From Autopilot to Awakening: Dr Chetna Kang on the Mind's Hidden Rules
2026/09/25
Dr Chetna Kang is a consultant psychiatrist, thought leader, and executive member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Spirituality and Psychiatry group. A medical doctor trained at Imperial College London and an integrative adult psychiatrist with 27 years' experience, she bridges the science of mental health with spiritual models of care — drawing on 30 years as a theologian and practitioner in the Vedic tradition of Bhakti Yoga.
A two-time finalist for the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Public Educator of the Year award, Dr Kang spent 15 years on BBC radio, presenting on Radio 4's Thought for the Day and the BBC World Service's World of Wisdom, and conceived and hosted Shrinkwrapped, a live BBC mental health and disability show, for three years. She's a regular voice across TV, print, and digital media, and speaks internationally at organisations including Intel, EY, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Barclays, and the House of Commons.
In this episode, Dr Kang joins Prim Rose Light to explore the subconscious mind, fear, love, and the difference between religion and spirituality — asking what it really means to grow in consciousness, not just behaviour. This is a deep and reflective episode and we hope you will tune in for more spiritual wisdom when we have Dr Kang rejoin us for a part 2 in due course.
Connect with Dr Kang: @drchetnakang on Instagram, and on YouTube.

Breaking the Chains: Divorce, Identity, and Choosing Yourself
2026/08/30
Welcome back to Prim Rose Light, where we sit at the intersection of law, identity, culture, and ambition — and today's conversation lives right in the middle of all four.
My guest is Bhavna Radia is a family lawyer, a mum of three, and the founder of Divorce Right.
Bhavna's story starts somewhere a lot of us will recognise: growing up with expectations, with a "lane" she was meant to stay in, and a culture that doesn't always make space to question that. She stepped out of it and then went through her own divorce, which, even with a law degree behind her, was still frightening. It was that experience that showed her divorce was never just about legal advice and process. It's so much more than that.
She kept coming back to one question: if divorce was this hard for her with the training, the language, the knowledge what must it be like for a woman with none of that, and no one to explain things in plain English?
That question became her mission. Today, through her community platform Money Saving Divorce, Bhavna helps women protect themselves legally, financially, and emotionally — turning the most intimidating parts of divorce, disclosure, finances, court, negotiation, into something manageable. Her message to every woman who feels stuck is simple: you're not alone, you're not trapped, you have options, and you're going to be okay.
As Marvin Mitchelson once said, "A divorce lawyer is a chameleon with a law book." Today, we're going to find out what that really means — and so much more, about breaking free, rebuilding, and choosing life on your own terms.
Bhavna's story is a real and raw account and one of my favourite conversations to date on Prim Rose Light, so I truly hope you will smile, laugh and perhaps even cry along with me as we are transported to the very real story that she shares. I am so pleased that she is now sharing her story, embracing love and blended families and navigating this in a South Asian context, which brings its own cultural challenges and nuances.
If anyone does need help navigating divorce and/or separation, noting the figures are now 1 in 2, please do reach out to Bhavna directly. She is so personable and wise in her approach. Happy to make an introduction as needed too.

Inside the AI Revolution: Trust, Legal tech & the Race to Keep Up
2026/05/19
In this episode of Prim Rose Light, I finally get a chance to talk more on AI. I was delighted to be joined by my friend AbbasKhan, a UK‑qualified solicitor turned legal tech leader who now runs the EMEA business for eBrevia — one of the world’s most widely used AI contract analytics tools. Outside of his day job, Abbas is also building Togii, a new compliance layer designed to help organisations safely harness any and allLLMs.
We explore what it really feels like to work at theintersection of law, AI and transformation — the excitement, the responsibility, the pressure, and the human questions that sit underneath the technology. This episode isn't just for those in the legal profession as there are general principles which audiences may find interesting, but clearly, given both of us working either as lawyers or with lawyers, there is direct applicability to our fellow legal eagles.
If anyone is interested in reaching out to Abbas to learn more about the eBrevia tool or indeed, Togii which is still in build mode, please do reach out to him on: [email protected]

Root causes, real healing: A functional medicine journey from motherhood to medicine
2026/04/13
In this latest episode on Prim Rose Light, I was delighted to welcome Nishta Patel. Nishtha entered functional medicine not through trend or theory, but through lived experience. When her daughter was diagnosed with IBD at 14, she found herself searching for answers beyond symptom suppression. That search led her to functional medicine, where she trained formally and discovered a framework that aligned with her instinct to ask why the body behaves the way it does.
Today she works with individuals facing complex gut andautoimmune conditions, combining clinical testing, lifestyle medicine, nutrition, stress physiology and nervous system support. As an Indian woman, she integrates the everyday Ayurvedic practices she grew up with whole spices, warm meals, ginger, cumin, circadian rhythm now understood through a scientific lens.
Her work is grounded, compassionate and deeply practical. She believes healing is not about extremes but about consistent habits, reducing inflammation, supporting gut integrity and building resilience.
Through her one‑to‑one practice and her retreats with Wellness Mommas, she creates spaces where people feel seen, supported and empowered.
Find Nishtha at thegutexpert.com and on Instagram @thegutexpert_.

The space between us: On love, parenting and coming home to yourself with the beautiful dad and daughter duo, Pablo and Val.
2026/04/07
On this episode of Prim Rose Light, this particular episode is so close to my heart. I sat down with the wonderful Pablo and Valerie from @time.with.dad on Instagram — one of my absolute favourite accounts and honestly, if you haven't found them yet, please go now - I am confident you won't regret it. It is nothing short of exquisite, raw and vulnerable and I have cried watching them more times than I have realised but at least could admit!
Pablo is a psychology-trained communicator and expert in human connection. He is launching his beautiful new Spanish-language Instagram channel, @tiempodeprofundizar, dedicated to helping people communicate more effectively and build deeper, more meaningful relationships. Valerie is an intuitive life coach, world traveller and numerologist, devoted to helping people reconnect with who they truly are. You can find her at valerietrench.com if you are keen to explore a numerology reading or coaching.
Together we cover so much ground including love and what it really means to give and receive it, conscious parenting and raising daughters, the evolving relationship between parents and adult children, learning to trust your own voice over the noise of the world, emotional awareness, going inward and what a life truly well lived looks like. Val also shares what numerology has unlocked for her and it is fascinating.
These are two of the most grounded, warm and genuinely wise people and I know and have met on my journey and I hope you are going to love this conversation as much as I did.
Sending you all love, light and healing,

2026/03/30
I want to say first off, that I am not the sort of content creator that will typically say everything is so amazing and wonderful and you have to check out XYZ. However, there is a time and a place to be bursting with excitement to share a real gem and this podcast episode, is truly that. It brings me heartfelt joy to welcome the wonderful🌸 Priya Munjal 🌸
This episode is one of the most powerful conversations ever recorded on Prim Rose Light. For me at least, it is a masterclass in conscious parenting, self-healing, identity reclamation, and the courage it takes to break generational cycles delivered through the lived experience of someone who has walked through profound loss and chosen to rise.
Priya Munjal shares her extraordinary moving journey from being a high-achieving commercial lawyer navigatinggrief twice in the early years of her marriage, to becoming a young mother raising two children without motherly support, drowning in rage, overwhelm and self-blame, and how she rose anyway.
Her story is one of turning pain into purpose, grief into wisdom, and motherhood into a spiritual awakening.
I am sharing Priya's wonderful page on IG for anyone that wants to reach out and follow her for amazing tips and to learn more. She does offer support to parents and I know she is deeply committed to this work, so I am personally vouching for her excellence.

Write Like You Mean It: Kim Arnold on Clarity, Confidence and Career‑Changing Communication
2026/03/02
I’m so excited to welcome Kim Arnold onto Prim Rose Light. I first heard Kim speak at an event last year, and we connected instantly — her clarity, humour, and no‑nonsense approach to communication stayed with me long after. I cannot wait for you to hear her pearls of wisdom.
Kim is recognised as one of the world’s leading authorities on persuasive communication and is the founder of Email Attraction. She’s famously allergic to bad emails, and phrases like “I hope this email finds you well” bring her out in hives. Her work has been featured in the Financial Times, Forbes, CNBC, BBC Radio and more, and she advises global organisations including Meta, KPMG and Barclays. She is also the author of the award‑winning, best‑selling book Email Attraction – Get What You Want Every Time You Hit Send, described by the Financial Times as “engaging and memorable.”
In this episode, Kim and I explore what it truly means to write with impact in a world overflowing with noise. We discuss why effective writing is a core leadership skill, how tone shapes trust, and why clarity is one of the greatest gifts we can offer others. Kim breaks down the components of strong writing, how to adapt your style across emails, reports and presentations, and how to structure messages so people actually read — and act on — them.
We also dive into the nuances of communication across cultures, generations and neurotypes, including why idioms can unintentionally exclude or confuse. Kim shares practical strategies for navigating “rude‑sounding” emails, managing difficult personalities, and using assertive language without triggering bias — especially for women, who are often judged more harshly for directness.
Together, we unpack how written communication shapes influence, workplace dynamics and career progression, and how leaders can combine impact with emotional intelligence. We also look ahead to how AI will transform the way we write, connect and show up professionally.
This conversation is full of insight, humour and deeply practical advice — a masterclass in writing well, thinking clearly, and leading with intention.
Kim's book can be ordered from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Email-Attraction-what-want-every/dp/1781335044/ref=sr_1_1?adgrpid=194864520388&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.qPS5AxlPfaw9haS564f2PQ.oeq0YoAqjs56GB6CeR9YN-d0Gi9BLzwu8cbGCMF87KA&dib_tag=se&gad_source=1&hvadid=793502058220&hvdev=c&hvexpln=0&hvlocphy=9195174&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=4230146013632147460--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4230146013632147460&hvtargid=kwd-1233720122535&hydadcr=24434_2435207_1595&keywords=kim+arnold+email+attraction&mcid=53ad8e0ce17e3b8cb6398dcc5c417796&qid=1772448248&sr=8-1

Navigating Law, Neurodiversity & Identity: A Personal Journey Into Employment Law
2026/02/19
In this episode, we’re joined by employment lawyer, Jen Kingsmill who speaks entirely in their personal capacity, sharing an honest and deeply human look at their journey into the legal profession. From navigating the challenges and strengths of being neurodivergent, to finding their place within employment law, they bring a thoughtful and grounded perspective shaped by lived experience, social mobility, and the intersectional layers of their identity.
Our conversation explores what “good culture” really means inside organisations, why so many workplace issues can stem from culture gone wrong, and how neurodiversity is increasingly showing up in employment matters. We also unpack the critical role managers play in supporting neurodivergent colleagues, the realities of reasonable adjustments and Access to Work, and the nuanced questions around disclosure, diagnosis, and stigma.
Together, we reflect on mental health, imposter syndrome, and the pressures of high‑performance environments like law — and how these experiences intertwine with neurodivergent traits. This episode stays practical, compassionate, and high‑level, offering insights for both employers and employees while centring the guest’s personal story.
Listeners seeking tailored legal advice based on the themes discussed are welcome to reach out to the guest directly on a chargeable basis. Please do reach out to Jen at [email protected]

What happens when a referee becomes a revolutionary? Meet the wonderful Janie Frampton
2025/10/14
What happens when a referee becomes a revolutionary?
In this episode, Janie Frampton—former FIFA official, governance expert, and unapologetic equity advocate—joins me, Roshni for a conversation that’s part memoir, part manifesto. From the pitch to the boardroom, Janie shares how she’s challenged bias, built bridges, and stayed rooted in purpose—even when the system tried to sideline her.
Expect laughter, legacy, and a few uncomfortable truths about misology and the realities of a single mum juggling so much both on the pitch and off. This isn’t just about sport—it’s about power, visibility, and the courage to rewrite the rules. Janie is such a delightful and open soul and is really a powerhouse of a woman.
I wholeheartedly recommended tuning in if you’ve ever felt underestimated, overlooked, or ready to lead from wherever you stand.
I am including Janie's website for anyone that wants to book her or check her out - you won't regret it!
