPV in the back of his car. Thanks, Geico! Join the post-episode conversation over on Discord! https://discord.gg/expeUDN

A.I. Will Be The End Of Us - Feel Good Friday
2022/06/17
Good news!! Jeremie no longer has to do his nebulizer! Now he's just a puffer boy. Cute. In other news, AI is possibly now sentient. Does this mean the end of mankind as we know it? I wish there was more to say about this week's episode... but really, there isn't. It's just about a puffer and AI... OH! AND horrifying baby MRIs. Happy Friday Y'all!

Canadian Mental Health Policy w/ Sally Guy - Director of Policy at Canadian Association of Social Workers
2022/06/15
Sally Guy is the Director of Policy, Canadian Association of Social Workers. She joins the fellas to break down some of the conversation had with the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions from a couple of weeks ago. Everything from the decriminalization of drugs, to social return on investment and more. Here’s the thing — a lack of adequate (let alone GOOD) social supports are a choice in a country like Canada. Strong social programs and funding like a basic income aren't the boogeyman — but rather just a [logical] extension of things we already have in place. This week Crystal chats with the fellas all about the disease they call fat and how Canada is incredibly far behind any viable treatments for the disease. A Cure For Cancer?! - Feel Good Friday
2022/06/10
Taylor has an itchy eye and scientists may have found a future cure to colorectal cancer! Boom! That's what FGF is all about. One lucky lady just received the very first 3-D printed ear implant which was made from her own cells. The world gets more future every day. An unfortunate story of a wheelchair user who was completely forgotten about and left on the plane on the runway at Heathrow. And a new movie out of Japan all about killing off the Japanese elderly is rocking the film world. The Mental Health Anguish of Escaping & Destroying the NXIVM Cult w/ Sarah Edmonson & Anthony Ames
2022/06/06
Sarah Edmonson and Anthony "Nippy" Ames are cult escapees and were the whistleblowers featured in the CBC podcast Uncover: Escaping NXIVM and The Vow, the critically acclaimed HBO documentary series on NXIVM. If you are still somehow unfamiliar, NXIVM was an American cult that dabbled in sexual slavery among a handful of other evil crimes. Sarah and Nippy played a major role in locking up NXIVM's creepy weirdo POS founder for 120 years. This week Sarah and Nippy sit down with the fellas to dive deep into their experience with escaping a cult, how it affected their mental health and relationship, along with tips for communicating with friends or family that might find themselves dealing with abusive power dynamics in their own life. Be sure to check out their podcast A Little Bit Culty where Sarah and Nippy aim to help people understand, heal from, and avoid abusive situations, one little red flag at a time. Don't Listen To Taylor: HELMETS SAVE LIVES! - Feel Good Friday
2022/06/03
This week the gang hear from a listener who did NOT have a very fun time with birth control. Speaking of birth control Taylor might get the snip to prevent a future baby. Speaking of babies here is a video of a baby giving CPR better than Brian can. Helmets save lives, regardless of whatever BS studies Taylor is reading. We cover a wild story about a doctor in Newfoundland who uses a janitor's 12-volt drill to drill a hole in a teenager's skull to save his life!! Dry drowning sounds like an absolute frickin' nightmare. Finally, we do a shallow dive into the world of Monkey Pox. Join the post-episode conversation over on Discord! https://discord.gg/expeUDN

A Plan for Canada's Mental Health w/ The Honourable Carolyn Bennett
2022/06/01
Today the fellas are joined by Canada's Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, Carolyn Bennett. We've seen so much progress on mental health education and shame reduction since the inception of Sickboy...yet it still seems like accessing care in the space of mental health is still very much behind other health sectors. The boys take the time to dig into Minister Bennett's new mandate and how the government plans to seek change in Canadian mental health and addictions.
