This episode I sit down with my fellow EMM competitors Grace Thompson and Garrett Shanks to discuss our experience at the Colt Starting Clinic. We also talk about our journey to the EMM and what will come after our week long in Texas.

I speak to JP Dyal horsemanship and his intern Elijah Cooper, as well as his assistant Payton Thomas. We discuss the impact mustangs have had in our personal lives, and the lives on inmates who train them at R3C!

I competed in the SoCal TIP Challenge and got to speak with some awesome friends about their mustangs! It was a great successful weekend for all horses and burros. There wasn’t one animal there that shouldn’t have a proud trainer!

Meet young horsewoman Cat Zimmerman as we talk about her mustang training journey!

This is a wonderful episode to end this season on!  We get to hear from Camille McCutchon, a young horse trainer from Texas! She shares with us her insight on Mustang gentling and their behaviours. We went over signs of over stimulus, as well as the signs of relaxation.  I asked Camille her opinion on BLM issues and topics, its a great question raiser of what is the best method of management practice for the wild horses and burros.  Do not forget that Abi and The Mustangs will return on January 8th,2121! Stephanie Boyles Griffin is the Senior Scientist for the Wildlife Protection Department at The Humane Society of the United States (The HSUS). For more than 20 years, she has worked with federal and state agencies, non-governmental agencies, municipalities, corporations, and communities to develop and implement humane effective, and sustainable wildlife management policies and programs. She also to serves as a Commissioner on the Maryland Wildlife Advisory Commission. In this episode, Stephanie gives us insight into her work and knowledge working on the Wild Horse Issues.  She delivers her point very well and definitely offers some ideas for us to consider, pertaining to the issues themselves. Also, a huge shoutout to Stephanie for really guiding the conversation for me when it was difficult to know exactly what questions to ask! Iris the Nomad is a remarkable young woman with an incredible goal. Take her 4 mustang mares on a journey across the Western US! In this interview we hear all about her preparation and obstacles in the road she has had to overcome so far. 

In this episode, I travelled to Gilbert AZ to compete in a 100 day, mustang TIP challenge! I was so blessed to speak with old friends and make new ones at this welcoming show environment. The trainers poured so much hard work and training into these horses and burros!
