The Art of Detachment: Living Without Clinging
2026/01/22
In today’s episode, we reflect on a question that quietly shapesour happiness and suffering: Why do we suffer when things change, when people leave, or when life does not go as planned?
What Shiva Really Changes , Even When Life Does Not !
2026/01/10
When life feels heavy, many of us turn to Lord Shiva seeking relief from struggle, fear, and uncertainty. Known as Āśutoṣa — the one who is easily pleased — Shiva is often approached as the deity who removes obstacles and reduces suffering.
But the Śiva Purāṇa offers a deeper and subtler vision.
In this episode of Celebrating Hinduism with Giridhar, Dr. Giridhar Gopal reflects on a profound Purāṇic insight: Shiva does not remove life’s difficulties — He transforms the way they are experienced.
Drawing from the Śiva Purāṇa, this contemplation explores how suffering loosens its grip when consciousness aligns, why Shiva does not interfere with karma but changes the experiencer of karma, and what it truly means when the scriptures say, “Śivo jīva-rūpeṇa praviṣṭaḥ” — Shiva enters the being as awareness itself.
This episode is not about escaping life, but about discovering freedom within life.
If you are seeking clarity in moments of fear, ease amidst effort, or a deeper understanding of Shiva beyond problem-solving, this reflection invites you to pause, listen, and stand differently within your own life.

Welcome to "Voice of Giridhar", where we enrich lives with the rich mythology, traditions, and teachings of Hinduism. In today's episode, we dive into the fascinating story of Narsimha Avatar, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to Hindu mythology, when the demon king Hiranyakashipu gained immense power and became arrogant, he demanded that everyone in his kingdom worship him instead of the gods. Finally, Hiranyakashipu challenged Vishnu to show himself, saying that if he existed, he should appear from a pillar in the palace. Vishnu then manifested as Narsimha Avatar, a ferocious form that was half-lion and half-man, and emerged from the pillar. In a fierce battle, Narsimha Avatar killed Hiranyakashipu and saved Prahlad.
