Jake "The Wizard" Tlapek on the fact that your marketing isn't broken, your message is
2026/09/22
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Jake "The Wizard" Tlapek.
Jake talks to us about how your marketing isn't broken, your message is.
Jake "The Wizard" Tlapek built and sold The Wizard Marketing, a marketing agency, growing it on the back of a 100,000-follower TikTok audience of small business owners.
The pattern he kept seeing: the businesses that broke out fixed their message, not their channels. One landscaping client went from $2M to $10M in three years on messaging alone. Same spend, same channels.
That became Eight Dominoes: A Messaging Framework That Compounds Into Awesome Clients. He now writes, teaches, consults and runs the Eight Dominoes community.

Peter Boolkah on The Hamster Wheel Trap®
2026/08/26
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Peter Boolkah.
Peter talks to us about The Hamster Wheel Trap®.
Peter Boolkah is an award-winning business coach, entrepreneur, author and keynote speaker who has spent more than two decades working alongside business owners around the world.
But his fascination with business has never really been about revenue for revenue's sake. It has been about a contradiction he kept seeing: people started businesses looking for freedom, worked incredibly hard to make them successful, and then discovered they had built something that couldn't function without them.
Peter calls this The Hamster Wheel Trap®.
That observation became the foundation of his book, Your Business Sucks – Build a Business That Works Without Destroying Your Life, in which he challenges founders to rethink what business success actually means. His belief is simple: being indispensable to your business isn't something to celebrate. The real achievement is building an organisation with the people, leadership and systems to thrive without you at the centre of everything.
Today, Peter is increasingly focused on taking that message beyond the coaching room through writing, podcasting and keynote speaking. His mission is to challenge the conventional obsession with growth and help entrepreneurs build businesses that create wealth, freedom and opportunity without consuming the lives of the people who created them.

Alex Brockway on running AI agents like a workforce
2026/08/18
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Alex Brockway.
Alex talks to us about running AI agents like a workforce.
Alex Brockway is the founder of AI Code That Works, where he teaches non-technical founders and operators how to ship real, production software with AI.
A lawyer by trade — not an engineer — Alex builds live SaaS products used by real businesses, and is currently building RevAStack in public: a platform that puts your brand on autopilot, producing and publishing your content end-to-end — video, images, posts, ads, and email — from one automated production system. It's being built entirely by teams of AI agents that write, review, and test code around the clock.
His core message: AI doesn't need you to be technical. It needs you to have a method.
He teaches that method — proven on his own shipped products first — through his community, courses, and build-in-public content.

Rita Rai on The Knowledge Gap
2026/08/15
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Rita Rai.
Rita talks to us about The Knowledge Gap - Exploring the space between what leaders know and what they need to know, and the conversations that close it.
Rita Rai is the founder of discussIt.co and a senior executive with deep roots in management consulting.
She's spent her career working with Fortune 500 leadership teams on strategic planning, operational improvement, digital transformation, and change management - the kind of work where the difference between a plan that sits on a shelf and one that transforms a business comes down to how well people connect, communicate, and share knowledge.

Janylène Turcotte on entrepreneurs exiting and search for identities
2026/08/11
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Janylène Turcotte.
Janylène talks to us about entrepreneurs exiting and search for identities.
Janylène Turcotte spent 25 years as a senior HR executive, the last stretch at Deloitte. She served as an integrator on several deals — inside the due diligence, close to the moment a business changes hands — guiding people and organizations through transition and transformation.
Then her own role ended — not on her terms. She walked out of that meeting feeling like she'd left a coat at the door. Over the emptying weeks that followed, she realized how much of who she thought she was had been the coat. The title. The brand. The identity she'd worn without noticing. She knows first-hand the particular silence of a calendar that suddenly clears.
That's the terrain she now walks with founders who are exiting their business.
Because when an entrepreneur sells the company they built, they're surrounded by people — finance, tax, lawyers, advisors — and every one of them has a stake in the outcome. Nobody in that room is there simply for them. Nobody's only job is to help them digest what it means to hand over the thing that's carried their identity for years — or to answer the question that lands the morning after the deal closes: who am I now, and what was all of this for?
Today Janylène is the founder of Hypnocoach, a clinical hypnotherapist and ICF-certified coach (ACC) with more than 1,500 sessions behind her. Trained in Rapid Transformational Therapy under Marisa Peer, she works underneath the strategy — with the beliefs and the meaning no spreadsheet in the process ever touches. Her method, Peel Back, Rewire, Rise, is built for exactly this: the identity shift a successful exit sets off, and the reinvention that has to follow it.
She's practical, not mystical. Warm, and direct. She earned a merit scholarship at HEC on her academic results and cut her teeth selling encyclopedias door to door — rigour and hustle in equal measure, and little patience for fluffy personal-development promises.
For the founder walking toward the exit, she's the one person in the process with no skin in the game, whose only job is to be there for them.

Dr. Theresa Pantanella on Marketing Misdiagnosis and Why Treating Symptoms Is Killing Your Business
2026/08/07
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Dr. Theresa Pantanella.
Dr. Theresa talks to us about Marketing Misdiagnosis: Why Treating Symptoms Is Killing Your Business (And the Systemic Cure).
Dr. Theresa Pantanella is Your Doctor of Marketing. She spent 24 years in healthcare as a doctoral-level occupational therapist, building a seven-clinic outpatient business in South Florida on a single service and scaling it into high six figures through pure operational systemization.
Today, she applies that exact same diagnostic rigor to business growth. Where most marketers treat surface-level symptoms, Theresa diagnoses the hidden operational breakdowns in a business's marketing and builds the AI-powered systems that permanently fix them. Her frameworks have generated over $13 million in revenue for clients ranging from doctoral experts to seven-figure enterprises.
She is the co-host of the No BS AI Summit, former president of NAWBO Fort Lauderdale, and her absolute best strategic breakthroughs still arrive mid-ocean swim, fueled by far too much coffee.

Aaron Hendon on how mindfulness and meditation are undervalued as the easiest path to performance, success, and happiness
2026/08/04
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Aaron Hendon.
Aaron talks to us about how mindfulness and meditation are undervalued as the easiest path to performance, success, and happiness.
Aaron Hendon is a keynote speaker, bestselling author, and real estate veteran turned mindfulness provocateur who has made it his mission to help people stop outsourcing their sanity to the market, their inbox, or their own over-caffeinated anxiety.
As the creator of The Mindful CEO and author of How to Live a Grateful Life in a Fckd Up World, Aaron blends 13 years of real estate experience with four decades of meditation and ontological leadership training to teach people how to sell more, lead better, and live saner—not through hacks or hustle porn, but through awareness, agency, and actual practice.
After moving to Seattle and building a top-producing real estate business—where his team consistently sold homes for 3–5% more than average and 27% faster—Aaron discovered a truth most sales pros conveniently ignore: productivity doesn't come from grinding harder; it comes from learning how not to fall apart. He spent years studying with mindfulness teachers, training hundreds of agents, and leading transformational courses before developing a practical, no-BS methodology that helps high-performing professionals operate with more clarity and less chaos.
Today, Aaron teaches leaders and sales organizations how to trade burnout for presence, and how to build businesses that don't require sacrificing their nervous systems. His clients describe him as equal parts Zen monk, Jewish dad, and high-performance coach—someone who can quote Alan Watts, call out your self-sabotage, and still get your deal closed by Friday.
Through his programs—including From Hustle to Flow: Sell More by Stressing Less and the Mindful CEO Mastermind—Aaron provides real-world tools grounded in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and contemplative practice. His work has helped agents 2–3x their production, dramatically reduce stress, and reconnect with the purpose that got them into business in the first place.
When he's not teaching, Aaron is writing, running mindfulness cohorts, leading gratitude trainings, and helping teams experience the kind of grounded presence that makes better decisions, better leaders, and—yes—better lives. His philosophy is simple: the world may be a mess, but your mind doesn't have to be.
Aaron lives on Vashon Island with his wife Kael, loves good bagels, and is committed to helping people experience genuine agency, one breath at a time.

Kelly A. Norton on Why Administrative Professionals Are the Biggest Untapped Opportunity in AI
2026/07/29
In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Kelly A. Norton.
Kelly talks to us about Why Administrative Professionals Are the Biggest Untapped Opportunity in AI.
Kelly A. Norton is an AI-enabled executive operations leader, international best-selling author of Silent Streets: A Visual Chronicle of the Las Vegas Shutdown, and founder of MonetizeU AI, a global learning community dedicated to helping Administrative Professionals harness the power of artificial intelligence to transform their careers.
With more than 15 years of experience supporting CEOs, boards, and executive leadership across Fortune 500 companies, startups, and high-growth organizations, Kelly has built a career on operational excellence, strategic execution, and creating systems that help leaders and organizations thrive. Having served as a C-Level Executive Assistant, Office Manager, and Chief of Staff, she understands firsthand the evolving demands of today's workplace and the critical role Administrative Professionals play in driving organizational success.
Recognizing that AI would fundamentally reshape the profession, Kelly founded MonetizeU AI to bridge the gap between emerging technology and real-world application. Her mission is simple: empower Administrative Professionals to work smarter, become more strategic, and future-proof their careers through practical AI education.
What makes Kelly's approach different is her focus on implementation over theory. Rather than simply teaching AI tools, she provides hands-on training, live workshops, operational workflows, prompt libraries, and automation strategies that professionals can immediately apply to their daily work. From Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to Claude, Gemini, and workflow automation, Kelly helps her community confidently embrace AI while maintaining the human skills that make exceptional executive support invaluable.
The response has been extraordinary. MonetizeU AI has grown into a thriving international community of Administrative Professionals, Executive Assistants, Chiefs of Staff, and operations leaders committed to learning, growing, and leading the future of work together.
Kelly is passionate about changing the narrative around administrative careers. She believes today's Administrative Professionals are not "just support" but strategic business partners who, when equipped with AI and operational expertise, become indispensable to their organizations.
Whether she's teaching live classes, developing AI-powered workflows, speaking on podcasts, or mentoring professionals around the world, Kelly's goal remains the same: to help people embrace change with confidence, unlock their potential, and create careers that are not only future-ready but future-leading.
