This week, we decide to do (for free) what people get paid for. We decided to write our own comic arcs. If you listened to the end of the last episode, we know that the character Liam gave to Max was Ant-Man. The character Max gave to Steven was Rocket Racoon. And I (Liam), thanks to Steven, was burdened with Gambit, possibly my least favourite Marvel hero. Even below the Whizzer. It’s funny because of his mongoose blood. Oh my god, it’s been a while! Not gonna name names, but SOMEONE on the pod is disabled and had possibly life-altering surgery and is recovering well, so here we are. This week, we (Liam and Steven) realise that Max has read nowhere near enough weird comics that us champions have, so we make some suggestions as to how he can broaden his reading. We look at some mega weird stuff. Steven even brings along one of those backwards Japanese ones? What are they called? Mangos? I guess there’s no way of finding out, so we’ll never know. This week, Steven is playing the role of Max, Max is playing the role of Steven and guest starring Liam as himself, the boys decide to recast films as if being made in the modern day. Steven has given the game away early by name dropping someone to Liam the night before they recorded, Max is hitting hard subjects with his recasting and Liam just wants some Star Wars fun. Is that too much to ask for?! There's also another impromptu edition of Toon Talk (that’s what we’re calling it now) when Max and Liam gush about how good American Dad is while Steven stays suspiciously quiet.
