Finding Your School Rhythm: Back to School Rhythm & Reset Series
2026/08/06
School is starting up again, and if you're feeling a little nervous, excited, or even a little mixed up inside- You are NOT alone!! In this episode, we are kicking off our back to school Rhythm & Reset series by talking about why getting back into school routine can feel extra tricky for ADHD brains.
Starting a new school year is a lot like learning the beat of a brand new song. At first, it might feel a little wobbly, but with time and practice, your brain will find it's rhythm. We'll talk about simple ways to make mornings feel easier, build new routines one step at a time, and remember that you don't have to be perfect to have an amazing school year!
So let's take a nice deep breath, give yourself lots of grace, and let's find your school rhythm together.
Takeaways from today's episode:
Your brain needs TIME to find its school rhythm- It's okay if it doesn't happen on the first day. You don't have to be perfect to have a great school year. Small routines can HELP mornings and school days feel a little calmer. ADHD brains often need extra time to adjust to changes, and that's completely okay. Give yourself GRACE and celebrate the little wins along the way! Thank you for listening friends! Lets keep learning, growing, and journeying together through ADHD together! Have a blessed day! Make sure you follow to stay tuned into the rest of this series and share with friends who this may be helpful for too!

WHY DO I LIE? (PART 1)
2023/04/14
The goal is to grow to be a person of great character and integrity, and that is why gaining a deeper understanding of the connection between ADHD and lying is so important. ADHD is NOT an excuse for lying, it's simply an explanation of WHY telling a "Fib" is the response of a neurodiverse mind to feeling under stress or threatened, more so mentally and emotionally. This is a two part series that includes the "WHY" in part 1, and the "STEPS TO GROW" in part 2. With impulsivity, distractibility, and working memory struggles to battle, often fibbing becomes a defense mechanism that is used. Let's learn and grow together so we can fight against fibbing and use tools to make sure truth wins!

Explaining our Volcano of ADHD Thoughts, Feelings, and Emotions
2023/04/14
We are all wired differently, but those of us with ADHD have a uniquely structured brain that is sometimes hard for those with "neurotypical minds" to understand. Instead of keeping quiet about how our brains work differently, let's feel empowered to educate those around us about how our brains like to be entertained and our emotions can act like a volcano sometimes! This episode will challenge you to think about your own interests and interesting ways of doing things based on how your own individual mind works differently. Put that incredibly creative cap on as brainstorming takes place to discover which wording works best for you to explain your incredible brain!

ADHD with "Rejection Sensitivity": Feeling deeply about what others think of me!
2023/04/14
Do you feel easily rejected by a friend, family member, or even someone you just met and want to become friends with? Does that feeling of rejection feed into obsessive negative thinking that causes beliefs that often have no evidence of being true? Those of us with ADHD often struggle with something called, "Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria!" This is a common struggle that kids with ADHD have and it ties into our deep seeded emotions, but you're not alone and steps can be taken to shorten the life of that feeling of rejection. This episode shares personal experience, and gives three questions to ask yourself when you find yourself feeling this way!
1. What is the meaning behind the feeling of rejection?
2. What is my body doing when I feel this way?
3. How can I learn and grow from this feeling of rejection?
Lay a strong "growth mindset" foundation so other tools and strategies will work, feeling less rejection and more confidence in who you are!
