How much does your business bring in on avg? (better yet what is the worst month you have?) How much does your business spend on avg (better yet look for the most expensive month you have had in spending) this gives you an indication of where you are in profitability while providing a cushion for better months. You should know the following at all times! How much are your operation expenses total monthly/annually (everything except payroll) to keep your business running you need this at a minimum? How much do you spend on payroll monthly? How profitable is each person on your team? How much does your marketing cost you? how long does it take to break even on that cost and ROI? What are your closing ratio numbers and how does that affect your business revenue? How much revenue have you grown in the last year compared to the previous? is this sustainable and how can you use this information to predict yr over yr growth? You should be able to make projections for the next year at a minimum. It's important that you don't start working on all your goals without thinking and planning on what support you need so that you are effective in your efforts!    4 categories to look at for what I need to support my goals      - People- do I have the support from the right people to stay on track to reach goals?      - Knowledge- do I have the knowledge to take the steps or do the tasks I need to? do I know what the tasks are?      - Map out goal- do I clearly know what the goal is, why I want it and what the steps will be?      - Capital/Budget- how will this affect the way I can achieve the goals?   These are examples of the type of things you need in your life for support. Not all of these you will be able to implement or build in your support system right away. Ever heard of "comparisonitis"? It's simple really: you are someone who compares yourself to someone else. You (knowingly or unknowingly) look outside yourself for ideas or validation. GIRL, we all have! We all fall trap to comparisonitis at some point in our lives. But you're just confirming your own fears when you're busy comparing yourself. If you're still stuck in it, let me help get you out. 💫 Just know that I want to pour into you because I want to see you go further than I have! I know you can, you just need a little direction to get there. First, you need to know that we are all in different chapters or stages in our journey. Whoever you're comparing yourself to maybe farther in their journey than you. They might look like an overnight success, but they have probably been out here for YEARS just grinding to get where you see them now. Also, it's okay to love to learn! It's okay to get inspiration and ideas from people you admire, but make sure you're not secretly comparing yourself to someone else in the back of your mind. COMPARE YOURSELF TO YOURSELF! 👏 Make sure you're focused on YOUR GROWTH. Set goals and watch how far you've come! The goal should always be to be better today than yesterday! Be intentional with what progress you want to make. Put blinders on and stop mimicking others. There is only one of you... and while you might be inspired by someone else, make sure you adapt things to you and for you! It's not wrong to want a mentor or leader, but just make sure you're not trying to become a carbon copy. And for crying out loud, celebrate your wins, boo! Big or little. If you're not celebrating your wins, you're not giving yourself the credit you deserve. You need that validation... from YOU. And take action! Don't just sit there smoking hope-ium; don't be the woman that just hopes things will happen. Take action! Don't feel like a failure. Failure is where we learn what didn't work and move on to something that does. This weeks Unburden Your Business podcast is FIRE! I have guest Megan Buckley, a relationship mindset coach, talk to us about being working professionals and building deeper connections. She breaks down the typical struggles business owners face and how to start working on building or healing them. Go give it a listen! Let us know what you loved or what you'd like to hear more about. I'd love to have her back to help you more ❤ Giving yourself permission to focus on your relationships are as important as the focus you give to your business. Put in the work. As a business owner, it's so easy to get immersed in our work, our "business baby." We tend to let other relationships, whether romantic or business connections, fall to the wayside. We have to stop pouring ourselves solely into the business and then waking up one day to find ourselves feeling empty in other areas. How do you tap back into those deeper connections after skirting by giving the bare minimum for so long? You acknowledge you're not happy or you're seeing red flags and you're ready to fix that. If you just keep going on the same as you always have, things can spiral. You could become resentful to yourself or your partner. It can get so bad it might be something you can't come back from... so why not act now?! Start giving over some focus and attention to the relationship you're wanting to build or fix. Either way, you need to start by opening a line of communication. This can start with recognizing you're a damn good business owner who clearly has the skills to get shit done. So write down your strengths and use them! Then note your partner's strengths and make sure you bring those out too. You're going to have to work on your conflict resolution to get anywhere. Don't assume you know what your partner is thinking. You're going to need to ask questions! And don't assume your partner understands where you're coming from or what you have to say. Ask them what they heard, that way you can clarify any gaps of miscommunication. This isn't specific to people with romantic partners. This goes for any type of relationship where you're feeling like you're not aligned with who you're trying to communicate with. If the relationship is feeling off, it's time to decide whether or not you need to give it more focus.
