Unfortunately, whether you're a player, a parent, a coach, or a friendly bystander, we've all been exposed to toxic coaches. It's a sad state in the soccer culture when this is considered a "normal" part of the competitive experience. I have helped rehabilitate more players than I care to admit. Just because this is "normal" doesn't mean it's best. Healthy boundaries are vital for navigating and cultivating relationships in a healthy way. What does having a toxic coach teach the players? This episode shows how we can take RESPONSIBILITY as players, parents, and coaches. She can, and she will. She will rise! Do you tend to judge something you did as either just "good" or "bad?" When you get asked how you did, do you usually go straight to what you did wrong first? These habits aren't helping you move forward. They aren't helping you level up! They're judgmental and, at best, self-critical, but they don't give you any information on how to fix it, make it better, help repeat what you did right, or stop making that same mistake. A sad, disappointed feeling hits the pit of your stomach. Regret. We usually never just "get here" all of a sudden.  So many times in life and in a game, it's the small decisions day in and day out, moment to moment, that have lead us up to this point. Winning and losing don't "just happen" in a game, and it doesn't just happen in life either. Join Coach Jasmine as she helps you tackle the mental and emotional fitness it takes to make every play count and to play courageously. Decide to not allow anything to slip through the cracks anymore! Leave it all on the field. When you're in a defensive posture and the game is on the line, you'll need a focus phrase to help you quiet your mind and unlock your potential. Take this focus phrase and level up your game on the field and in your life! She can, and she will.  She will rise! Go get 'em!

What do you do when the spotlight is all on you? Do you freeze up? Do you overthink it? Do you question yourself? Thoughts begin to take hold: "Don't mess up. Don't embarrass yourself. I always make a mistake. I'll never get it right. I can't do this." When the spotlight is on you, that's the worst time to have your mind swirling with negative, chaotic thoughts. In this episode, we start to tackle one of the most intimidating moments on the soccer field, 1v1s. As a coach for 20 years, it's one element of the game I've seen players struggle with the most. As an achiever, it's the one thought pattern I've seen that causes most goals, dreams, and visions to be sent to the graveyard.  Let's hit this issue head on and start using this key focus phrase to unlock all the possibilities that God has for you!

Join me in this week's episode as I use my 20 years of coaching experience to coach you up, so you can level up on the field and in your life! Mental and emotional fitness is just like the physical; it needs to be worked out on a daily basis to build those mental and emotional muscles. Let's train!

You are beautifully, custom made to play an important role on whatever team you find yourself on: your soccer team, your family, your friend group, your significant other, your community, your country, and the world.  10 Out of 10 kicks off this season by laying down a mental foundation for us to build on. There are many things we cannot control, but our effort isn't one of them. Tune in, and share this with a friend. When you and your team get on the same page, you might just become an unstoppable force! She can, and she will. She Will Rise!

Being stuck has a lot to do with not knowing where you're at. Take the time to get honest with yourself about the struggle. Your struggle is very real, but you need to identify and describe where you're at right now in order to move forward. Is the struggle emotional, physical, mental or spiritual? What's your mountain?

The bottom has dropped out many times in my life, and when interviewers asked, "What kept you going?" I began to realize that maybe not everyone had my same mindset. Quitting is not an option. In this episode, I let you know what's the first step to having a "no quit" attitude.

Am I going to make it? If you've lived any amount of time on earth, you've been through something. I have climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekked to the Dead Sea and played a 90-minute soccer game at both altitudes. I've learned a lot in my journeys, on and off the field, and have made friends along the way. In these episodes, I want to support you through navigating the rough terrain of life and be in the trenches with you. You CAN make it. Because even when all hope seems lost, she can, and she will. She will rise!
