When Time's Got You (It's Got You)
2026/10/04
We have more ways than ever to fill our schedules, stay productive, and keep ourselves constantly entertained, but we haven't been given any more time. Scripture reminds us that life is shorter than we think and that we have a responsibility to choose how we use it. The goal isn't to cram even more into an already busy schedule—sometimes the wisest use of our time is actually to stop. (Talk by Josh Daubert)
When Money's Got You (It's Got You)
2026/09/27
Money isn't inherently good or bad. It's a tool. But because it's such a powerful tool, it has a unique ability to shape our priorities, influence how we see the world, and quietly take over more of our hearts than we realize. Jesus warns that we cannot serve both God and money, not because having money is wrong, but because money can easily become something we trust, chase, cling to, and allow to define us. The goal isn't to have nothing; it's to hold what we have loosely. We can use wisdom, remember that everything we have ultimately comes from God, live generously, and learn to trust Him with our future. There's nothing wrong with having money or possessions; we just don't want them to have us. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
When Worry Takes Over (It's Got You)
2026/09/20
Worry has a way of taking a real concern and letting it grow until it takes up far more space in our lives than it should. Jesus' words challenge us to recognize that worry doesn't give us control—it steals our attention from the life we're actually living. Jesus reminds us that life is more than what we're worried about, that we matter deeply to God, and that His provision is greater than we realize. Instead of constantly asking "what if?" we're invited to redirect our attention toward God, stay present in the day we're actually in, practice gratitude and prayer, and continually trust Him with the things we cannot control. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Don't Quit Here; But Don't Stay Here Either (Don't Quit Here)
2026/09/13
Life will give us plenty of reasons to feel tired, discouraged, or ready to quit, but we were never meant to carry everything or make it through on our own. We aren't enough on our own—and that's the point. God is more than enough. Because of what Jesus has already done for us, we can find the strength and hope to keep going. The challenge as the series ends isn't simply to say, "I won't quit." It's to decide what we're going to do next: What do I need to let go of? What am I living for? And what step can I take today to keep growing in my relationship with Jesus? (Talk by Josh Daubert)
Don't Quit When Your Story Isn't Over (Don't Quit Here)
2026/09/06
Loss can make it feel like the best parts of our story are behind us and there's nothing left to look forward to. Even when life feels empty, God has not abandoned us. He is faithful, often working through ordinary people and everyday circumstances to create something new. What feels like the end may actually be the beginning of a story bigger and better than anything we can currently see. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Don't Quit When You’re Running on Empty (Don't Quit Here)
2026/08/30
Burnout rarely happens all at once. It builds slowly until we feel exhausted, isolated, and like we have nothing left to give. Elijah knew that feeling. After experiencing some of the biggest victories of his life, he suddenly hit a wall and wanted to quit. Instead of shaming him, God met him with exactly what he needed: physical rest, His presence, and people to walk alongside him. Elijah's story reminds us that reaching our limit doesn't make us weak or a failure—it makes us human. When we're running on empty, we don't have to push harder or pretend we're fine. We can slow down, take care of ourselves, draw close to God, lean on people we trust, and allow God to restore what has been depleted. (Talk by Josh Daubert)
Don’t Quit When You Get the Answer You Don’t Like (Don't Quit Here)
2026/08/16
When God’s answer isn’t the one we wanted, faith means choosing to trust His character even when we don’t understand His actions. Habakkuk wrestled honestly with God over injustice, silence, and answers that seemed to make things worse, but he refused to walk away. His circumstances didn’t change, but his perspective did. Sometimes faith is simply choosing to stand, wait, and trust—and saying, “Yet, I will praise Him,” even when life still doesn’t make sense. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Don’t Quit When Life Empties You (Don't Quit Here)
2026/08/09
Sometimes life can take things from us that we never expected to lose—relationships, jobs, opportunities, financial security, hope, or simply the energy to keep going. When that happens, pain will drive us somewhere, and we can easily turn toward anger, isolation, distraction, unhealthy coping, or trying to fix everything ourselves. But David shows us another way: when he had nothing left, he found strength in the Lord and sought God before making his next move. God never asks us to be enough; He asks us to come to the One who is enough. We don't have to figure everything out or refill our own lives. We can bring our pain, losses, fears, and emptiness to Jesus, trust Him with them, and take the next step with Him. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Don't Quit When You’re Still Waiting (Don't Quit Here)
2026/08/02
One of the hardest parts of following God is waiting, but waiting doesn't mean God has forgotten us. Joseph spent thirteen years experiencing betrayal, injustice, false accusations, and imprisonment before God's promise finally came to pass. Throughout every setback, Scripture repeatedly reminds us that "the Lord was with Joseph." God's silence encourages us to trust that even when we can't see what He's doing. Waiting isn't wasted time—it's often where God does His deepest work in us as He prepares us for what comes next. (Talk by Josh Daubert)
Don't Quit When You Can't See It (Don't Quit Here)
2026/07/26
Life often feels like trying to put together a puzzle without having the picture on the box. We only see a few confusing or painful pieces—relationship struggles, health issues, financial stress, uncertainty about the future—and it's easy to want to give up. Through the story of Elisha and his servant in 2 Kings 6, we're reminded that while we only see part of the story, God sees the whole picture. The servant panicked because he only saw the enemy, but God opened his eyes to see that He was already at work in ways he couldn't see. The challenge is to keep trusting God, even when life doesn't make sense, believing that He is working through every piece for His purposes. Instead of quitting or trying to force everything to fit together ourselves, we can place our trust in God one step at a time, knowing He is faithful and that His peace is available even before we understand the outcome. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Don't Quit When Your Story Changes (Don't Quit Here)
2026/07/19
Life rarely follows the plan we imagined. Unexpected setbacks, closed doors, broken relationships, disappointments, and unanswered questions can leave us wondering if our story has gone off the rails. This talk reminds us that we're not the author of our own story—God is. Looking at Paul's journey in Acts 16:6-10, we see that what felt like frustrating "no's" from God were actually leading to a far greater purpose than Paul could have imagined. Instead of giving up when life doesn't make sense, we're invited to trust God's direction one step at a time, remain faithful in what He's already asked us to do, and believe that even the difficult chapters can become part of a better story than we could ever write for ourselves. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Forgiveness is Freedom (How Not To Ruin Everything)
2026/07/12
In the final message of the How Not to Ruin Everything series, "Forgiveness Is Freedom," we explore one of the most challenging but life-giving aspects of healthy relationships: forgiveness. Using Hebrews 12:1-2 and Jesus' teaching in Matthew 18:21-35, this message explains that unforgiveness is a heavy burden that often feels like justice but ultimately becomes a prison for the person carrying it. Because God has forgiven us an impossible debt through Jesus, we are called to extend that same forgiveness to others. Forgiveness doesn't mean excusing wrong behavior, pretending the hurt didn't happen, or removing healthy boundaries. Instead, it means releasing it to God, trusting Him with justice, and allowing Him to begin healing our hearts. This message concludes by reminding us that becoming more like Jesus—including choosing forgiveness—is the key to healthier relationships and greater freedom. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys (How Not To Ruin Everything)
2026/07/05
We can easily get pulled into other people's drama and followers of Jesus are called to respond differently. Jealousy, gossip, suspicion, and emotional instability create chaos that affects everyone nearby. We don't have to own every conflict or become another voice adding to the noise. Instead, we're called to be peacemakers who bring wisdom, truth, and calm into a world that desperately needs it. (Talk by Joshua Ott)
Say What Needs To Be Said (How Not To Ruin Everything)
2026/06/28
One of the biggest challenges in healthy relationships is having hard conversations. Whether it's fear of conflict, disappointing others, people-pleasing, or simply feeling uncomfortable, many of us avoid the conversations we know we need to have. But avoiding difficult conversations often creates resentment, distance, assumptions, and unresolved pain. We should also receive difficult conversations with humility instead of defensiveness, recognizing that honest, loving conversations are one of the greatest ways we can love both God and the people around us. (Talk by Josh Daubert)
Marriage by Design (How Not To Ruin Everything)
2026/06/21
God's design for marriage is much more than a legal relationship or romantic partnership—it's a living picture of the Gospel. While husbands and wives have distinct roles, they share equal value before God and are called to reflect Christ's love through the way they treat one another. Healthy marriages aren't built on power, control, or keeping score, but on serving each other, fighting for each other instead of against each other, and keeping Jesus at the center. The goal of marriage is not simply happiness, but displaying the love, grace, and unity that Christ has shown to His people. (Talk by Josh Daubert)
