Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from James and myself. James pulls another tear-jerker out of nowhere with this month’s watch along, Frienen Beyond Journey’s End. Which is a delightful anime about an elf who does what most elves do, live a long time. In this anime, we watch the main character, Frienen, appear to stay roughly the same age as all the other members of her adventuring group grow older. How does she deal with this? Watch along and find out.  #FrienenBeyondJourney’sEnd#anime #CrunchyRoll #watchalong Please enjoy, SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  [email protected]

James and I travel to the dark and ominous land brought us to in Call of Cthulhu RPG. One of our favorite settings outside of the well-traveled medieval fantasy setting brought to you by D&D, Pathfinder, and the like, CoC brings that ever-present sense of dread that is seen throughout the HP Lovecraft stories.  #rpg #Lovecraft #tabletop #CallofCthulhu Please enjoy, SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  [email protected]

James and I start watching the live-action One Piece series from Netflix. Did it hold up to the tremendously long anime series that has garnered fans world wide? James and I have a short one for you folks this week as we discuss the looping nature of the smash hit indie game, Outer Wilds. The game that quite conceivably started the time loop craze in games, Outer Wilds is a very charming and interesting game that started out of a college graduate project that went big. Was I impressed? Did James enjoy it? Find out in this week’s episode. #videogame #OuterWilds #indie #podcast Please enjoy, SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  [email protected]

Jackie joins us after a bit of a break, to watch one of our favorite films of all time, the animated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s #TheHobbit.  This adaptation from the famed animation film studio Raken and Bass was released in 1977 and is, in our opinion, one of our favorite films to be released by them.

James and I delve into the backstory of one of League of Legends mainstays, Jinx, in the highly praised #Netflix animated series, Arcane.

James and I watch a slightly disturbing alternate-history anime called Tanya the Evil, where magic and science are side by side in a World War 1-like universe.  In this, Tanya looks like a small child commanding troops for the Empire, but she is far more than that.

Welcome to ”SPCAC: Superman Red Son Watch Along”! Join us as we embark on an exhilarating journey through one of the most captivating alternate universes in the DC Comics multiverse. James and I delve into a delightful JRPG this week called Earthbound. Although a bit more niche when it first came out and still a bit of a cult classic, it has joined the ranks of Nintendo greatness over the years. While most first learned of the game’s existence through Super Smash Bros, it has undoubtedly had a bit of a  resurgence over the last few decades.   #Earthbound #Nintendo, #gaming #podcast Please enjoy, SPCAC contacts https://linktr.ee/seriouslypointlessconvo  [email protected]
