From Wanderlust to Eudēmonia: Event Producer Karina Mackenzie on Building Wellness Festivals, Hard Talks & Real Connection
2025/10/08
Event architect and dot-connector Karina Mackenzie (Eudēmonia; formerly Wanderlust) joins host Shenna Jean to unpack how you intentionally design a festival that actually changes people.  They trace Karina’s path from throwing American-Gladiator-style high school takeovers to programming global wellness experiences, then decode what “Eudēmonia” means (human flourishing) and how the team builds it on five pillars: movement, nutrition, mindfulness/mental fitness, sleep & restoration, and connection.  You’ll hear why IRL community beats algorithms, how to run trauma-smart, pitch-free Q&As with clear “energetic SOPs,” and why Eudēmonia invites hard conversations (and evidence) instead of echo chambers.  Karina pulls back the curtain on scaling vs. intimacy, sponsors vs. substance, and why Sunday integration matters, setting the stage for real transformation (and Shenna’s Future Self Sound Visualization session!). If you’ve been craving growth, new energy, or your next circle of soul-aligned humans, hit play & listen. This episode is a roadmap to finding your people through purpose-filled experiences. Why Brainwashing Yourself is a Good Thing & How to Do it Easily & Effectively Using Subliminal Reprogramming Audio Tracks w/ Taran Ailey
2024/09/02
Have your anxious or depressive thoughts been getting the best of you lately? You’re not alone, friend. The average human has roughly 60,000 thoughts a day, 85% which are negative and 90% which are repetitive, YIKES. (According to Cleveland Clinic & National Science Foundation)  On top of that, we are constantly inundated with subconscious messaging from social media, mainstream media, entertainment & music industries, educational systems and more that are designed to keep us in the specific frequencies connected to fear, doubt, worry, & division. How the heck is anyone supposed to keep a positive mental attitude these days?! Enter the idea of intentional brainwashing. It gets a bad rap however if you’re paying attention to what’s going on in the world, then you’d realize you’re already being brainwashed, all the time. Taran Ailey is here to offer a solution to help: a Subliminal Reprogramming audio track that is fueled by custom affirmations, and includes specific healing frequencies, binaural beats, and emotionally regulating music. Tune in to learn more about why brainwashing yourself is a great idea and how to do it effectively & easily. Some of my favorite moments from this episode: ⚡ understanding & reframing the word subliminal ⚡ how collapsing practices & habit stacking your wellness hacks  ⚡ exploring the process of thought reprogramming ⚡ breaking down frequencies, binaural beats & bilateral stimulation ⚡️ giving you a sample of what a subliminal reprogramming track sounds like 🎧 Listen now wherever you get your favorite podcasts ⭐️ If our show resonates, leave a review and share it with a friend!  ↗️ Make sure you give @taranit_up & @subliminal_reprogramming a follow to stay  🙏🏼 Big shout out to my producer & partner @theplugpodcasts for making this show a reality, thank you Julius!  https://subliminalreprogramming.com/ Use code ONEDAY to get 10% off your custom reprogramming audio track Follow @taranit_up & @subliminal_reprogramming See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

How To Identify & Shift the Glitches in Your Own Personal Matrix w/ Dr. Sam Rader
2024/08/12
What if you could recode some of your pesky coping mechanisms that are getting in your way as easily as we recode glitches in software? Today’s guest is Dr. Sam Rader who has figured out a way to do just that using her methodology called The Source Code, a new approach to healing and growth, where powerful shifts happen fast. Dr. Sam has a background in AI, neuroscience, eastern religion, and psychology and after working with clients for over two decades, she discovered there are only 12 negative patterns holding us back in life, which she calls our Coping Styles.  In this episode we pull back the curtain on a Source Code session so that you can see how when we address these patterns, instead of working with the mind, radical change is possible now. Some of my favorite moments from this episode: ⚡ exploring the 12 negative patterns we all use to cope with the human experience ⚡ experience as the catalyst for turning knowledge into wisdom ⚡ breaking down the idea & meaning of fractal patterns as the fabric of reality ⚡ experiencing an ego death that was gentle AF ⚡️ experiencing my spine clicking into place like legos  🎧 Listen now wherever you get your favorite podcasts (ya'll know I'm a Spotify girl, however you do you boo!) ⭐️ If our show resonates PLEASE leave a review and share it with a friend! 🙏🏼 ↗️ Make sure you give @drsamrader a follow to stay in the know with all things Source Code 🙏🏼 Big shout out to my producer & partner @theplugpodcasts for making this show a reality, thank you Julius!  Follow @makeonedayhappen | https://makeonedayhappen.com Dr Sam Rader website Coping Style Quiz See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Sound is the Medicine of the Future w/ Sound Facilitator Avi Sherbill
2024/06/11
What if a sound frequency is the missing prescription in your medicine cabinet? In this episode we explore how sound healing allows us to return to simplicity, community, & ourselves. We talk through the mechanics of sound as medicine, how it can impact change on an individual and collective level and why it’s important to be consciously consuming sound to aid you in your personal development journey. Guest Avi Sherbill is a Sound + Frequency Healer and founded SoundRx in 2019 to make sound healing as accessible as possible. Avi believes that sound is medicine (he’s 100% correct on this ya’ll) and that everyone deserves a sound prescription. His mission is to help people heal from deep-rooted traumas and physical ailments with evidence-based healing frequencies. At War with Wellness & At Peace with Politics w/ Reggie Hubbard
2024/05/20
When’s the last time you’ve talked about wellness in politics? An unlikely pair and at the intersection of the two stand an unapologetically Black yogi with a gong named Reggie Hubbard on assignment to weave a collective web of healing & liberation. In this episode we immerse ourselves in the power of “and” consciousness in order to create room for multiple perspectives to be held at once, something Reggie is a master at. An incredibly potent teachable moment happens around the 55 minute mark where Reggie breaks down a thought construct Shenna unconsciously brought into the conversation; make sure to tap in so you can experience the power of having someone help you hear what we can’t always hear for ourselves. Reggie, founder of Active Peace Yoga, is on a liberation mission to make yoga more accessible to all - regardless of race, gender, body type or practice level - to form peace of mind and general wellbeing as a foundation, not an afterthought. Reggie is on purpose without apology in service to honoring the ancestors and planting seeds for our collective liberation.  Some of my favorite moments from this episode: ⚡ exploring how to be at war & peace at the same time ⚡ the part that our ancestors play in our future ⚡ dancing in the shadows between the darkness & light ⚡ identifying some toxicity in the wellness industry ⚡ language reframes that break down constructs that limit our perceptions 🎧 Listen now wherever you get your favorite podcasts (ya'll know I'm a Spotify girl, however you do you boo!) ⭐️ If our show resonates PLEASE leave a review and share it with a friend! 🙏🏼 ↗️ Make sure you give @ a follow to stay connected 🙏🏼 Big shout out to my producer & partner @theplugpodcasts for making this show a reality, thank you Julius! Slowing Down to Speed Up: Lessons from 2023 & Visions for 2024
2024/01/12
This is the messiest, most awkward & cringe, extremely humbling, raw, & vulnerable episode yet. There are so many parts of me that have been avoiding the call to talk on this topic, the perfectionist parts in me are mortified that we’re going through with it without editing or going back to “fix & tweak” things, and the darkness that lives within me is terrified at its exposure.  And I’m saying fu*k it, send it anyways. In this episode I share my lessons from 2023 on healing from repressed childhood sexual trauma that surfaced in Dec 2022. This is the trigger warning and no details from the trauma are shared, just the process that I’ve been in since so that I am healed from it. I am beyond blessed that I have had people in my life that have been courageous enough to speak to their trauma and create a safe space for me to step into my healing journey with it; my intention & prayer is that this episode will do the same for someone else 🙏🏼 I trust that as more of us speak to our journeys it will help the whole to heal. And it also clears the space for me to share more about what’s on tap for 2024 and the visions ahead. So much of my healing journey has been about going deep in my own work that I teach others and I’m ready to share and amplify it with the world in a whole new way, LFG. Some of my favorite moments from this episode: ⚡getting it done & the completion energy from sharing  ⚡normalizing something so many of people are struggling with ⚡stepping into 2024 with fresh AF energy to AMPLIFY ⭐️ If our show resonates PLEASE leave a review and share it with a friend! 🙏🏼 ↗️ Make sure you give @shennajean & @makeonedayhappen a follow 🙏🏼 Big shout out to my producer & partner @theplugpodcasts for making this show a reality, thank you Julius See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
