The term “ACEs” is an acronym for Adverse Childhood Experiences. It originated in a groundbreaking study conducted in 1995 by the Centers for Disease Control and the Kaiser Permanente health care organization in California. In this episode we will learn about the basics of ACEs and its impact on our lives.

Safety is the most elemental human need. Our desire for safety begins at infancy and follows us the rest of our lives.
