Nyssa began her nursing career in a Level 1 Trauma Center, growing into roles as a preceptor, charge nurse, and department educator before transitioning to flight nursing, where she’s served the south Atlanta area for over a decade. She’s a preceptor, a principal investigator on research focused on family presence, and a co-host of both her company’s educational podcast, AMPED, and the emergency nursing podcast The Q Word. Based at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, he has completed more than 1,700 patient transports with the LifeFlight team. He is also an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and a nationally recognized speaker, author, and educator. Dr. Gooch holds leadership roles with the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners and the Air and Surface Transport Nurses Association. Graham holds a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Nursing from the University of Calgary, along with specialty training in critical care from Mount Royal University. He is credentialed as a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN), and Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), and is currently pursuing studies to become a nurse practitioner.
