A delayed podcast that can ONLY be blamed on Jake, this month we dive into Rian Johnson's modern day who-dunnit-hit Knives Out.  Old sleepy Jake has a thing or two to say but it's Tom who brings you the juicy yummy goods this episode, so sit down, grab a cigar and listen closely...for we have eliminated no suspects!

Episode one of season four drops with a rumble and a tumble, featuring the 2013 Richard Curtis film About Time.  Jake is back to his old tricks, picking films to pour his heart out over. Tom loves to pick holes, and hopefully everyone leaves feeling warm and fuzzy and ever, ever so British!

The name's Bond, James Bond. We finally get around to talking about the titular British spy, and for the season finale it's a first and worst to die in the Daniel Craig era kicked off so spectacularly with Casino Royale. What better time to look back on an epic saga that at the end of the year, with many ranked countdowns, strong opinions, martini cocktails, and fantastic deaths. Cheers.

After a break we're back for the penultimate episode of season three, watching Tom Cruise run around a lot trying to prevent the future in Minority Report.  Once again analysing Steven "Playmountain" Spielberg to the extreme and questioning the grime of both star and scenery, this is a fun ride for a movie that just turned 20 years old.

On this week's episode we un-enbiggenate ourselves down to the size of a dime to discuss the 1989 classic Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! There's so much to discuss for such a teenie weenie movie - including our huge love for Rick Moranis, practical sets and props, reckless parenting, yet another horrific creature death hidden in a family movie, and why we're still fascinated by shrinking people down in movies.  So pull up a tiny sofa, grab a chunk of cookie and let's go!

This month we discuss a horror masterclass with Alfred Hitchcock and Psycho. There's a lot to say about the infamous shower scene that has seeped into popular culture and been recreated, parodied and deconstructed for the last 60 years.  When you stay at the Bates Motel, make sure you don't upset Mother!

In a change of pace to our usual ramblings, this week we're looking at the fairytale drama A Monster Calls. We'll be discussing the big underlying themes, dealing with losing a family member and most importantly The Monster's distractingly nice butt. 

On this months episode we rewatch American Beauty and find ourselves experiencing the story in a very different way than 20 plus years ago. We attempt to talk through the challenging subject matter and ruminate on homosexual depiction in filmmaking and media. Tune in for a deeper dive.

As promised, we're looking at Shallow Grave from Danny Boyle this month.  It's a general cacophony of random tangents from the boys whilst they sip on G&T's to discuss Ewan McGregor, hiding a body and what a million pounds looks like.
