A Graceful Dance into the Deep, with Katerina Sadurska
2026/01/30
I invite you to enjoy this conversation with freediving World Champion and record-breaking freediver, Katerina Sadurska of Ukraine.
This episode shall serve as the final installment of this four-part series—now we have heard from a total of four World Champion, World Record-holding freedivers.
This conversation with Katerina is a breath of fresh air. I feel a particularly feminine touch in her exposition, which brings great balance to the masculine energy of relentlessly striving for more.
I use feminine and masculine here not in the biological sense, but rather in the archetypal sense—where both sides lie on the same spectrum, each with equal importance and belonging. We must acknowledge and integrate the masculine and feminine elements of our psyche to live a whole life. It’s both a metaphor and a practical lesson we can apply to our individual process in freediving, to freediving as a collective sport, and in our everyday lives.
As such, Katerina’s voice is the keystone of the project, and I am so grateful to her for sharing her brilliant wisdom and gentle touch with us.
A New Era of Sport: On AI & Human Enhancement with Pure Sport Vigilante, William Trubridge
2026/01/19
Freedivers and nonfreedivers alike! Materialists, minimalists, naturalists, and enhancement…ists!!Here is a fascinating conversation with freediving legend William Trubridge on the future of sport. AI has erupted onto the scene in our modern world! What consequences will AI technology effect on anti-doping in sport? Human enhancements have burst onto the scene! What need have we for anti-doping when doping IS the game? (See….Enhanced Games coming Memorial Day 2026)
Will culture choose to embrace AI in all its forms, accepting the consequences both imagined and presently unimagined? Will culture choose to embrace human enhancement in hopes of a healthier global population and aspirations of unseen horizons of human performance? How much say do we have? Is it even up to us at all? Are you willing to take action? How far are you willing to go for the future you want. One thing is for sure: William Trubridge is a man of action in the fight for the future he wants. Whether I agree or disagree with his ideas or methods, he has my respect.Enjoy.PEACE!!

FREEDIVING WORLD CHAMPION, Petar Klovar
2025/11/20
Petar Klovar (@petar_klovar) is a multiple time freediving world champion who currently holds absolute world records in two of the four competitive freediving disciplines—the two which do not involve any 'finwear.'
He's freediving’s bad boy. He's constantly under attack. No matter what Petar does, people have an opinion. Some watch in awe, some prey on his downfall...while others actively plot it.
He’s just too good to be true! If it isn't possible for me, it isn't possible for you!
I sat with Petar for two hours to hear his side of the story.
Have a listen.

107. Sam Vardanyan- Azeri blockade of Lachin Corridor in Artsakh (worsening humanitarian crisis)
2023/09/12
102.Sam Vardanyan on the State of Armenia
2022/09/26
On Wednesday morning (9/21), Armenia’s Independence Day, I sat down with Sam to discuss* the state of Armenia and the events which took place last week in Armenia and Yerevan. Including attacks by Azerbaijan on sovereign Armenian land and a subsequent visit by Nancy Pelosi- the highest ranking US official to visit Armenia since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Sam was at Yerablur on Armenia's Independence and was detained by police as was every other civilian at the cemetery, many of whom were parents of fallen soldiers and were beaten and dragged off by the police in anticipation for PM Nikol Pashinyan's ceremonial visit to the cemetery.
Some of you will remember Sam from his appearance on the podcast in 2020 after fighting in the 44 day war for Artsakh when we first met in Yerevan shortly after he returned from the front lines near Shushi.
Welcome back, Sam (Dustin, The Wind's first guest nearly two years ago) and thank you for sharing your knowledge and opinions.
**Mostly I listened while he talked and Sam and he did a wonderful job explaining the current events, the region's history, and his all around thoughts on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Very happy to share this with Sam.
73. War on Artsakh...for what?
2021/11/23
This week I tell the story of one of the most bizarre days of my entire life. November 18, 2020. On that day I drove my black rental Kia from Goris, Armenia through Lachin Corridor to Stepanakert, Artsakh just one week after war in the region ended at the signing of a "peace treaty". I give my recounting of the day- what I witnessed, how I felt, and a few of my thoughts on the dirty war waged on the people of Artsakh by Azerbaijan and Turkey.
On the Dusty Trail: 3- The Spirit of Adversity
2021/01/22
What is it about tragic situations that promotes such strong bonding and prosocial acts within groups of people? Why are we so willing to set aside our self-interest and lay down our lives in the interest of group survival? What lessons can we learn from these hardships that we can carry into our lives during peaceful periods?
