Welp, 2025 came and went with so much to offer us cinephiles that we're just in a tizzy over films like Train Dreams, One Battle After Another, and of course Sinners So, I just had to add my two cents to the tab, lol! In this week in reviews, I give a take on both Pillion and The Importance of Being Earnest. films that are totally on different side of the spectrum. Frankenstein — Livi’s Corner Review4.4 Snaps Benicio Del Toro’s Frankenstein is a stunning love letter to classic horror and a warning about dreams pushed too far. The visuals? Crisp, seamless, and explosive, literally shook my house. Oscar delivers a brooding, magnetic Viktor. Jacob’s performance is heartbreaking and unforgettable (that voice!). Mia Goth brings the fire, the grit, and the color this story needs. It’s almost 2.5 hours and nearly too long, but the visuals carry it across the finish line.
