Reaching the unreachable with Chronic illness
2021/11/03
FEELING HELPLESS WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR CHILD’S PAIN?
You’ve done everything you should, gotten all the medications, supplements and even changed their diet, and yet there are still times it feels as if it was all for nothing.
You begin to feel hopeless and helpless. You know tomorrow will be better so you hold onto that, but today is just so hard and you have no idea how to reach the unreachable to ease your child’s pain.
The worst is when the look on their face is asking for help, and you’re out of your bag of tricks.

When you don't feel you fit in
2021/10/22
A little rant based on what I'm hearing from friends, clients, and communities. You may want to skip this one but I feel some things just need to be said.
I go from trying to get your head around where you fit in when your child is first diagnosed. To the struggle when they begin to get better.
And yes I cover the area when a group says your child isn't "_____" enough and kicks you to the curb.
You are always welcome at Surviving the Waiting Room!

Let's Talk Planners That Work For Medical Needs Families
2021/09/15
Today, we're going to talk about planners. This is one of those things that early on. When things get really complicated on our house. I leaned on different ways to keep track of things and keeping things straight in my head because I found that when things restraint in my head. Then I would know where to go look for the answers.
Plus I wouldn't have to use my brain as a filing system! Which would never work out!

A Summit Just For Parents + Caregivers of Kids With Disabilities
2021/09/01
A free 3-Day event to give Parents + Caregivers of children with disabilities a plan to ease daily stress and exhaustion with simple systems. Running from September 20-22, 2021
I'm answering the questions that you have. I’ve found speakers to answer the questions or to give you help and guidance in the areas that you're asking for. I am so excited about what is coming up. Our first summit was specifically for moms, but I knew something was missing. It didn't encompass the whole scope of who cares for kids with special needs; chronic conditions; with disabilities. And so I wanted to really make a point and expand it. And I wanted to make it something special. So I decided to create the Parent + Caregiver Summit: Children with Disabilities Edition.
