Seen, Heard, and Valued: How to Make People Feel Important (Pt. 2)
2026/10/27
Everyone longs to be seen. In Part 2 of our How to Win Friends and Influence People series, we’re looking at Dale Carnegie’s principle of making people feel important through the lens of scripture, and Kylie’s mom, Shelley (our beloved “Mama Pod”), joins Kylie and Shannon on the couch.
Carnegie teaches honest, sincere appreciation. Jesus modeled it, noticing the people everyone else overlooked, like the woman at the well, Zacchaeus, and the blind beggar. In this episode, we talk about how the Holy Spirit gives us the key to someone’s heart and how one simple prayer can change a person’s day: “Lord, put me in the right place, at the right time, with the right people.”
You’ll hear a prayer over breakfast that drew a stranger across the room, a bee sting at a 107-degree boutique that led a young woman back to Jesus, the 4 a.m. driveway encounter that changed Kylie’s life because one man chose to see her, and how a simple card slipped under a dressing room door led to a salvation backstage at the Andy Williams theater.
This week’s challenge: Write three thank-you notes. Encourage a coworker, tell your spouse something you appreciate about them, or compliment someone behind their back. People bloom where they’re appreciated.
If this episode blessed you, like, subscribe, and share it with a friend. Better yet, make it a challenge in your women’s group or church this week!

Let GO and Let God! You Cannot Fail!
2026/08/04
What does it really mean to let go and let God?
This week on Winning the Week, Shannon and Kylie travel to the Champions for Christ Youth Rally in Branson, Missouri, for an honest conversation about faith, surrender, and trusting God’s timing.
Along the way, they share the story behind their new “Glory Mobile” van and explore why holding on too long may keep you from receiving what God has next. Through a powerful Dead Sea illustration, they reveal how faith isn’t about striving harder, it’s about releasing control, resting in God’s promises, and trusting Him to carry you.
If you’re waiting on a breakthrough, struggling to surrender, or wondering whether God is still working, this Christian podcast episode will remind you: even when you can’t see or feel it, God has not stopped working on your behalf.
Overcoming Imposter Syndrome Through Abiding
2026/07/06
Are you working for God, or walking with Him? In part 2 of this powerful series, Kylie and Shannon dig into the story of Mary and Martha to unpack the difference between performing for God and abiding in His presence. Discover what true intimacy with God looks like, why trusting beats controlling, and a simple weekly challenge to deepen your walk with Him.
Imposter Syndrome, Perfectionism & Abiding in Christ: Stop Performing and Start Resting in God's Grace | Part 1
2026/06/24
Have you ever felt like your relationship with God was just another item on your to-do list? Or that no matter how much you do, it's never quite enough? In Part 1 of this two-part series, Kylie and Shannon tackle performance-based living, imposter syndrome, and what it really means to abide rather than strive. They break down the 5 voices of imposter syndrome — perfectionism, people-pleasing, the natural genius, the soloist, and the expert — and show how each one is silenced by the truth of who you are in Christ. If you've been running on empty, this episode is your invitation to rest. Fruit doesn't come from striving — it comes from connection.
Breaking Free: How to Renew Your Mind & Escape the Illusion of Bondage
2026/03/23
Are you still living like you’re bound… even though Christ already set you free? This is Part 2!!
In this episode of Winning the Week, Kylie and Shannon unpack the true meaning of renewing your mind and why so many believers remain stuck in patterns of thinking that don’t reflect their freedom in Christ.
Through powerful illustrations, biblical truth, and practical application, this conversation will help you recognize the lies that keep you in bondage—and show you how to step fully into your new identity.
We talk about the daily practice of renewal, what it means to “put off the old self,” and how God’s Word transforms not just your thoughts—but your emotions, memories, and responses.
If you’ve ever felt like your life doesn’t match the freedom Scripture promises, this episode will help you close that gap.

Everything You Need To Know About Healing: https://amzn.to/4lyKdGY
Have you ever wondered why you still feel stuck even after you've given your life to Christ? In this episode of Winning the Week, Kylie and Shannon unpack the concept of a slave mentality — the residual mindset of captivity that can linger long after God has set you free.
Drawing from Rick Renner's book Everything You Need to Know About Healing and a powerful lineup of scripture (2 Corinthians 5:17, Colossians 3:3, Galatians 2:20, Romans 6 & 12), they walk through the historical parallel of emancipation and the spiritual freedom available to every believer in Christ.
You'll learn why trauma, rejection, shame, and old thought patterns are simply old clothes that don't fit your new life — and how to take them off for good.
Plus, they kick things off with some fun Winning the Week Food Hacks to help you in the kitchen!
This episode is for anyone who has felt stuck, struggled with identity, or knows there's more of the abundant life available than what they're currently experiencing. Share it with a friend who needs to hear it.
