Today we discuss what the metaverse is, where they are, how to access them, and have a general discussion about what they hold for humanities future in terms of evolution or regression.

Leroy & Maz discuss "Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich", opening the conversation to the nazis heavy use of methamphetamine and the impact the substance had on the outcome of WW2 in general. We also discuss child birth and the implication of being a physical soul.

Leroy and Maz begin to wrap up the war and peace series with topics like positivity and ennui. We break down the polarity's of love and positivity vs being brash and harsh, via the characters Count Rostov and General Bolkonksy, and explore the modern term "toxic positivity."

Leroy & Maz continue the War & Peace series by relating Tolstoys’ masterwork, to the current pandemics’ social aspect. We talk about death as one of the novels central themes, and discuss googles’ Kurtzweilian efforts to “solve death” via the CALICO project, as well as some gruesome ways to die. 

Leroy and Maz briefly discuss the Christmas holiday, and then dive into the back story of Leo Tolstoys' novel- War and Peace. In this episode, we discuss the events that lead to Tolstoy wring the book, The Decemberists, Russian geo-politics of the 1800's, a brief biography of the life of Leo Tolstoy, and the first scene in War & Peace.
