Justin Jay Johnson’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. Before the age of 11, he survived two near-death experiences, endured 34 surgeries, lived with only a 1 in 10 chance of survival, and was told he would never speak again. For over a year he couldn’t eat food, and for years he breathed through a hole in his throat. Yet, Justin calls the snowmobile accident that almost ended his life the second greatest day of his life (behind only his wedding), because it gave him the perspective and drive that fuels his success today. Later in life, after making $0 in his first year in sales, Justin decided to “quit being average.” That decision led him to become - #1 sales rep at Salesforce - CRO by age 33 - Recognized as a top CRO by 34 - Now the Founder & CEO of The Software Sales Coach, coaching and training thousands of Tech Sales professionals to reach their highest potential. LinkedIn’s funny. Sometimes I make strategic career-related connections. Sometimes a former colleague or friend just makes sense to connect. Sometimes, however, I see someone I don’t know at all - but resonate with absolutely everything in their headline and think, “This is someone I should probably connect with.” If for no other reason than to learn something interesting and make connections with like-minded individuals. Some conversations go as planned, and some go as needed.  This one went as needed. Yes, he was the #1 rep at Salesforce earning $750k+ per year on his W2. Yes, he then started his own coaching business, earning $1.5M in Year 1, $2.5M in Year 2, and blowing the roof off the business.
