We said we'd talk about it, so we have - it's Jo and Si on weight loss, weight gain, the stresses and strains of life. We also lose our rag at silly things.

Jo and Simon talk about fetes and Jo's award winning lemon curd. Jo sounds off about misleading food photography, and Si waxes lyrical about competitive eating.

Cheese rolling, marrow dangling, and rhubarb thrashing - Jo and Si talk about quaint British food sports.

Happy Easter!!! This week Jo and Si talk about Easter, their plans and traditions. This week's ingredient is the cabbage, which is unfortunately because neither Si nor Jo appear to know what a cabbage is. In the kitchen cringe corner Si opens fire at tiny teeny herb bottles, and Jo reveals her recipe envy. 

To celebrate Mother's Day, we invited on no other than Simon's mum to talk about her amazing experiences living in Sri Lanka with two young children. Jo gets infuriated by jus, and Simon lays into Hello Fresh.

This week we're joined by Kate, host of the Flour, Butter, Eggs, and Sugar podcast chatting through the world of baking. We try and find out the bets use for an aubergine, Jo shares her peeves about tinned fruit, and Si champions the metric system. 

Simon and Jo talk about Valentine's Day and the best thing you can make with chocolate. Jo get's irate at commercially inflated prices restaurant* prices for special occastion, Si makes a tentative stab at overuse of fondant icing.  *for those listening back in lockdown #74, restaurants were places you could sit down and eat with other people to eat food and drink. **Simon talks about bucylic acid in this episode, he meant butyric acid. 

Jo asks the question on nobody's lips, what makes a dumpling a dumpling? Simon reflects on lockdowns past, present, and lockdowns yet to come, as well as whinging about the paleo-diet while Jo gets upset about pies.

After releasing episode 1.2 on 19 December, our plans sort of changed, as did the plans of a lot of people.  We wanted to record a little something to keep you festive during this festive period.

Jo and Simon share their Christmas traditions, and are joined by Dom Saunders, the Weirdy Beardy Barman to talk all things bar work, competitive cocktail making.  To make the cocktail you will need 20ml lime juice, 50ml vodka, 1 spoon of marmelade, 40 ml cranberry juice, 15mg apple juice, and a pinch of nutmeg.
