Well, we learned something new this week. Bulleit has a single malt whiskey and we (being primarily bourbon and rye lovers) do our best to review this. It definitely has a unique flavor that is different from what is usually expected from Bulleit. It has been a while since we have reviewed a Penelope product. At one point, Penelope was one of the up and coming whiskey brands (they source, so not a distillery). Now, they are a fairly well known brand that can be fairly easily found throughout the US. The Architect is a bourbon aged with French oak staves which gives the whiskey unique flavor that does not drink the proof. If you've followed us for a while, you likely know that we enjoy Wild Turkey 101, but surprisingly, none of us have every had Wild Turkey Bourbon. The big question is, is it still good? As many of you likely know, Weller, which comes out of the Buffalo Trace Distillery, is a very elusive bottle and if you are lucky enough to find one, it comes with a hefty price tag. This is an abnormal whiskey with a very unusual taste profile. Whistlepig has done some interesting collaborations which started with Big Papi and using maple bats in the aging process. However, this collaboration with the Alfa Romeo F1 team is quite different. They finished these bottles with Lychee and Oolong tea, but does it work?
